It dose not matter from whence you came. I,m a lowly coal miners daughter from the north of england. My father taught me the difference between right and wrong, not a sin to be born in the dirt, whilst looking at the stars. Bobby and his comrades are saints among men. They were so terribly wronged. God bless you Bobby Sands your words bring me comfort in my days of passing. You sit with the Gods
@@raoulduke7553 Come down off your pedantic high horse bawbag! A simple spelling mistake doesn't make an ounce of difference to a statement of personal belief in a person and a cause. Your lack of knowledge of punctuation however....................
We are all brothers and sisters my friend. Some realise it and others fight it. But in the end we love. My father was an irish republican freedom fighter but on his death bed he only had love for all humanity. That day was profound and changed my views on everything. We are all just evoled apes and should treat each other accordingly
I was 17 when Bobby sands died I'll never forget the marches in Dublin . I have a son named after him and his comrade joe McDonnell .RIP you brave fenian men
I remember that morning very clearly ,in West Belfast ,when the bin lids started banging as news broke of him passing !!! What was to follow was terrifying!!! Many more lives taken by British forces who gleefully fired so many plastic bullets , they ran out of them in a few hours.
I was 5 and I remember the black flags on the lampposts. The country in mourning. My son is called after Séamus Kearney and Bobby Sands. Fair play to you John. ☘️🇮🇪
I am an ordinary working class British guy part Irish on my maternal grandmothers side. You will never beat people who are as dedicated as those men with bully boy tactics. The treatment they endured was inhuman and no matter what anybody thinks, you have to respect them for the price they paid, for what they believed in. Nobody should have to go through that,no matter who they are. R.I.P.
@@garymartin9921 You are welcome my friend. I have read many many books on the subject, as well as spending more time than I can remember, staying with friends in Belfast. I read The Blanket Men, by Richard O` Rawe and anyone who was not moved after reading it, has no Heart. Another good one was called Lethal Allies, by Anne Cadwallader, about Collusion. The levels that the people who are supposed to be upholding the law, will sink to, in order to achieve their own aims, is quite frankly beyond contempt. But Thank you sir for your kind words. It`s appreciated.
Very fine and true words for you, it is a great pity that gangster Margret Thatcher and her vicious government and army did not have men like you in their ranks to question their ways of thinking and to look at their own souls about the brutal wrongs that committed on people who better and truer then they were
I mind the Day Bobby sands passed away. We were not allowed home from school. My mother Rip came and lifted me. My father's took me to the Rosary everynight. People came to gather just below my house. In a village in South Derry A fire was lit in the barrel fed with wood to keep it lit and wee prayed for the Ten brave men. May God Rest all them men who gave there lives for Irish freedom. Bobby sands once quoted. VICTORY TO THE IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY UNBOWED AN UNBROKEN ONWARDS TO A IRISH REPUBLIC AND THE LIBERATION OF UR PEOPLE ✊🏼
It seems like only yesterday when we watched the news for an update and perhaps some agreement that would save their lives I thank You Bobby and your nine Brave Comrades who stood and fought for Ireland 🇮🇪...Thank You All from the bottom of my heart ❤
Heartbreaking, when we remember him, we also remember what we have lost, a poet, a revolutionary, and a hero of our nation. God bless you Bobby Sands 💚🇮🇪💚
Every tear that dropped for you, only watered a nation for its freedom, god bless you and your comrades ,for the ultimate sacrifice ,never to be forgotten
If I could be half that man that he was (bobby sands MP) then a would die happy, just listening to those words inspire me so much that he was prepared to give his life up for a cause that he believed so passionately for that he gave his own life. god bless you bobby sands M.P may you rest in peace and jesus christ shine light upon you amen.xox

May the tyrants suffer and scream every second knowing what they have done to the ten brave men, and many many others. Ireland unfree... SHALL NEVER BE AT PEACE. R.I.P Bobby Sands 🇮🇪☘
I wonder where we would be if these brave men hadn't given all for freedom? I no where we wouldn't be...stormont, Westminster, the heart of British imperialism

Heros never die , they might lose their life but they live in the hearts of many Bobby sand have become a symbol not just for the Irish but all over the board that struggle against oppression

