The experiment of repopulating the Taimyr Peninsula with the musk ox, which began thirty years ago, has enriched Arctic biodiversity. Thirty oxen taken from Northern-America have by now formed a population of several thousand head, providing population material for other Arctic areas as well.
The film crew sets out to search for musk oxen in their new home at the northern tip of the Taimyr Peninsula in order to thoroughly get to know these bison-like animals. While following the trail of the musk ox along the northernmost latitudes of Eurasia, the crew also meets other inhabitants of these areas.
ALONE WITH WOLVES / Real Siberia / Adventure / Bushcraft in Siberia / The wildest place in Siberia • Survive Among the Wolv...
The Journey to Siberia / Bushcraft in Siberia • The Journey to Siberia...
Wanderers of the North / Real Siberia Reindeer migration in Eurasia • Wanderers of the North...

Americans have been indoctrinated to think all Russians are Soviet communists. I never met a single communist in Russia. 99 percent of the people I met were kind, gracious, warm, loving, friendly and openly welcoming. Their young children were invariably open and friendly with excellent manners. Only once at a family dinner did I witness two ten years old boys engage in a heated argument. When I inquired as to the reason for the argument I was informed by the one boy's mother they were arguing over who had a right to sit next to me. I settled the argument by asking the lady to my right to relinquish her seat so I could have a lad on either side. Instant peace and smiles.

Furthermore, it is infinitely priceless & invaluable to be able to appreciate this rare superlative & tantalizingly sublime documentary on RU-vid for free. What a breathtaking & fascinating this doc.about Musk Ox w/ humans in Siberia is! It is staggeringly mesmerizing, magnificent & majestic!! It simply shows us to witness & discern how different, intriguing, & even enigmatic our planet is depending on the different regions. Besides, it also discloses how clever & tough our living beings, humans & animals, are as well as how capable of those animals & humans are in terms of their adaptability living in such an extreme tundra that could dip into -70-72C??!! Finally, I'm totally in deference to those people who had partaken in this rare & singular doc.,i.e., the photographers, sound men including that effective background music, editors, & the producers inclusive of an effectual script writer & narrator. But my special highest kudos to those photographers who must have spent well over one year in the face of such adverse & sometimes dangerous conditions. Regardless, they all deserve a huge pat on the back. Greatly grateful & gratified to the fullest,,,,,From the warmer California even at the end of Nov.2022,,,,,(11/30/22)

This nature doc. seems to represent a quintessential instance of the principles of symbiosis, for the humans in the extreme region,Yakutia, entirely depends on the existence of those musk oxen & vice versa, i.e., they consume their meats for survival, & in return they care for their well-being. They are in essence interdependent one after the other. Moreover, it also shows us how adaptable some humans & the animal are being able to exist in such a seemingly inhabitable part of our planet.( Yakutia's medium temp. is -40c!!! & the coldest one was -70,!!! & so it is indeed the coldest place on earth next to the Antarctica.),,,,Finally I want to point out how informative & edifying this doc is. My highest gratitude to all concerned,,,,,(12/06/22)

@@thejack9178 You got the point, but I'm talking about the dour plight under the musk oxen have to survive in a place like Yakutia where the average temp. is -40 c. Under the circumstances, even those animal may be most likely to perish primarily due to the lack of food & infections or diseases. That is when the human intervention is absolutely indicated to salvage them from being totally eradicated. Thus, the principles of the human interdependence /or symbiosis comes in to play a pivotal role to thwart them from being extinct off the face of the earth. I wonder if the above would make sense to you?,,,Have a fabulous day wherever you are!!, Stay away & healthy amidst the dire plight precipitated by the virus still spreading on a rampage around the world or pandemic.,,,,,(12/12/22)

The preservation of habitats and endangered species is the kind of environmental efforts we can all support. The debate about "climate change" has diverted energy and resources from environmental harm we can easily correct. In my lifetime, I have seen polluted rivers made fresh again and reclaimed by game fish, bison and the panda bear return from the brink, and eagles avoid extinction. The oceans are contaminated with plastics, sewage, and industrial waste and modern cities still destroy wildlife habitats. We can and must do better. But we have made real progress. Long may it continue.
