The old texture, colour saturation, the sounds, even the old terrian generation just brings me back to a simpler time in my life.

Microsoft made a mistake getting rid of 4J Studios One of my unusual favorite things about Legacy is the limited world size and not in the lame way Bedrock had that "old" world option. Everything was more compact and homely.

when i saw you crank up that gamma i got hit with a wave of emotion. i remember cranking that shit up and the white look of everything is what i grew up with. i love the 360 edition. when i go back and try to play it tho, it just feels empty and lonely. some may call it simple and i agree but ive gotten use to playing the new modern minecraft with all the new mobs, blocks and textures that going back just makes me feel underwhelmed. but those memories will never be forgoten...

I think my favorite part of these console ports is the performance Even in splitscreen the game just runs amazing No hiccups, no studder, just grab your friend and they can come over and play minecraft Might set up the 360 again for this

Everything on legacy, It feels like home. Ive binged watched old stampy videos playing legacy it was the best. Im so glad this version is becoming popular. We can be glad it had no new updates, it keeps it memorable. When it stopped at 1.13 im happy it can stay that way. (Or 1.12 for one and switch)

Fun fact: stampy had to port his minecraft world to the pc version of minecraft bedrock because it was too much for the xbox version

The PS3 edition I grew up on. 'Course being little I couldn't afford the full game, so I was just left with the demo. And I couldn't care less, it was amazing. Later down the line I invested in a PSVita, and installed Minecraft for it, which is essentially just a portable PS3/Xbox360 edition. I have played that version for hundreds of hours and built my own little lovely world. Then for nostalgia I finally bought the PS3 edition, rolled the version back, and enjoyed what Minecraft used to be. The legacy edition is the definitive edition for sure. EDIT: the music. Something about the way the music sounds in these versions. C418 is 50% of the game for me.

Fun fact: xbox 360 edition was the first legacy minecraft to release and its possible to play the the first *xbox 360* version of it (no hunger etc.) And ps4 edition is the newest in terms of minecraft versions (its on 1.14) other editions are on 1.13 or 1.12 (some editions might be on the earlier minecraft version but i dont know which ones).

4:55 This is reminding me of how light moved back in that age of Minecraft. How it felt like a sudden (yet subtle) chilly darkness had trickled its way across the world right in front of you and thus through you as well. It was abrupt and dreadful.

I grew up with legacy minecraft and i can say that ITS SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MINECRAFT Its not onlywell optimized but also so well done! I wish the studio behind the legacy edition continued developing minecraft as their own game!

Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition made my childhood and I have such fond memories of it. Though my 360 still works, it is plagued by overheating and lack of storage and thus, I haven’t played Minecraft on it in a while which is a shame. But, I have remedied the emptiness the game left in me by buying a copy of the Xbox One edition and playing it on my Series X. These legacy console editions were and still very much are, perfect.

Thank you. As a 25 year old man I've never felt anything truly nostalgic i feel until watching this made me remember all the times I had on Xbox 360 minecraft. It was my first game and all I had for 5 years without getting bored of it. Seeing the sheeps sheared with a punch, hearing the oof like sound instead of a hit marker sound, the fucked up shadows, and the gamma plus more just reminded me of simple times that I had almost forgotten and I sincerely thank you for helping remind me of those memory's

I grew up playing the very first version of Xbox 360 Minecraft and when I saw you playing it on pc, i had to download and try it since my xbox 360 worlds are corrupted. I could not believe it was that easy to play. I have not cried in a while, but seeing that old tutorial world broke me. SO many good memories. All the love ❤

I had the ps3 version for so long. That was my nostalgia. Hunger was already introduced when ps3 got access to minecraft. And even today (stuck in a 1.13 whit 1.8.9 combat), it's still give the good vibes of older textures being there. Netherrack being it's original thing and not a "red reskin" of the cobblestone. And the nether was really a place to not stay long. to then prepare your fight in the end and only one stronghol existed per world. And those 800x800 maps, we was building a lot more compactly in our worlds. Knowing we were really limited. Showing a 5 year + map whit a very dense main base. All of the classic moments we had in those versions. And also redstone that didn't suck (could do mostly any Java machines whiteout problems).

