watching this breaks my heart cause i never knew angelo felt like he had to like starve himself, i never knew he saw himself as the “fat one” like…..no. i’m so so happy he’s happier and they’re still friends. angelo deserves the world
I have never gotten my laptop out faster then I did when the notification showed up on my phone. My sister looked at me and said "What is wrong with you? You have never gotten your computer out so fast." I looked at her and said "Sis, it's a podcast just chill an' get back on your phone." Lol. So happy to watch the podcast. Listin' from Texas
Just watched this. Very natural flow. (Just two friends talking) The emotion here was immense, with so much history here. But Ricky did such a great job guiding the conversation and keeping it even that it didn't get to any extreme. It never got too awkward or uncomfortable. This was an interesting listen. Well done!
I never realized just how nice he is...its amazing the difference in what u 'think' someone is like because of the music their into, and what their really like one on one, i know its just an interview and he has many parts of his personality we dont see but for the most part i think he is just like a really kind soul.
Oh my God did oh my miw I love u Ricky and Angelo Ricky hope u remember me from warped tour and like my letter that I give you at the signing in warped tour
Crazy. Angelo and I had the same experience. We did a little thing after getting married because of stuff going on. So the next October (being we had a Halloween themed wedding) we both flew for the first time and went to universal studios Halloween horror nights. Best honeymoon ever and vacation I ever had. What else is fascinating is that Angelo has balls. Most people go through the grind to make it big. Angelo as soon as making it big stepped away. Imo the drums are not nearly as great since he left. I know personally of how hard they worked to get a gig, let alone make a record or get signed. In high school they played their balls off and I always had a feeling they were special and would “make it”. Fun podcast.
Ooooh, I am from Australia. Love the beautiful place, kind of sad all my favourite bands do no tour down here as much as i would like. But my love for the music and the people are so immense i don't mind as much.
Angelo's drumming was FANTASTIC. I had no idea he was on the brink with it and struggling with these other things. Always wondered why he left, but I'm super happy for him now. His tattoos are AMAZING.
This was so cool to listen to and learn from angelo about tattoo things! Regarding the states that don't require licences..Wyoming is one of them lol they don't require a licence but you have to pass health if you work in a shop but it's legal to tattoo out of your house in Wyoming (I planned to apprentice but I was scared because I didn't know who was licenced and who wasn't) so warning for those in that state lol!
Thank you for being awesome and great and wonderful guitar player and I love your book and it very dark and greedy and please write more book and I can’t wait for the next podcast episode ❤️❤️
Ricky thx for this! I'm hoping to book an appointment for my first tattoo and I love Angelo's work I want to make sure I respect Angelo during the appointment and him talking about his job helped me understand what to expect!
Would love to hear a podcast with your FOH guy or just a general discussion with other musicians and sound engineers in regards to the nitty gritty of what it’s like to play live(how much crowd feedback can you hear? If anything?) what in-ear monitors you choose, how do you keep your eardrums intact, etc...?
Art is therapy, so nice to see friendships last no matter what life does. Is is possible to tattoo a scar? I've got a thick lateral scar from mid chest to public bone that I'm sick of looking at. Thanks x
I'm at last year of Graphic design high school in Italy, and I realized that I like drawing by hand but it's all computer stuff and lol I wasted 4 years of my life 🥳🥳 Fortunately, I'm also doing ballet programme for becoming teacher, which makes me feel a little better with life bc I won't be jobless (I hope) ahah 👾
My best friend has given me a couple stick and poke tattoos in her room, and she’s really sanitary about it, since she wants to become a tattoo artist. She’s given me a coffin just above my right ankle and a semicolon just below, almost on my right ankle bone(it hurt like hell) and I’ve done one on myself. I did a peace sign on my left ankle about a month and a half ago. They’re all barely noticeable and have scarred up a bit, but it’s just a slightly skin tone where the tattoos were, so it’s nothing to worry about.
In Portsmouth UK it cost me £140just to get a basic blood tests for my cat for a urine infection check. Tbh if I was a tattoo artist every client would have a blood check beforehand, prevention is always better than cure. I think covid has educated many about hygiene but so many I sedobt wash hands after toilet or before eating which is terrifying. Common sense should be educated in schools as parents don't always do their job sadly.
