Before moving from Belgium to France my son and I started the restoration of the first of two 25cm (10") f:15 Classical Cassegrain by Gajdusek - Kozelsky.
More information about Gajdusek and Kozelsky can be found on my website: debeerst.nin...jdusek-kozelsky
This one of the 7 observatory scopes I rescued from the Czech Zdanice Observatory: debeerst.nin...ice observatory
The optics of the Classical Cassegrain were made in 1964 by Gajdusek and the mechanics by Kozelsky in 1967. It was used from 1972 until 1995
Meanwhile the scope was badly repainted in dark brown.
The scopes have again the original yellow colour. The mirrors received new coatings
Now the Cassegrain is assembled again and collimated. The collimation was very easy.
Normally a Cassegrain isn't so easy to collimate but the construction of the lens cell is so good that it's simple to collimate.
