''The tic tac incident'' turned out to be prophetic, as the government did deal with a tic tac incident recently concerning a UFO that looked like a tic tac.
Karl: "In the last 30 odd years, I've been working hard and letting my body get run down a bit." Ricky: "Wait a minute, what age are you?" Karl: "33" Ricky: "You started working at 3?" Hahahaha
I missed out on all of this, The Office, this, An Idiot Abroad which you can't even watch anywhere, this is all new to me and I'm watching along with you dudes. Congrats I haven't stopped watching your channel since I started so many years ago.
I'm the same as you, I'd heard of Ricky Gervais, (through his stand up), but never saw anything he produced. These animated versions of his podcasts are just spot on.
Ahh the great Tic Tac ancdote.. "it's tinging its way up the tube. Its tinging its way up the tube, ting tong bing bong, it's tinging its way up the tube!!"
Genuinely lads thanks so much for doing this. Just had some really bad news major defect in a product my business sells which will cost us a lot. Was stressing so badly anc within 5 minutes of watching this I’m better. Public service you’re doing.
I remember the house we lived in when I was a year old (we moved before I turned 2), and I remember the neighbor's house, too. We have no pictures of the neighbor's house at all, but I could describe it to my parents when I got older and they were impressed. They'd forgotten about those people because they hadn't seen them in years, until I reminded them.
Karl is fabulous so funny ...still using his eyes when they were shut ..rickys laughter ..brilliant .. an so is yours thanku so much love you loads God bless x
I can remember back to when I was just 3. Definitely. Between the ages of 3 and 4 we lived in Townsville Queensland Australia (1975-1976), a hot tropical climate which was in stark contrast to Sydney Australia, where I was born and currently live. I vividly remember Townsville and I can even still smell the sugar cane fields when they were burning (not sure where in Queensland I saw and smell that, but it was pretty memorable). I wonder if some people have the perception that they cannot remember that far back because they lived in the same place growing up and so without significant differences in their lives and surroundings, their memories are just all blurred together or otherwise memorable moments are hard to pin down to an age.
Karl makes sense if you can decode his slighty soupy way of describing things. The Leg Rubber was asking if his thoughts race uncontrollably, impairing his behavior, or whether he can cultivate inner calm, improving his behavior. The duality Karl often speaks about, which Ricky mercilessly rips, is actually ancient Buddhist philosophy. Karl is like one chromosome away from being a Zen master. I'm also convinced Karl has the inattentive type of ADHD.
I'm so happy you got to this one.. This episode was one of few that I actually hurt myself laughing. Karl is a genius.. But in the most idiotic sense. Like if he had any amount of self awareness.. He could be the preeminent philosopher of our time.
I can remember being small, holding the bars on my bed and watching my brother and sister walk past. Since I was still in a bed with bars on I must have been 2 or so.
I can remember from 6 weeks old. Also, since I started school at 5 years old can remember lots from then. Remember pre-school and plenty before school started. Shame my memory is rubbish now. 😂
In acting that's common to focus on a single part of the body like the toe if you need to fall asleep or become drowsy or just slow your heart rate down. It's taught in acting classes. I've heard of Buddhists & a lot of physical therapists (leg rubbers) mentioning it as well. It's not crazy 😂 it works if you give it a try lol
I have some blurry, foggy, not so detailed memory of going to kindergarten for the first time around 5. They were playing the old kid's show 'the Letter People' on a TV in the classroom.
Rondo is right about the dreams. I was probably five and I had a dream that I was in our garage and the man door had a window with a curtain over it and I walked up and pulled it to the side. There was a Tyrannosaurus with its eyeball looking in at me. I remember falling down backwards in a state of panic and trying to run but I couldn’t get away. I have vague memories of five yrs old but that one is vivid to this day. Go figure. Dreams are a fucking trip dude👍

I am 57 and I remember key events from when I was about 3. I remember my mom being pregnant, where we lived and what the apartment looked like :). One traumatic thing I never forgot was getting a metal crocheting hook caught in the roof of my mouth.
I have one particular memory from when I was under a year old. My mother and grandma were shocked by what I described. I was a baby being held by my mum, grandma sat opposite, on a train to the beach. I described certain surroundings and clothing etc, things that matched perfectly. I have many memories from years 1 and 2 of my life.
Same. I remember the house we lived in when I was a year old and our neighbor's house; we moved before I turned 2. I think more people have memories from that age than they realize, but they don't have a way to peg the memory to a certain time in their life. Like my aunt took my brothers and me to the zoo when I was 2, and I didn't go to another zoo until I was in my 30's, but I remember that trip, the park she took us to the next day, and her apartment. She moved from that apartment the next year and never bothered to take pictures of it because it was just a place she lived for a year, but I remember it. I have several distinct memories that have to come from certain times in my life, but most people don't so they don't realize how old the memory is.
@@xzonia1 And here was me thinking I was special haha Its all interesting stuff. I'm presuming it must be how our brain kicks in and develops. No expert of course. But to have memories verified by family is pretty cool and crazy.
16:30(ish), Apparently the human brains Memory only lasts a few minutes (or maybe even seconds), anything after that you’re just remembering that last time you remembered it! 😅
I have a memory when I was about 9 months which freaked me out I could remember that far back. Think it's strange people can't remember to when they were 4, like going to nursery?
Carl is actually talking about a real sleep condition called sleep paralysis I know exactly what he is talking about because I have had it since I was a kid, it's sort of a neurological thing when your sleeping often your mind can wake up before your body is out of sleep, so you are lying there and you can see, hear things ,but you cant move and it's like having being temporarily paralysis ,and a lot of the other weird sleep things are a real thing but I think Carl maybe one of the many people who have these things and don't know it , I have to say though I haven't never seen a professional leg rubber for it though that just sounds weird, whatever works for a person 😂💯, I went to a hospital and saw a doctor all my life, now years later, (wish I'd tried the leg rubber🤔🤣) Nice reaction guys as usual 💯🙏😎
My family moved to another town when I was 5, and I have lots of memories from the first place I lived. I have no way to tell how old I was for each memory, but I know I was younger than 5. I know I can go back to, at least 3. I'm 42 now.
never miss y’all my eyes r always low for yalls ricky reactions u should definitely watch Roy Woods Jr Golden Corral it’s his episode of the This Is Not Happening storytime show created by Ari Shaffir