May God bless you and your comrades your bravery is stronger than those who put you in jail and those screws who watched you and joked and laughed. God does not have a short memory.
Bobby sand might physically have gone but his spirit will lives on in all those that fight oppression. In the history of man there has been a few extraordinary men and women that have taught the rest never surrender to dictatorship. One Ireland under Irish flag.
The Rhythm Of Time Volunteer PIRA. ~ Bobby Sands ~ There's an inner thing in every man, Do you know this thing my friend? It has withstood the blows of a million years, And will do so to the end. It was born when time did not exist, And it grew up out of life, It cut down evil's strangling vines, Like a slashing searing knife. It lit fires when fires were not, And burnt the mind of man, Tempering leandened hearts to steel, From the time that time began. It wept by the waters of Babylon, And when all men were a loss, It screeched in writhing agony, And it hung bleeding from the Cross. It died in Rome by lion and sword, And in defiant cruel array, When the deathly word was 'Spartacus' Along with Appian Way. It marched with Wat the Tyler's poor, And frightened lord and king, And it was emblazoned in their deathly stare, As e'er a living thing. It smiled in holy innocence, Before conquistadors of old, So meek and tame and unaware, Of the deathly power of gold. It burst forth through pitiful Paris streets, And stormed the old Bastille, And marched upon the serpent's head, And crushed it 'neath its heel. It died in blood on Buffalo Plains, And starved by moons of rain, Its heart was buried in Wounded Knee, But it will come to rise again. It screamed aloud by Kerry lakes, As it was knelt upon the ground, And it died in great defiance, As they coldly shot it down. It is found in every light of hope, It knows no bounds nor space It has risen in red and black and white, It is there in every race. It lies in the hearts of heroes dead, It screams in tyrants' eyes, It has reached the peaks of mountains high, It comes searing 'cross the skies. It lights the dark of this prison cell, It thunders forth its might, It is 'the undauntable thought', my friend, That thought that says 'I'm right! ' Robert Gerard Sands, " BOBBY SANDS, " was twenty seven years old when he died on the sixty sixth day of hunger-strike in the H-Block prison hospital, Long Kesh, on the 5th May 1981. The young PIRA Volunteer who had spent almost the last nine years of his short life in prison as a result of his Irish republican activities was, by the time of his death, world-famous having been elected to the British parliament and having withstood pressures, political and moral (including an emissary from Pope John Paul II) , for him to abandon his fast which was aimed at countering a criminalisation policy by the British government. His name became a household word in Ireland, and his sacrifice (as did that of those who followed him) overturned British propaganda on Ireland and had a real effect in advancing the cause of Irish freedom." If Bobby didn't read his own poem then who did?I am a u.s. citizen but have never have forgotten where my true roots lie in Ireland. I was 21 when Bobby died and I have never forgotten my H block brothers or a part my soul that parted from me on May 5,1981.i just need to hear Bobby's voice if possible I will always love you. Jeanne❣❣
My " H block brothers " Fuck off you wannabe Yank. Have you ever took the time to Visit Belfast? Have you ever took the time to visit Northern Ireland at all? All these fake Irishmen in the USA. They make me puke. Boston is a Fucking long way from The Falls Rd or South Armagh believe me.
How brave must someone be to give their life like this for a just cause. Sadly, it looks like their sacrifice was in vain. When you look now at the chancers that are in government in the Republic of Ireland and the unholy alliance that is in power in Northern Ireland, you would wonder if this small little country could ever be governed by decent, honourable politicians who have the good of their country and its citizens at heart. I'm a proud Irishman who was born in Northern Ireland, but I could never live under British laws. I left Northern Ireland when I was 17 and I would never live there again. My siblings do, but something inside me would never allow me to be dictated to by a foreign power. Most Northern Ireland nationalists just get on with their day to day lives, but I could never have done that. Gerry Farry.
This poem was written by Bobby Sands, but this is not him reading it. This is from the "Live from the Blocks" album recorded by IRA prisoners in the H-Blocks some years after the Hunger Strike.
who said bobby was reading it? There bobby sands words nobody else's that's all that matters and the ultimate sacrifice he gave to Eire for it's freedom . when you buy a book and read it Do you say I didn't write this book but I'm reading it dafty. Éire do na hÉireannaigh tál 🇮🇪⚓
Its a tragedy that out brightest stars must die to gain freedom for our people. Bobby Sans,Padraig Pearce, Billy Reid, Ernesto Guevara . the list could go on all day.our star humans have their life for us
The best of humanity gave their life for us, and yet narcissist are still walking around running countries and looking for a feckin mirror to admire their .leather skin in
DESCANSA EN PAZ HIJO DE LA VERDE ERIN QUE LA SAGRADA TIERRA DE LOS CELTAS ACOJA TU CUERPO Y QUE LOS HIJOS DE IRLANDA NO OLVIDEN NUNCA TU LUCHA Y TU SACRIFICIO Y EL DE TODOS TUS CAMARADAS VOLUNTARIOS QUE SACRIFICARON SUS VIDAS POR UNA IRLANDA LIBRE Y UNIDA !!GLORY AND HONOUR FOR ALLS IRISH VOLUNTEERS!!
There was a split in the movement in the early 70s and the PIRA / Provisional Sinn Fein (which is the Sinn Fein of today) schism-ed off in one direction while the Official IRA and Sinn Fein ended up becoming the Workers Party, dropping the Sinn Fein brand entirely. The officials suffered another split mid way through the 70s and a faction left and became the INLA / IRSP.
@@kohhna this was also a political move as the Marxist inla tried to distance themselves from sectarian agenda.there are many men of no religion in inla who took on the starry plough a trade Union flag from the ICA who fought the 16uprising
@@andrewdent4507 It literally isn't him though. Its nice that this has been uploaded and I'm sure its just a small mistake in the part of the person who runs the channel but its not Bobby.
