I can relate to what you're saying about the sadness being alluring or comforting. I always described the original silent hill games as peacefully melancholic. there's something peaceful and calming about their atmosphere, even if it is sad or depressing.

Great video!! I played the original years ago when it first came out, the game was absolutely terrifying back then! Thankfully i had a trusted companion that would help me with emotional support, my little sister would watch me play and i was just happy i wasn’t playing this horror masterpiece by myself 😅

Just finished this game last night, and it was extremely enjoyable. the ambiance makes you feel uneasy and you are always wondering what could be just ahead. i haven't played the original since it released. so most of the game felt new to me. with the exception of a few key moments that i remember. i hope you enjoy!
