The Return of Xehanort - Kingdom Hearts HD Dream Drop Distance Young Xehanort explain how the rules to time travel, the true goal of Organizatiton XIII, the thirteenth vessel.
I had to look back and remind myself how kinda insane it is that Xemnas was choke-holding the most iconic mouse in human history....I freakin love Kingdom Hearts for this ROFL
The complete batshit nonsense insanity of the series pretty much IS it's charm. Disney mashed together with a super insane over the top anime with a dash of Final Fantasy.
If you look closely. He's holding his torso, not his throat when Xemnas says "You!" I dunno if they made a manga of it but Ansem did chokelift Riku in CoM. They're stricked with throat grabs since it's using children's characters, Terranort clearly is choking Aqua but his wrist looks weird and trying not to show his hand on her throat.
Old Master Xehanort is the best. So much intelligent sass this man have. I also love his expressions and gestures. Big thanks to animators for this! Well crafted, brings extra character.
I always wondered if Leonard Nimoy read the script, then just stopped mid-read to go "What the hell does any of this mean?" just to continue the monologue
Marvel Cinematic Universe: "We spent years building up to something big over the course of several different titles." Kingdom Hearts: "Hold my beer, please."
Except Kingdom Hearts was NOT building up to KH3 since it's first game. It was only decided that it was when DDD was made and they pulled this putrid retcon.
Yep. He played everyone like a fiddle. He knew what he was doing behind the scenes. Nobody knew that it was him doing everything behind the scenes in all the other Kingdom Hearts until Yen Sid told Mickey about him appearing again at the end of Recoded when Ansem and Xemnas were defeated.
Young Xehanort basically referred to Sora as a weak link, made specific when he said 'they moved down the list when Riku developed a resistance to darkness'. Xehanort even called him a dull, ordinary boy, AND he didn't even become a master after the exam. Plus when Pete and Maleficent met Sora in KH3, Pete continued to talk down on him, and it resulted with Sora being silent for a few moments as if he took it deep. Makes you wonder if Sora heard Young Xehanort all along. I would definitely like it if Sora indeed feel that way, it would another layer to his character because he always seems so happy that his smiles are fake.
What I noticed about Master Xehanort is everything he said is not out of spite. He says what he sees and he is not afraid to admit if he makes any mistakes.
Totally, that's what makes him a remarkable villain, he learns from his mistakes and he fixes them by having backup plans, until Sora made him accept defeat.@@alimichalkan8046
@@LegoReader12345hello Yeah something that still bothers me at the end of KH3 he just fully accepts defeat and doesn't seem to retort after everything that has happened. Sure he could've had more of a backup plan but it was everything he had. All the 12 vessels he collected were defeated and of course Sora beat him fair and square. So with that being said he had to accept defeat no matter how desperate was especially after when he saw Eraqus he finally gives up. It still baffling but in a way I suppose it does make a bit of sense.
Okay. Xigbar didn't literally mean a time limit for being in the future. He means they ran out of time to make the thirteenth vessel. All twelve left to find a different way to fill out the ranks of the Organization.
Well they’re all in the Sleeping Worlds right now, which exists outside time, allowing all the members of the True Organization to cross over and exist in one place before officially meeting in KH3 which some of them needed Replica vessels to exist in the present They took advantage of Sora’s Mark of Mastery Exam taking place in the Sleeping Worlds, to try capture him and make him Master Xehanort’s 13th vessel But because Lea and the others interfered, they ran out of time as they all have to return to their respective timelines, as their crossover in the Sleeping Worlds was finished Which was why they needed Replicas in KH3 later With their chance to make Sora one of them failed, that was when they needed another way which they settled with Xion
@@christophersanchez7731 Can you explain me in which time they returned after they disappeared? Because in KH3 remind Saix said that Larxene,Marluxia and Luxord are in this era. But what era? Present?
