When I was a child, maybe 8ish, I was sick and staying home from school with my grandmother. My grandmother lived in a huge Victorian house that she used to run a small hospice before I was born. I hated that house and she was a weird religious lady that was physically abusive -- so I hated her too. She used to tell me that Satan lived in the house and that I shouldn't poke around. Trying to explore the house resulted in spankings (beatings). That day, I was sitting in a bed with a view of the room across the hall. Sunlight was streaming in through a large window in the room across the hall casting light across the hallway floor and into my room. I was coloring a Disney's Peter Pan coloring book. About two feet off the ground, I saw fingers wrap around the door frame and a shadowy head peak around. I froze and my hairs stood up on end. It peaked for a second then was gone. I was too scared to scream, but when I found my voice my grandmother came to me in a huff. I told her what I saw, that I thought it was a ghost, but she told me there was no such things as ghosts -- that it was probably JUST a demon. Thanks grandma!

I love that one episode of Ghost Hunters where they spent hours sitting in the dark thinking about ghosts, and then kind of thought they heard a noise. Totally made me a believer.

Stokłosa is literally 100 (sto) heads (kłosów) as in golden heads of wheat growing in the field. Also it's not a popular name.

Stoklasa means literally "hundred cobs/ears of grain", probably refering to somebody, as was said, who was a good farmer or some shit like that. It isn't super common (at the moment I can't actually remember anyone else who has it) but it isn't terribly rare. My surname means "little horse" btw.
