I live in a condo and just wanted a hint of low end. I am not a bass head. I have Sonus faber Lumia 2's and don't really need a sub, but after watching Steve guttenberg say this is a subwoofer for people that don't like subwoofers. I also saw a video where it made Magnepan LRS+'s sound even More Amazing. My REL Zero will be here in 2 days.
Very nice listening to what you have to say. Bravo When I upgraded to a stereo pair of rel subs not only did it even out the bass throughout the whole of the room, but the fact I have them connected to each individual stereo speaker I also found it a little easier to integrate. If you experienced one then you're gonna have to experience two 😊
Hola, Pedro. I remember the days when every amp had to have a Loudness button, as it addressed the real problem with trying to listen at low SPLs. The REL seems to address the low-frequency end of the problem but not the high-frequency end, whereas a Loudness button did both when properly executed. Any thoughts, please? I love your channel, btw.
You are correct, but I don't know anyone who wants to hear more high frequency content at low levels with today's lightly resolving systems. Low frequency seems to be the real advantage here.
I am a low volume listener. I have heard the Maggies, but have also heard that they do not play well at low volumes. What do you think? I would like to hear the Sibelius. How do you think they perform at low volumes? Did you try the REL with the Sibelius? Thank you for the excellent YT channel.
Thanks for your comment. This is a "by request" outlet channel for people who want to see my vídeos in English. I don't have time to type the translations and many don't know how to activate auto translation. Thus, I choose to overdub my own voice. If you wish to see the original vídeo in Spanish, check out the main channel, De audiofilos y locos.
I have a 90’s integrated Sony amp with Klipsch rp-500m speakers. I absoultely enjoy them in mid/small size room, but sometimes I miss the low end. Do you think this will help to extend them a bit?
