In this video we are focusing on apparatus handlings for Ribbon. 🎀
Some of you might have noticed that i didn’t include the Non-fundamental “spirals around the stick on the floor” as i was very unsure about how this handling should look like, as this is an addition of the new CoP. To give you an idea, it's the tiny loops gymnasts normally perform on the floor to 'clean' their ribbon before starting the exercise/after ending it. Two examples are Yana Kudryavtseva 2015 during S and Katya Halkina 2016 right before the boomerang.
Quick (incomplete) reminder about Fundamental and Non-fundamental Apparatus Technical Groups🤓:
📌 may be performed during DB, DA and connecting elements between Difficulties and Dance Steps Combinations;
📌 Each exercise must have a minimum number of each Fundamental handling;
📌 Handlings of the same type are considered different when performed on different planes, directions, levels, with a different amplitude, on,through or over different body parts.