@@lorenzodileva5255 the era they meant was that they were either brought to the ending of DDD sometime after they became nobodies again, or immediately after they regained their humanity. For ones like riku replica and vanitas that means they were pulled out of time just before their destruction, as that would be the point that they were at their most powerful. For terra-xehanort, sometime between his creation and before his loss to aqua, and Young Xehanort, would be before his meeting with the master of masters
@@lorenzodileva5255 The ones who come from the past were Ansem, Xemnas, Vanitas, Riku Replica, Young Xehanort and Xion. Terranort's case is left ambiguous, as some people say that Xehanort brought another past version of himself to the present, using Terra's hollow body as a vessel, while other say he just filled Terra's body with a fragment of his heart.
Idk if anyone else notices but usually the hood covers their eyes. So what the hell are they all looking at all the time 😭 pause at 14:28. But all the time it covers their eyes lol I find that odd
Master xehanort Ansem sod Xemnas Young xehanort Xigbar Saix Terranort Dark Riku Vanitas Luxord Larxene Marluxia They meant to make sora the 13th at this point. Then they added xion in III
@@animebrat76 he’s also a reserve member. I think demyx will play a role in future games. Marluxia, and larxene are from the past and luxord possibly has a connection to Yozora.
i came here to see if it was leonard's still voicing him in this game. at least he appeared in two games before his death. two bad he didn't live long enough to finish it
@Hyperactiv Gamer I mean Mickey didn't sound too surprised when Terra was revealed as a Seeker Mickey could have been thrown off because Xehanort said he has one of their lights In 3, Aqua is briefly overcome by darkness It wasn't a surprise for me and I didn't think it was one lol
@@arvontathurman9181 Master Xehanort, when time was frozen, took possession of his younger selfs body to hold of Riku and Mickey so he could by time for his body to appear. Funny enough, Sora did the same thing in Re:Mind, when he possessed his younger self.
@@michaelgillespie9112I am just wondering how do you people are able to notice any of this since you know, animations in games don’t tell much unless it is explained somewhere. It’s not like gestures in movies where we can actually see. I wouldn’t even know what those glowing eyes mean and Mickey’s “Are you?” doesn’t even add much to the context.
@@tyke2829 That’s truth. But technically; two of them aren’t Keyblade wielders, two of them were on the other side at the time, and two of them didn’t show up. Good observation though!
imagine using time magic on a timetraveler. lul mickey. also i never realized the xehanort literally says "terra became my vessel" so why are they still looking for him in kh3, not knowing what happened to him. xehanort literally told them!
@@bryanyap3888 I think is just the time it took for KH3 to come out made Nomura forget, because in the scene when Mickey counts his 3 friends, Xehanort corrects him and saids he still belongs to him.
@@masterprick1 no he means where the terra's body went afer being re completed. He and terra were at different worlds when they re completed cause they are different people.
Actually, the group already knows that Terra's one of the thirteen (Mickey even state MX's words about him in a cutscene). And if I remember correctly, they never tried to actively look for him during KH3 as their concern around the time mostly lies on rescuing Aqua (who is stuck in RoD). They only found Terra during the visit to Keyblade Graveyard.
Curiosity certainly motivates me, so I would be the heroes'enemy (but I would not necessarily be on Xehanort's side). There are two crossover fanfics between this saga and "OUAT" (I'm surprised there aren't like hundreds of them). Sora, Kairie and Riku's story was that Kairie was the princess of a kingdom in the Enchanted Forest that swore to protect the world of light, Sora was her Keyblade knight, and Riku was simply a knight. The Dark Curse separated the three of them and made Sora and Riku enemies, Kairie's fate kinda unknown. Why am I talking about this ? Ever since I read them and played "Nirvana Initiative", I have been thinking. What if the worlds'sagas is meant to suffer a complete reset ? For a new world to be born ? I guess, like Kirari and Yumeko from "Kagegurui", I want to see the universe come to its flashy end, to see its rebirth and what comes out of it. Actually...I don't think this is something recent. Ever since the first game, when Ansem talked about death, that I could only wonder how this universe's hidden side is ? What lies beyond lign and darkness ? What happens when the light separating them evaporates ? What is left ? Will the dead rise ? Will people be reborn ? The possibilities are endless. And all it takes is someone to perform the heart surgery without being manipulated by neither the power nor the characters.