Brother, there is a build of Xenia Canary made with Minecraft in mind, and it not only runs godly, but it also has the option to get all the updates and "paid content" activated.

Yep. I have a memory of young me playing on the fallout 4 demo world and breaking into to diamond city with stampy’s skin. Memories like these make me happy and nostalgic

Absolutely love this. I never grew up with xbox besides at friends or cousin's places here or there, mostly played that time of PlayStation, and while PS3 edition came out a bit after 360, experiencing the title updates with them was just as exhilarating.

I grew up on Pocket Edition where the nights were genuinely terrifying and the cave sounds made you pee your pants. The atmosphere was completely different back then, nowadays I use the "Golden Days" resource pack to restore the old sounds and visuals, in combination with smooth lighting off and it's great. Though the Xbox 360 Edition introduced me to time-based music, like that one Nether track that would only ever play if I played at 8PM or later, and I loved that so much. Bedrock Edition is where Mojang took everything that made the legacy editions good, and proceeded to throw it all away. Now you can't even pause a single player game if you play offline; it's quite sad. They also ruined the legacy editions by adding Phantoms, but no way to disable them, so instead of Easy, Normal or Hard, it's either peaceful, unnecessary pacing or phantoms.

I wasn't quite 360 old, but I played on my ps3 which was different but similar enough to feel a lot of nostalgia from this video. I saw this java mod called Legacy4J, which turns the new Java back into legacy console edition but still keep the new stuff. That mod paired with like golden days texture pack is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who sees this, the mod is also controller compatible

When I bought minecraft xbox 360 edition it was on TU 10 (that was what shipped on the disc) and that tutorial world was something I'll always remember. Me and my brothers played on it so much and altered the world in creative to make it our own. I took the small underground stone brick structure and cleaned it up, making it into a sort of mini dwarven kingdom. One of my brothers took the main mansion and added so much stuff to it you could barely tell that it was the tutorial house. My oldest brother went to the northeastern corner and built a massive structure into the mountains. We later updated to TU 25 (the update with stained glass) and our edited tutorial world gained a few quirks. For example: the desert biome in the northeast had snow beginning to fall like it was a snowy plains biome. Not long after that my parents would get rid of comcast's internet and tv because it was just too expensive, effectively trapping us on that update. My brothers and I would sink so many hours into that old version. I still have all the old world files, including that TU 10 tutorial world. One other thing I remember was my superflat creative world. I built so much crap on that world. I love seeing legacy console content, I hope you do more.

I actually shed a tear watching this, I really loved the Xbox 360 Edition and it had the most perfect controls, it felt smooth, nice to play, and just was so fun playing on this version of old minecraft. Obviously I got Minecraft in 2014, so this Era was far gone, but the game was still so amazing to me as a kid, the Battle Modes, Multiplayer, this game was incredible. Sadly in 2020, my Disc broke. I don't know how, but the game is permentally lost to time. Plus, my account isn't active anymore, and a lot of friends have either removed me as their friend or got the ol' Last Online 9 Years Ago treatment. To whoever played with Luigimasterfan or a variation of that, that is me, originally my sisters, I took the account (cause sibling rivalry of course) and I had it until when it broke. 2 years ago i did the same except my xbox360 is still working and i was able to access my old save files. While i was looking through the world i constantly got goosebumps. Its realy sad that 1.7+ versions cant really bring back the true old magic. Good video btw.:D

man, i have so many good memories of xbox 360 and wii u edition, i remember when the end cities were added, when me and my brother would fight for the singular controller we had at the time, all the old worlds that i have sadly lost access to cause my old wii u is broken and my old xbox is lost somewhere but ive gotten a new wii u just to capture the old memories ive had and man, its is nice and chill just to kick back, relax and build a cosy home without worrying about real life issues

I started playing minecraft on the nintendo switch edition (right after switch came out) I can tell you it was just the best experience of my life. My favorite thing about legacy edition is how easy it is to build multiplayer servers, unlike bedrock or java which aren't built good for multiplayer. In fact, nintendo switch edition still has it's servers up today despite being discontinued and I sometimes play with friends.

