2:15 I'm in the war trenches, dying, lost half of my hearing, ringing in my ear, but in the distance I can hear my fellow soldier calling me a moron and telling me to change my name.
I remember when DoD came out. I think it was like the first FPS to have voice chat if I'm not mistaken. I played RTCW for like 2 years before it came out so I kinda liked it at first. But I didn't get into it enough. My PC gaming days were already dying down by then. Not that I didn't like it anymore. It just cost too much to keep up with the gaming PCs and everything. I just went back to consoles.
@@_marlene I agree. I remember the mapping community in RTCW made some of the best maps ever. It was so awesome when a new map came out that everyone was playing on because it was like a new land to explore. Tunnels and everything. Good times.
First face reveal of husk for me. Dude sounded like he was watching paint dry and he looks like that too. Thought he was faking the cadence. Great to found out this is a very authentic quality
I loved playing DoD when I was in high school. Even if it was 20 years ago. Great times on that one. HLL all the way now. Great video Husk thanks for the entertainment.
I'm happy to be apart of the community that is still fond of older games. Another banger husk glad to be watching the evolution of the channel in real time
Hey Husk, you really should try playing Battlefield 1 (Conquest mode). The best of all the Battlefield games, and I heard it is available on STEAM now for $1.99, so there are plenty of new players. I am a BF1 veteran who had moved on to Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042, but 2042 was sooooo bad that I went back to BF1. I play for the PTFO clan (Play the F'in Objectives), so I always try to help players learn how to play the game better and how to actually win the round. Also, it would make a very interesting video for you in showing how in some games (Battlefield in particular), most of the players make NO attempt to play the game properly (in Battlefield Conquest you are supposed to capture the objectives), but just "game the system" and hide behind enemies for cheap kills in order to make themselves look great. LOL! Would make a very interesting video for you. A discussion of the problem of "CAMPER" players. lmao
Day of Defeat was the first online game that I played consistently with people I only knew through a game. Had a clan with a Ventrilo server, we'd have dedicated game nights & clan battles. It was awesome. My Dad would make jokes like "Have you made it to Berlin yet?!" since I played it so much.
I had a clan called Bazooka Squad, and we would play matches where we would operate our strats around the bazooka. When the one with the bazooka died, we had to pick up the bazooka and continue fighting until we all died. We didn't win any matches, but we got some nice bazooka kills.
Great stuff ! You should try playing old, actual "dead" games where there is basically one or two players left, it could be interesting to get their perspective on the game/their experience/virtual loneliness and all
That first dude going off about your username. Good lord. Some people really are so fragile. Hearing a grown man act like that is just sad. I bet he one of those dudes that just treats online games like its a place to come and talk crap and try to bully people.
Man those sounds just bring it all back. DOD was a good game for the time it was like what battlefield is today. That game and CS was my early years on PC and half life I still have my steam account from when half life came out and they made you link.
Day of Defeat 🤩 miss it, haven't played in a long time, great community and awesome public servers, I was on the 3tePGD clan and miss the immersive and funny times 👌💥
I started playing tfc when it came out. I was in my mid 30s. I will occasionally play but most aren't hackers but bots. It's nostalgic but not as much fun when there were live persons playing. (Now 61)
As an older guy i can tell you dont hold back and take nonshit from noone We grew up shittalking and roasting eachother for fun It is a test to see if you got balls Be smart and always have a Comeback Once you get through this We are like fam we still try bust your balls tho 😂
I played the old Day of defeat and played DoDs since it came out. Still play some hours every week because i know the guys on the server and its just fun.
Husky boi. You should check out Natural Selection 2. It was originally a half-life mod, which are what these classics are. It is like Starcraft mixed with Counter-strike. Great vid btw.
Wow dude. If you're not a huge dose of diazepam you're the most chill fuckin person I've ever come across online lol. Either way, all the power to ya! EDIT: You don't really go into your videos with a heavy script do you? ; -) EDIT: Now I remember seeing one of your videos a long time ago. You were playing a WW2 game (Hell Let Loose) with PRIVATE VOMIT lmfao!. Very entertaining. Cheers buddy.
i havent launched DOD source since february 2014 and CS source is not even synced so pre 2011 probably, thats the latest date i get from my bottom games it was my first game on steam and i got the 17 years badge so... played it between 2007 and 2011 i guess?
I love that slow calm old guy stoner voice you have. i saw some vids from you without ur face and i was sure its a long haired stoner guy that a bit older.. how wrong i was xD
I was playing DoD:S when it came and continued to play until 2019. I specifically played on the SAC server and would constantly get the top 10 every rotation. I was constantly bombarded with hacking accusations. The admin of the SAC server is a salty old man who doesn't like people who are better than him so much that when he joined the server, people would leave. Well, I was against him and kept killing him over and over again. Eventually, I got booted and tried to rejoin only to a prompt where I was IP banned. Tried to appeal on their website but was ignored by their incompetent clan. Those reviews are 100% accurate.
