I can only speak for myself but I always research migraine when I’m getting one so I have a (possibly insane sounding) suggestion, the info here is excellent but the contrast is stark and the sound is a bit harsh for a couple of reasons, one being the sound quality. So I would love migraine advice in soft contrast with a high quality and gentle sound.

Recently I have developed symptoms like migraine with aura with severe neck pain. After 1week with severe headache my whole body got numb and speech became like a baby only for 30minutes. MRI shows hemorrhage in cerebellum. But doctors couldn't identify whether it is migrain or stroke. They give me topiramate , flunarazine , pixotifen ,aspirin, atorvastatin. Now I'm sleeping day and night because of medicines.

Y'all need to look at my case then. I get almost every type of aura, and I get paralyzed on both sides of my body. My blood pressure goes up, and my heart rate also goes down along with my limbs going cold, and blood sugar falls fast. I don't have diabetes. And no concrete diagnosis yet. And I have these minutes which my family says I go lights on nobody home. I have full body weakness and brain fog and slurred speech and / or loss of ability to speak. Slacking on one side of the face. My back muscles tighten. It can be suddenly or over days

@Moses7041 I finally got some results. My EEG results were abnormal activity in my left temporal lobe and left frontal lobe into a cortical suppression. So, focal seizures into complex migraine.

I suffered from chronic migraine syndrome since I was 15 years old. I am now 68. I got migraines about every other day, year after year after year. Then, about two months ago, I went to a health food store and I bought CBD gummies. I take 30 mg. at bedtime. I have not had a single migraine since I started using them. I also suffered from chronic depression / anxiety. I started taking Lion's Mane mushroom supplements every day, two months ago, and the depression and anxiety disappeared literallly overnight. These two supplements - CBD and Lions Mane mushrooms - have freed me from chronic depression and chronic migraine. I just wanted to share this with everyone.

I get aura migraines with half body numbness and inability to properly communicate. I’ve had severe episodes that have caused complete blindness. In most cases it is accompanied with a vomit fest and a level of pain that I honestly cannot compare to any other pain I’ve felt. At age 39 i got a very mild stroke or TIA. I sat down after work and suddenly I felt the numbness take over my hand and then up my arm and then to my face. I turned around to tell my wife I think I’m having a stroke but I forgot how to talk. I knew what I wanted to say but I just didn’t know how to. While in that strange state I thought to myself... OK I’m having stroke and all I can do is control my breathing and hope it goes away without any after effects. After about five minutes it did go away and I was able to tell my wife that I just had a very mild stroke. Having no insurance I wasn’t about to put us in the hole. So I immediately changed my diet and did anything else I could possibly do to better my health. So far I’ve not gotten a second one. You focused on women. What about men?

I feel so bad for my American brothers and sisters! Your healthcare system leaves you alone, with no help unless you’re very well-off financially and is terrifying to me as an Australian. (And yes, this should have been titled as migraine advice for women)

Look at Hemiplegic migraine. Genetic. Can also happen to men. Women have XX, twice the opportunity for the gene mutation. One of the reasons migraine is more prominent in women. Molecular Geneticist, Dr. Lynn Griffith out of QUT, Australia (Queensland University of Technology) has been studying this migraine type for a while. There is some very good information coming out about this migraine type. Not easy to get docs to confirm the diagnosis, but it is treated a little differently than ordinary migraine (if you can find a Doc who actually knows enough about it to treat you appropriately)

Mine is right sided and often attacks my speech center. I can hear and understand, I just can't get my thoughts to process the words and send them to my mouth. Transient Aphasia. I Also have difficulty with anesthesia and numbing medications (lidocaine) not working correctly. Calcium, sodium and potassium channels in the brain not functioning properly. Ask an anesthesiologist why that would be. Good Luck with getting the proper diagnosis and treatment. It can be a long hard road and very frustrating along the way. Slow deep breaths!

It was not a stroke. Stroke will not go away in five minutes. You had a migraine aura.
@carlosvejar3896
@carlosvejar3896 2 года назад
@@samgreeneggs8101 maybe it wasn’t a stroke but it definitely wasn’t an aura. I’ve been dealing with migraine and auras since age 8. I’ve experienced the 3 different auras countless times. And this was no migraine episode either. All motor functions were gone. I could not even move my lips. With migraine aura you can still do all that. In any case, it was unsettling.

I had 3 migraines with aura this week, 2 days apart each, once in the hospital. Complete numb right side traveling from toes to tongue and then restoring. I'm a 45 year old man, never had severe migraines before and now my life may be changed. I'm willing to share my experiences with others

I just had 4 aura migraines in 3 weeks. Scared the hell out of me. 1st time ended in the ER. 4th time also in the ER. It's just yesterday to be diagnosed with Aura migraine. I'm afraid to go out alone and drive. Just started with my meds. Would it go away?