12 years ago, i used to host my own SMP server for the PC. while i wasnt allowed to keep that server running 24/7 as i hosted it at home. during the evenings, we would then hop on the Xbox 360. sometimes i let the xbox running while i was standing AFK so people could join the world. good times :3

I love how Xbox 360 edition is getting so much attention now, I remember over quarantine I started a world on title update 1 and would update the game manually every week all the way up until the latest version, brought back a ton of memories.

I just got flashbacks to when I was a kid, I grew up initially with Legacy Minecraft and my younger brother and I would play almost every night until he got too possessive of the Xbox.

Even though i started playing when Bedrock dropped i dont feel nostalgic to but mostly to the versions i was watching earlier. I love these old versions And the Simple gameplay. Thanks for this video ❤

I grew up with the alpha or beta whatever it was pocket edition where you were only in creative, then moved on to xbox 360 edition so many memories with my online friends on Minecraft till they all ditched me for xbox one I eventually moved to xbox one then pc later but along the way I made amazing memories. which is why I love Minecraft. plus the music don't forget the music :D

Everything about this brings me back to when I was 8 years old, experiencing Minecraft for the first time. The music, the lack of a hunger bar, the crafting menu, the textures, THE STEVE HURT SOUNDS, it all takes me back! The world around me was so much simpler then as a child, now at the age of 20, I see myself wanting to go back to then more and more. Minecraft started to feel different as I grew up, like the game was growing up with me. I still stuck with it for years and years, but it just doesn't feel the same anymore with Bedrock. Part of the magic feels lost, I could never tell if it's because I grew up or because too much changed. Thank you for uploading this, I have to play the 360 version again soon, I need to relive it. It may not feel the same as it did when I was little, but the memories flooding in will make it worth it.

Yup... I played the heck out of this game back on the PS3. I played the demo nonstop when that came out. I also bought it shortly after, I think I played the demo constantly for about a week, and I asked and begged to get the game, so they eventually got it for me. I just loved it. I sucked at the game though, so I played creative. I also recall late into the games life span it got cool updates, it got mini games and even a battle royale type mode. I also remember the last update in 2017. The Aquatic Update, with a new and final tutorial level. I still remember the first tutorial stage though. Those tall stairs leading up, and in front of those stairs off floating in the distance was the Minecraft logo. I also didn't like that you had to complete the tutorial to get further up the stairs. I did do the tutorial proper a few times. But once I learned how to skip it. I always did that. Also in the giant minecraft logo, there was a Nether Portal. That was cool. So if you managed to get up there you could go to the Nether.

I will never forget the first time I played Minecraft for the Xbox 360 on its launch week, while I had known about Minecraft since mid beta, I only started playing on PC after release 1.0/1.1, so the legacy console edition was one of my only opportunities at the time to properly play what resembled a beta version of Minecraft. Playing it with friends was unforgettable, and one of my favorite legacy-console-specific quirks that I love is how often the music played, I feel like it played nearly constantly in the legacy console editions, which helped give it its own sense of immersion that no other version of the game quite had. Ofc the legacy console edition got updated all the way to update aquatic, but even as it got updated to be a more "modern" Minecraft, it kept that old charm it had, though undeniably the older TU's invigorate this feeling better ok minecraft ted talk over, amazing video!

