The Ringling Circus Museum Sarasota, FL Tour 

Thanks for taking us along! I dont know which contributed more to the decline of the Circus as a Spectacle: zoos, the Internet, ubiquity of travel, or animal welfare organizations but it's something I really miss. It was all about bringing wonders from various parts of the world unfamiliar to most of the US letting people enjoy the differences for a few hours. Different people, customs, animals, all up close and personal. Its not much removed from highly themed amusement locations, but it came to you vs you traveling to it.

Been there twice. The museum is awesome but the whole place is great. You can easily spend the whole day there

I can only imagine the spectacle of the Circus arriving in a big city like NYC, especially in the heyday of it. I mean even here in Jacksonville, the train would pull up about a mile or so away from the Veterans Arena and the Parade to the VA would have huge crowds just for that. In fact this is typically about the time of year it would come through town. Thanks for sharing this with us all.

Very cool stuff! Love the connection between the circus and Florida - I still have a button of me in clown makeup that I got at Circus World (RIP) probably 40+ years ago.

OK this museum is awesome it’s reminds me very much of water for elephant the book and also I have been to the circus when I was younger I actually got to meet an bays elephant no they’re not cute and cuddly very rough but still cute

Unrelated to the video: any plans to head to Tampa for some pre-game festivities? Are they even having a traditional Super Bowl Experience-type event this year, given the circumstances?