Well yeah and he even blamed himself for not doing much to help them as much. Which is true he saw Aqua in the Relm of Darkness but he never got the chance to go back and help her.
@@SoraFan23 the fact that Mickey is willing to go straight to riku's rescue when he's in Quadratum and not for Aqua when she's in the dark realm says enough about him
When Donald, Goofy and Lea arrived to save Sora and them the 3 of them did brilliant heroic all the way they saved Sora, King Mickey and Riku right at the very last seconds before they were clobbered by Master Xehanort and Xemnas and there new organisation had them conred but at least Sora isn’t going to be a darkness but tragically they couldn’t save Terra but we will find a way to get him back for Ven and Master Aqua shake we mustn’t let the 2 great hero friends of ours down because there family to us just like Sora and that means Terra is too we will save you Terra we promise that all the way indeed!
So, you're telling me the guy with the evil grin, that delighted in every evil, malicious action he took at 10:02 is a misguided master that only wanted to bring balance to the darkness and light? Sorry Nomura, but I won't be buying into your retcons, no matter how much you try to use the "Xehanort Reports" as an excuse.
15:16 had Sora been in Smash earlier, Donald and Goofy could of bought a warp star from Kirby easily with all the Munny they got from their travels lol
Was the 'Real Organization' supposed to be entirely made up of Xehanorts from different points in time but Nomura changed that for KH3 by bringing back "Norted" versions of previous Organization members? Because why keep the mystery with them all hooded if they were really just old members?
What’s the mane of the song at 13:08? I can’t find it. It’s the same of when Young Xehanort speaks to Sora inside the videogame store in Toy Box in KH3
Isit me, or do I see similarities between Xehanort's explanation on the rules of time travel and Marvel's latest Doctor Strange movie about sleepwalking....
No. It was only natural. He almost died due to darkness, bringing him a certain understanding towards it. But like Riku, he still had to reach his full potential.
When Mickey used "Stopza" and froze time, Old man Xehanort just materialized at that exact moment. When he materialized, he realized what was going on instantly and possessed his younger self just as time froze. That's why he was able to move, Mickey said "Are you...?" because he somehow knew master Xehanort arrived and possessed Young Xehanort. He probably would have said "Are you...Master Xehanort?" hadn't everything happened so fast. This is what Nomura(creator and director of kh) said in an interview.
@@jinx1987 Master Xehanort actually have that kind of anger. Remember when he possessed Terra's body? He literally snapped at the Lingering Will and later Terra's heart for slowing him down.
I still to this day find it funny that people still try to misinterpret that scene to be what that was was trying to imply. In no way did that make what Xehanort did “okay.” It was just his hollow reasoning for doing what he did.
@@millionshadesofdarkness2165 Xehanort is a megalomaniacal. hypocritical sociopath who the writers want you feel pity for but ultimately falls flat, the MoM genuinely wants to save people and unfortunately *has* to resort to do the things he does because there is literally no other options and the enemy he's facing is damn near immortal and has broken the MoM to the extent that he turned out the way he did. So please stop deluding yourself.
Also...is it wrong of me to want Xehanort be this saga's Rumpletitskin ? When you least expect, is when he comes in ? He certainly has the potential. His adult self was reduced to nothing. That side was cast out by the young one. But... Nothings can be eternal too. Right ?
Do you think a 16 year old kid with less than 3 years of no proper training can kill a Master with 70 years of training and already have a god-mode skill? Just think of this logic and which one is more laughable?