I personally grew up with Minecraf wii U edition, lots of memories on it. Me and my brother and my sister would constantly play it all the time, just good times. :)

I grew up playing Xbox 360 edition too. I still play it from time to time because of nostalgia. It’s on an older update though, because I stopped playing before the final update. I had this bad habit of creating a world, playing for an hour then leaving and never playing the world again. It takes me 20-30s to scroll through the entire list of worlds I created lol

I remember playing Xbox version of Minecraft with my older brother, it was super obvious that we cheated at one point (we had a diamond and gold block house with a glass tube with a ladder in the middle going up to a golden blacken block platform with ender chests and oak chests with a nether portal) this version of Minecraft is my favourite and the one I miss.

I remember coming back to my 360 after 10 years and putting minecraft into it. I cried the moment the title screen appeared and when i checked my words i felt every moment i spent playing minecraft. Running home after school just to play this game. Getting lost for days in each world i made. I miss being able to put a disc in to my console and get lost in a game.

I never grew up playing this one version i grew up pretty new to the game starting in 1.14 when Mojang was cooking i recently got the yuzu emulator working just to feel what everyone else felt i wish i could actually have the legacy on the switch

I just found out about Xenia the other day, and the fact that you can pick which title update to play on makes it even better, I started with title update 13 on xbox 360 which is 1.2 equivalent and being able to type in my original favorite seed I would always play on and for it to work and load made me so happy :)

I've actually played with my cousin on the ps3 edition. And that version you just played we played it again with my cousin but on his pc and i remember when he built a house which was a cave in front of water but that cave for roof had dirt and it had sand for ground, well now i dont want to go way too nostalgic i have a million other stuff that i can say about it. But one thing that has to be said is that Minecraft mined our time...but crafted our memories ❤

i grew up playing the old minecraft pocket edition when it was in 0.9.0

I grew up playing both in the old pocket edition and cracked version of old java edition and watching this video it reminds me of Stampy's old gameplay when i watching as a kid

Despite growing up with playing Minecraft on the PC (Release 1.1) and not even playing the console versions until years after it released. It grew onto me when I finally did at a friend's place, and today it's the only way I still like to play it, I have a neat little survival world on the Wii U of all consoles. For me its appeal is kind of like living in a town compared to a city, and it has to do with infinite world generation as well. Okay its technically not infinite, but, as cool as exploring them can be, I feel like having a world that can be so vast just ends up hurting the cohesion you can have with it. Limited worlds are actually great, because you will end up recognising landmarks over time. Like how you kind of ending up knowing every neighbourhood in a small town. Everything you need is within reach, and it's not like you need that much space since the limit is 4 for local play anyway, if you're going to play with friends, what's the point of living far off from each other? Go build a big home for all to live in, or a hamlet. Another thing is that it not having updates anymore is kind of a blessing, this could my childhood bias but I'm not a fan of most "modern" Minecraft features (Modern being most things after 1.7 which was when I mostly quit playing on PC) legacy console doesn't really need that much to be a good time, because it feels a lot more personal. Not to mention the benefit of performance consistency. I've been mostly a PC & Nintendo gamer, anytime I play a game on console I just end up wanting to play it on PC instead. Minecraft, however, is an exception, and a rare one at that.

I grew up with this too, and ngl, Everytime I think about this, My nostalgic feeling went hard and especially when I think about some of the minecraft legacy edition's music backgrounds (that are not been added to the bedrock and java edition) after grewing up playing alot of minecraft on my Xbox 360.

Found minecraft through Seananners' playthrough back when it was in alpha, never saw anything like it before. Got it on my laptop and was hooked, showed it to my family who all wondered what I was playing and they all got hooked on it as well so we were pumped when the 360 edition was announced and that it was gonna have 4 player splitscreen. Great memories of sitting around the tv playing 4 players with my older sister and my nephews.

I visited 360 edition not long ago since I got my brother's 360S running again. I had played minecraft in its earlier days on pc when I was about 4 or so and seeing it in this state again was a major nostalgia trip.

