It's work different because Finak Cut using curves in luminance blending mode it doesn't have the RGB mode curve . If you open a curves in photoshop and setup it in luminance mode it will affect the same way as Final Cut .

Final cut in general is bad in coloring (( i mean very Bad )) Not only in Exposure part but you will find out how bad it is when you try to do any adjustment on Luma it doesn't matter if its 8bit or 10bit it's start to bending badly even with little micro adjustment , as i tried the most other application for final cut like color finale or lightroom slider or Cinema Grade all doing the same problem when it comes to Luma, and all youtubers talking about how good is color finale, and it's crap it doesn't even has orang adjustment on Six vectors which is so awful since the orange is the most important color for skin tone .. i loved Davinci Resolve but i hated so bad the Fusion. wow i'm so disappointed on apple with all the tech they has they can't take care of the most important software they ever made
