This man walked into one October 1st concert in Ilorin many years ago and there was someone else that packed a lot of sticks following him…I feared God that day! Truly a legend!

Omo when i saw this video i was so happy i felt joy in the presence of God. my mind was like comment comment because i love anything drums when you see something good you will appreciate God in the life of that person and the person himself for me i always do that because i'm a drummer of the spirit, whatever tourches me i must react. Mr Ovie is all what Sunnie Snare said African's heaviest drummer i like that word. Mr Ovie is so wonderful, humble, and his grooves and chops are so heavy, he has much speed, he plays complex to the simplest drum fills which are so mermorable to enjoy and never forget just to name a few. Today marks my first time of knowing him but i can still tell you a lot about him just by observation. i like him so much thank so much Sunnie for letting us know the master piece behind your wonderful ministry with christ the saviour. What I love about this is that there were grooves and chops and musicality and not just 100mph around the kit. He held down a whole concert with just him and the singer humming//mouthing the tunes. I know every song he was playing. That tye tribbet everything will be alright is one of my all time favorites

Chai Ovie ooo. I can never forget that year. With Ovie, there must always be a spare drum vellum somewhere ooo. Especially for kick and snare. Cos na 1Day, 1 vellum. Some of the heaviest kicks and strokes I have heard from a drummer

Every drummer needs a mentor like this, someone organic. Especially coming from the days when drum lessons online wasn't so much documented. Makes you understand the spiritual side of being an instrumentalist.

Ovie daddy! I remember medley during yhe Kurt Carr concert at coza i was just like who be this guy. If this guy match kick for you, your chest fit burst...Dexterity, heavy and disciplined!

Una try o, after 12 yrs, u guys remember the syncopation. I remember some of then too. This Day dome was the place to be every Sunday that year. Chai!! Ovie with his kicks and grooves. Coza was known for it's music, and what drove the music was ovie's good to see u guys together. Ovie tormented us with those strokes. IAM proud to say he influenced my drumming.
