I had no idea you already have 3 sons, congrats dude! I am a father of a 2 years old, and being honest it's the best time of my life as well. Time for practicing is limited, but you have to make space for things you want in your life. Meaning that if you want to be good, you have to put the time to get there. Even if I have not joined the academy, your videos have done miracles on my double bass drumming, and I am grateful to you for that.

Absolute brutal honestly in this video. I love it! I am 33 and have always wanted to play the drums. My fiance bought me an E kit for Christmas this past year. I am having a blast learning and would love to get lessons, but I unfortunately have such a massively busy schedule and life. I have always found your videos helpful even before owning a kit. I would just sit at work at practice different motions with my legs and ankles pretending I was playing double bass hahaha!

You definitely have to practice to improve at anything let alone drums. Keep up the awesome work Marthyn! 🥁❤️

Crazy to me that people will pay money to join a drum course then just not practice thinking they gonna be the next Derek Roddy. Not even god can save those guys.

Yeah it's true. I'm a father of 4 kids, it's tough, but it's fun too. Beside my fulltime job and family i have enough time to practice drums almost everyday and do some videos. And when the kids are at the "right" age, you could show them the music and they want play the music with you👍 Best regards bro🤝🫡

I am inspired by and highly respect 🫡 ✌🏻your efforts to actually deliver progress to your students and that they are not just subscription numbers but more like real accountable apprentices. All this while life goes on. So many drum coaching channels cannot possibly deliver personal attention and therefore results due to high student numbers and content overwhelm. You’re effectively on your own with them. Don’t ask how I know. I love the way you roll! Keep on rollin’!
