Love love LOVE this episode... buttoning up all the little details that actually make the car complete. Most never make it to this stage, it's always "oh, a project car is never finished". Great job. Really enjoyable to not have music the whole episode too. Mighty car mods does music well, but I think Moog has a background in music.
My supras alarm also only blinks on one side too. I know what my issue is, although my alarm is after market. Either way my wires from the alarm module that control the lights blinking has a break in the wire. The wire on my alarm goes to the hazard switch. Two wires, one for each side set of blinkers (left and ) of the car. But my signals and hazard function normally otherwise. So I think you should start there at the hazard switch and wiring behind it. Hope this helps.
I’m glad to see you guys channel growing so much. Y’all really build some awesome cars and each have a lot of talent. Each build is super tidy, looks great, and always performs well. I love the performance with style approach y’all take!
I'm not even a Supra fan and am really enjoying this build process. The new panels under the engine were pretty cool as you could tell how much care went into design and fitment. After the depths of work and complexity it was a good testimony to your work that it was trouble free. That first run after any reassembly can be be full of unfortunate discoveries.
Good to see the Supra moving and ready for dyno! It's going to be even more awesome when we finally get to see it in the GT-R's rearview, it's a great angle for photos. ;)
Looking great guys, suggest you ditch the bonnet (hood) support and fit a couple of gas struts to finish it off looks like you have a droop issue…………..🤦♂️
Does only the driver side unlock when key is pressed? Older Chrysler's would flash the driver side marker when pressed once or both sides when the key was pressed twice and both sides unlocked.
Awesome to see the Supra on the road. Looking forward to the dyno session! Side note, any chance you guys would consider building an Audi B5 S4? They are pretty affordable still despite the rising car prices. Not to mention, you can get it in an avant which would be a great grocery getter. Either way, keep up the great work!
@@cloudvsephiroth215 I own one and it's not as bad as everyone say's it is. Like any other car, if you buy one that was beat up with stock K03 turbos you're already set up for disaster. If they want reliability and ease of maintenance, one option would be to film a single turbo conversion. Plenty of supporting information out there to perform the swap.
@Speed Academy, Hey guys not sure if you saw my last post when you were dealing with the "triangle of death" I'll try messaging you on Instagram too, though for the JDMs it's a master warning light. Check all your door latches and close the door like men-with purpose! LOL after that check the emergency brake lever sensor; before diving into diag. and another world of potential issues.
Hey guys I’m really interested about that little box under the seat of your supra with the key I would like to get one I was trying to look on eBay and I did not see any there anyway you can u point me the direction
New challenge for you guys. Pete and Dave. American vz euro (non audi) let's see it happen! Pick a type of car and make it a battle! (maybe v6 camaro vs some sort of turbo audi?)
Looking forward to see it on TMP, im really missing the track content, having youtube hosts that can actually drive properly was the reason i got drawn into the channel years ago :)
This Supra is beautiful! I've only had hands on experience with a MK3 Turbo that an uncle still owns but owning a MK4 is my goal. I first learned about these playing the first Gran turismo back in the day, and I fell in love with the car. I don't care about the fast and the furious because even though it was decent entertainment, I felt that it didn't do the MK4 any kind of justice. Thanks for this video because it's rejuvenated my chase for one of these!
There's no harm in driving a car on a base tune. Any reputable builder/tuner offering a base tune to drive on will be conservative with timing and fuel. Just watch the AFR on the laptop and tell Dave to use his right foot!
This is incorrect. How does the base tune know what injectors, fuel, fuel pressure, compression, cam timing, base timing etc are? A "base tune" is generally actually a "start point" tune which essentially has configuration for the sensors etc a given car will have, not intended for actually driving.
@@misterlith a proper base tune has all of those things. Just not an optimized fuel and spark table. A base tune without the shit you mentioned isn't a base tune.
