The developers are working on multiplayer for over a year already. They completely rewrite the backend of the engine to make it work. It is a huge endeavour because the original engine was nor made with multiplayer in mind. However the devs dedicate a significant amount of workforce to make multiplayer possible :)
I love this game, just tons of fun with a lot of mechanics that fit the narrative of the game very well. It does a good job of slowly introducing all of these mechanics and than letting you run around at your own pace.
As someone with 150 hours in the game already (before this DLC), I highly recommend it :) Co-op has been in the works for a long time, but the game wasn't originally designed for it, so as you mentioned, a lot of optimization has had to happen to even get close to being able to do co-op, but they've had working co-op session in-house recently, so there's hope on the horizon :D
You can boost the research by building another laboratory buildings, more you have more you speed up the research. This game is amazing that there is not only one way to play
I had triple digit hours in it. Was easy to just get lost tinkering with the base. I had to heavy mod it, thankfully build in mods. Damage scales badly building scales badly without increased storage or infinite capacity mines. Once I fixed those two and the energy generation per sec totals, I loved it.
My English is not too good, so I would like to clarify: am I correct in understanding that DLCs contain only story missions, and all content in the game can be obtained without buying them?
From the Stem page in the DLC "-Experience an exciting new branch of the Story Campaign taking place in the Fungal Swamp biome. Investigate the massive Great Mushroom Tree - a 100-meter-tall fruit body of a massive fungus that looms over the entire biome. Expand your Campaign Mode technology tree by researching unique technologies that can only be acquired in this biome. Collect information on new creatures, vegetation, and other curiosities found only in this environment. Bring the Great Mushroom Tree back to its former glory by helping it get rid of the parasites that seem to be swarming it. Adapt your base-building methods to make the most out of the limited building space in the flooded Swamp. Face fearsome enemies that will test your skills in all kinds of combat. The Story portion of this Expansion is integrated with the Main Campaign from the base edition of The Riftbreaker. The new branch and the contents of the expansion will unlock as you progress through the game. If you have previously completed The Riftbreaker Story Campaign, you can continue your adventure where you left off. The additional part of the Story will unlock immediately, allowing you to explore the new part of the world."
@@LTGamingRU-vid Thank you, love this game, State-Of-The-Art it is, slashing, with two swords with constant charges forward while walking backwards, thousands of beautiful monsters, do not need more, plan to play it for years ahead. Cheers.
VERY fun game but its execution is a MESS. INVENTORY: Let's start simple. The inventory system needs a filter option where it won't show me anything less than X "superior", "extreme" etc or simply press a button and destroy commons for materials. MODS: need to be handheld explained. Like does the mod that increases the amount of projectiles work on everything ....even things that have ONE single shot like the HCM? Or is putting it there a wasted slot. Since the extreme mod only gives you roughly a 30% increase in projectiles, how does this actually affect the HCM's single one shot? TECH TREE is f*cked: I finished the game in the logical way and yet still had 1/3 of the Alien tech tree locked off / couldn't access. The quests need to be DIRECTLY spelled out...GO HERE, DO THIS instead of half ass figuring things out. Also the explanation of HOW to use technology is practically non existent. There are so many quest bugs and not being able to even see 1/3 of what the quest tree is, is simply unacceptable. This is a huge fail on the devs. HOW TO MAKE SH!T IN THIS GAME: They introduce ideas but don't show you HEY CONNECT THIS TO THIS TO MAKE SPECIFICALLY THIS and you get this benefit. I was in the 2nd to last mission before I realized for myself the importance of using the bioscanner and creating a bio farm using cultivators to create resources. REPLAY: Why isn't there a mode to replay missions, yet keep your current tech tree? The endless hoard survival mode seems to start you off with a very limited tech tree. OTHER PEOPLE FOUND THE GAME TOO FRUSTRATING AND JUST BAILED: I introduced 2 others during the steam sale for this to the game and they simply gave up in frustration at the lack of knowing how to do things as there are other games that explain things better and have a CLEAR route to progression.
@@LTGamingRU-vid lol... "my YT" is something I did when I was a kid (for fun). 😉 but yeah... it came off as a scripted advertisement. Was it? Were you paid by the PR department to read a pre-approved script? I wonder... 🤔 - Fun game *btw, but it definitely has some Jank... rebinding inputs for controller is buggy, but overall "good/ fun game for the price." 👍
@@LTGamingRU-vid 🤣👍😅 have a good one. - Only another RU-vidr can appreciate how much time and effort you've put into all the videos you've made. 😉 I figured out years ago; I'd rather "play" the games, then try to make videos about them. 😀
I like this game but find the main chick u play as just so fucking annoying and lame like she acts like a climate activast in 2024 not some elita captain from tgw future...millennial writing unfortunately. But gameplay is sick
I bought the game but then I realized they Cut parts of it out to release as DLC later. We got a couple DLC's real quik. Its a money grab for the publisher. The DLC was "UNDERGROUND" wow!! Haven't played the game since the money grab and I dont recommend you buy this, or you will have to buy three billion DLC's.
You just made this story up. Indie dev who is very engaged and attentive to their audience, played the base game and DLCs and fun to be had with or without. - Tom EDIT: the conversation degenerated from here into rambling accusations and more lies about these game Devs before getting deleted, total clown 🤡
