Known as Zeitgeist when the original vinyl of this album came out, the band became the Reivers before the CD version was released. The mix was also sadly "enhanced" for the CD version. The original mix was a bit better (especially the drums), but I don't have a good way of transferring vinyl so here's the CD version. Still a great album.
From their 1985 album Translate Slowly on DB Records.

The Reivers/Zeitgeist had a cover version of Atlantic City that was on a disc I had but the Spotify playlist has replaced that version by a version by The Hold Steady. That's a good band but I'd like to see if I can find the Reiver's version of that song. They did a very good job of changing the sound to punk instead of blues. That is often done but was for me one of the first songs I'd heard done that way. I miss it.

Comments disabled at link below. Reivers version. I really like that version of Atlantic City better than the Hold Steady cover, although I admit Hold Steady is a great band.
