They have the same problem too. Hopefully African governments will take coastal erosion more seriously. I think the Faye administration treats the environment more seriously.
It is terribly sad. In the 1920's, the U.S. mismanaged the Mississippi River's natural emptying into the Gulf of Mexico. We dredged, rerouted water, etc. We unknowingly destroyed a vital sedimentation relationship between the Gulf and the River. The state of Louisiana suffers most.
