I literally worked this out last week! Just moved from Traktor to a DDJ-1000 and Rekordbox 6, I'm almost there with everything. I wish they'd let you turn off quantise on setting the cue button marker too, and not just the hot cues. Maybe if you guys get a chance to chat to Pioneer suggest it... 😉

Although I don't need to finger drum, it is great to learn where to find the quantize information should I change my mind later on down the road. I noticed that you can't set your hot cues off the grid even having the Quantize option disabled. You have to turn it off on the panel still. I think it was missed in this tutorial. However it's been really helpfull to watch it and practice. Thanks Jamie!

Is this also relevant for setting a cue point in a beatless track where I want it to match and sync the other track? I want to be more responsible myself in where to set my cue and sync with any other track, but while learning Rekordbox after twenty years of Ableton, this is the only feature I am looking for. I know the right place for the cue but Rekordbox decides otherwise, or recommends a different place but I don’t want it there… Can anyone confirm or help plz? 🙏

Crossfader do u have any tips on how to not to select the track that's playing by mistake when you are putting a new track on the deck so you can sync? On traktor it's really easy I just go to settings and tell it not to insert a track on the deck that's playing

Hi, thanks for sharing this. This is so useful as I myself always had to turn quantize off and on during sets for this very reason. However, now that we’re up to RB version 6.6.4 etc it doesn’t seem to have the option in the preferences. Can you help with this or is it not a feature anymore that you can switch quantize off for various functions such as Hot Cues. Thanks and thanks for all the vids. Always appreciated by us Dj’s! 🙏🏻

How do you do this with a CDJ 3000 plugged in? The 'controller' tab isn't visible on my rekordbox settings, instead i see a 'CDJ & Devices' tab. But i can't see any specific quantize settings, only the option to have it on or off. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello I just wanted to ask you about the problem I’m having with Rekordbox, I bought DDJ 1000 almost one year ago and when I first connected everything to my laptop and speakers I was getting this annoying cracking/crackling sound when my music was playing then I fixed it in some battery options but now like a week ago it started crackling again and I can’t find any helpful info online and I also tried to increse the ASIO buffer size but it did not fix it. I wanted to ask if you have any information about this problem and what is the solution that will solve this issue. Thank you. ♥️
