Nobody asked for it (I think) but I'm bringing it back anyways! I get shown some clips and I guess the GSP of the player in question. As a professional Elite Smash player, I can smell a 10mil GSP player through my screen. It's at the top of my resume.

I legit oftentimes find better players (no to minimal lag, good rulesets, rematch and even homiestock you sometimes) around 10-11 mil and the WORST, laggy, camping, one-stock 2 minutes like players around 12.5-13+ mil.

True, I've played some of the best players at 10 million, and some ovlf the worst at almost 13+ million. It just doesn't matter at all

I almost never lose to 13.4 mill and below, 13.5 mill is my gsp and it goes maybe 60-70% wins, I lose 80% against 13.6 mill. I think it's just that lower level they are easier to combo(no defense) so they can get good combos. Mass isn't looking at their neutral the whole match. He just gets clips

For me it’s babies during the week and I absolutely annihilate everyone but the second it becomes Friday all of the people who know what they’re doing come out and I repeatedly get my ass handed to me all weekend.

How do you know for sure what max GSP is ? Doesn't max GSP depend on your character ? I swear at some point I faced a Hero that had 13.607 M and his GSP was at the maximum, but a couple games later I faced a Joker at 13.650 M who wasn't at the maximum

@@melikmourali2072 I went to a website called “EliteGSP” and I battled a min min that had 13,624,000 at the time but I didn’t lose any GSP after I lost to him. So when I went back to the website and input my opponent’s GSP, it said that his GSP was 99.85% higher than everyone else. It didn’t make any sense until I realized the website was 0.15% = 20k more than the max was at that time. So I know that the max GSP will increase over time but I always remember that it’s 20k less than what EliteGSP says.

i was the yellow dk, and the actual clip was at the end of my original submission which was somehow omitted. shoulda probably removed the rest of the match, but either way i thought the person going through it would watch the whole thing or ta least skip to the end.

This is the analytical Marss content we needed! Okay, not that we needed, but we do need more analytical content. Like... maybe you do a sub battle mini-coaching thing. 1. Play game with sub 2. Highlight 3 things for them (things to improve, bad habits, decision making, character specifics, etc) 3. Rematch and see how much they can change in one game. If you're going to roast our clips, you might as well elevate us to your standards. (Teacher Tuesdays would go hard)

Is there a difference in gsp necessary to be on elite smash depending on the region ? Because Marss said you can't be on elite smash at 12.4 M but my secondary character is in elite smash at exactly 12.4. And i reached elite smash at 12.3 I think. I don't know if Marss is juste wrong or if there's a difference depending on the region since i'm not in the US but in Europe

I have high GSP as Sephiroth, Sora and Hero. I wish I didn't because I either play people who I really had no chance at fighting since birth (I fought ESAM twice :/), or I fight people who lag switch and have clearly cheese and guacamoled their way to Elite Smash

idk i think if you are at the 13.6+ gsp most will know what they’re doing, to get that high is a lot of wins without losing too much. anything below that is up in the air and impossible to tell if you are a bot or you are really good

I think there is a point in reaching elite smash if you're a try hard type of person, because it sets you to a goal and proves the point that your try hard paid off. Once you reached it though, just go in public arenas or even private ones if you know where to find them. It's much less toxic and stressing. Rematch is a way more common practice, lag is still there but not as much. It's just better in every way.

GSP seems so general. My main is 10mil (peak) my lowest is 2mil and my average for most characters is 4-6mil. But definitely mashers and cheesers are all over the path to elite smash

Hey all, the Pit player here. Yeah I submitted three videos, but I neglected to crop the first two into clips so the editor probably didnt accept them. The third video, the one against the Marth, I had saved about 2 years ago for the snipes. So, what you're looking at is my crusty 0-2 at locals Pit, not the 2-2 at locals Pit sitting at 13.52 currently. I apologize for the misleading clip, I submitted the clips at 4am because I knew if I didn't do it immediately I wouldn't get around to it lol. The other two videos I submitted are on my channel if you're curious.

These should be exclusively Elite smash gameplay where people are actually playing to win. No labbing dumb Little Mac clips that only work on the lvl 3 Puff. No BS clips of you screwing around with your friends offline and then saying "Oh yeah, my Pit is 13.5".

Could be wrong but i believe GSP can be slightly different between regions, so a 13.4 EU may equate to a 12.9 NA etc

I actually find GSP to be a pretty good indicator for how likely you are to beat somebody (they play that character a lot online), but it's not at all a linear calculation. These are the GSP buckets from my perspective, where at your current skill level, it's hard to beat somebody 1 bucket up, and REALLY hard to beat somebody two buckets up. You'll notice the gap keeps getting bigger the worse you get, because of how much harder it is to grow the closer you get to the top. 5+ 7+ 8.5+ 10.1+ 12.4+ 13.0+ 13.3+ 13.42+ 13.49+ 13.53+ 13.575+ 13.6+ (I can't speak for this bucket, I can't really compete up here) This is from somebody who has characters between like 6 GSP (Sheik, Shulk) and 13.55 (Gunner). For the record, my 13.55 Gunner generally goes between 2-2 and 4-2 in tournaments nowadays.

Okay genuinely curious how you have extremely low gsp and also relatively okay gsp? Shiek is understandable since it’s a super combo character with an unforgiving neutral and adv state game. Shulk is literally just a sword character and you basically only need to fair, nair, and grab to get to elite

I remember getting the game and thinking that once I got to elite smash I would be god tier. Fast forward 10 months and once I played elite smash I played the most lame mfers. There are still people trying to hit you in disadvantage and players ledge trapping you at center stage. Worst players are those who corner camp you with projectiles and literally waste your time getting hit off stage and recovering from the the blast zone cuz this game gives everyone great recoveries.. Still got the Side B mashers from 2 mil GSP except these dudes in elite smash know how to piss you off in the most brutal way. Now I'm at top of elite smash and will not play it unless I'm actively trolling noobs. No point in using GSP to gauge your skill cuz at that point you are just good at beating players with mickey mouse strats moreso than having actual skill.

Elite smash means fucking nothing. I like to play a lot of different characters. Some are in elite and some are not. I honestly think I have more fun on average against like 10-12 mil gsp people. It's just a bunch of scrubs trying to clip each other. Instead of sweat lords camping for their precious gsp.
