Totally agreed with you. To increase mileage and intensity during a marathon prep block are very tough on your body. I often wonder how to handle this aspect during my marathon prep. You are rhe 1st person i know who spoke abt this. I also see during your kids 5k training block, you did not drastically reduce the mileage but rather use the long run as recovery sessions. I've learnt a lot from you. Well done.

Thank you for sharing! This is different from what I’ve always seen in training plans but what you said makes a lot of sense!! Now I think about it, We were always told not to increase both intensity and mileage at the same time but reaching peak weeks had me do both 😂
