"Look but don't touch. Touch but don't taste. Taste but don't swallow. While you're jumping from one foot to the other, 'god' is laughing his arse off!" Pacino was smashing it during court, ha!
@@danieltougher1557I love Van now. I didn’t like him at first but then I think he’s gotten a lot better at interrupting people. The dude has crazy ADD but he’s been on meds and has been better
The ending was for the devil to trick Keanu’s character, purposely getting him to look in one direction and then he doesn’t see the devil coming from another angle, but it’s still his favorite sin: vanity.
I had no idea Pacino was the devil when I started watching the movie, or that the devil/religious themes would be a direct part of the story. Maybe that's why I liked the movie so much relative to others apparently, I think the story just unfolded as intended for me.
Psychologists say it's a very common thing that you can get antsy when you're standing so close to the edge of a high roof or cliff --- you're not scared you'll fall, you're scared that you'll JUMP
34:10 -- Apparently Meryl Streep learned Polish and German for Sophie's Choice, so she could speak German with the proper accent. that's some crazy, crazy shit
I saw this in the theater..when Al Pacino hugged and was excited to see Don King at the fight got a huge laugh from the crowd! Like of course Don King is a personal friend of Satan..lol
How do we make every movie better apparently? Change main characters with black woman. And also the nameless black janitor with no lines , we should’ve delved into his back story a little deeper
The most accurate source for info the Devil is the Bible. Apocrypha ( 14 books ). Book of Enoch tells you where demons originated. In Enoch the name Azazel ( which is one of Satans names. He has many names ) is used in Denzel movie Fallen ( referencing The Devil as a fallen Angel ).
I think that the twist isn't as obvious as you made it seem, thinking that someone is literally Satan and that people who work for his firm are actual demons is not a jump that viewers or Reeves' character will take unless the movie explicitly tells them so. At least I didn't see it coming the first time watching and didn't think it was obvious in the re-watch either, I thought it was just a metaphor and those things weren't really happening.
I am shocked that our of all 3 of these guys.. especially Van..there was a book & a movie n the 1970's called the advocate based on true story of a lawyer regretting defending a child molester & he's from down south..this movie devil's advocate is based solely around that book..when this video ends on what would b a better title clearly shows none of these 3 guys are aware of this essential "fact"- AMAZING..these guys know nothing about which they r talking about .even the name Lomax is from that book
One thing i dont understand is the doesnt hold up thing when it comes to effects hold up to what the crap they make today over cgi green screen garbage is what dont hold up
HUGE fan of “Devils Advocate” but the only thing that would have made this movie any better would be if they had cast Mathew McConaughey instead of place of Keanu Reeves. I hate an actor that tried to do a southern accent. McConaughey would have given Pacino a run for his money
