@@OneInAMillion31 I've lived in Tennessee my entire 47 years. Last summer I saw a butterfly. It was the first one I've seen in many years! They are very scarce now, not like the abundance when I was a child! 😢
This is amazing I released my butterfly and it wasn’t an hour later a male got her and was attached just like this video and flew off in the sunset together. How loon will does it take for her to lay eggs and die as with the male dying?
@@zachduperron8543 The only waste that butterflies expel is the blood that they don't use when pumping up their wings after emerging or when they expel excess water when they're puddling lol
@@lepidlover0557 I’m talking about meconium which is that excess blood plus other waste fluids from said puddling which you mentioned, even then you just pointed out that they do expel waste in which my previous comment mentioned thus making yours kinda pointless. Better luck correcting someone next time.
they have to be of the same species usually but what color they are doesnt matter and in fact will produce children of varied and interesting new colors
@@theflyingspaghettimonster4165 in some species, the males and females are colored differently. With tiger swallowtails, the males are ALWAYS yellow while the females can be yellow or they can be black.
So that’s what’s going on in our butterfly cage. Guess it’s time to release them. Instructions said to keep them a week after they emerge from the chrysalis