Whether you played on 360, or PS3 or etc, these made childhoods. From the soundtrack, the tutorial worlds, and just the overall feel, this is definitely my no.1 version of Minecraft. TY notch.

About your broken 360, you should check what motherboard revision it is. Look at the sticker on the back of the console and see it's power draw. If it's rated at 9.86A - it has the Corona motherboard. If it's 10.83A then it's the Trinity revision. You should also check the error codes your console is throwing up. The first one should simply appear on screen after turning on the console, and the secondary error code can be obtained by performing a sequence using the eject and sync buttons: "While holding the sync button on the front of the console, press and release the disc eject button. The lights will begin flashing in a different pattern. The number of flashing lights in this new pattern determines the first digit of the secondary error code, ranging from 0-3, with all four lights flashing indicating a 0. Continue to hold the sync button, and press and release the eject button three more times to obtain the second, third, and fourth digits of the secondary error code in the same method. Pressing the eject button a fifth time should return the flashing lights to the original Red Ring of Death pattern. You have now obtained your 4-digit secondary error code." Also I found this on the Xbox360 subreddit, maybe it'll help to pinpoint your issue: "In terms of reliability, these are pretty much the same as the Trinities but have a new point of failure where there is a group of resistors that are there for the temperature sensor of the console and they can fail, which then triggers a false overheating issue. The console turns on and quickly ramps up the fan speed and a red light flashes. This can be fixed by removing those resistors and bridge the contacts where those resistors where. Do this only if you have experience with soldering!!!"

This reminds me of when my older brother gave us his Xbox 360 because he got a new Xbox and that's the first time I ever played minecraft before pocket edition it was fun and this brings back memories of a terrain with large caves and the pink sheep that spawned and me freaking out about it and how I named the sheep Gerald I think it was it was so long ago I can't remember as I watched the updates go by and seeing the tutorial world I miss those days

I recently decided to abuse PS4 glitches to get Minecraft 1.0 without having to jailbreak my console, and tbh it's a lot better than the new version. The look, feel, and sounds beat bedrock edition by miles.

me, my friends, my family, all played on that specific tutorial world. we went out found that distant lighthouse. built a castle and roads and houses and so much. but we did all of it on that specific tutorial world you showed. i gotta go play that world again

I grew up playing minecraft on the xbox 360 aswell, i use to play only the demo version though because we couldnt afford the full game and it was still awesome, i remember coming back from school as a kid and hopping on the game for hours and hours on end in the tutoriql world, discovering the castle and blowing up my first ever tnt, one day while i was coming home from school, my older brother(whom is now 20+ years old) told me they had bought a physical copy of the game, and man was i hyped. I spent night and day playing it, creating lots of worlds, and one huge city in a flat world in creative, along with my brother and stuff. Altough nowadays the xbox 360 doesnt work as well as it used to, im trying to find a way to fix it.❤💚

This reminds me, some of my mates are buying Xbox 360s and we’re gonna setup a system link lan party for Minecraft, halo 3, and gears of war. Can’t wait for it as I’ve had a 360 since 2012 but never been able to play with my friends.

I grew up playing the _WiiU_ edition, and still, it will always be the best experience I ever had playing this game. I loved it to death, but for life reasons, I had to sell that WiiU at some point, and after that, the game was never the same for me, nowadays I genuinely cannot play the game for more than a week before getting worried, while in the WiiU I played for months and months... I love Legacy edition

I used jailbreaking to get an old version of Minecraft Pocket Edition for iOS, and it had the same feeling to it. Something about old Minecraft is just... better.

I played the first Xbox 360 edition version back in the day and yearn for those days again. Recently I tried to revert java edition back to beta to get some of that but it just wasn't the same as that mix of old and modern tu 1 had. To whomever at 4j decided to start Xbox Minecraft at that simplistic old version, I thank you for giving me a chance to experience the simple life without owning a PC.
