Fantastic! Editing, still animation, typography, research. And most of all the subject matter. Honest and compelling, while exposing what is all-too-relevant content for America right now. This is one of the best American Experience Films I’ve seen in a long time!
I have just watched this sad report. My East TN PBS affiliate chose to air American Experience at 3:00 a.m. EDT. I hope PBS will make reruns of it frequent and provide a full free RU-vid of it to reach more people. The militarization of the police that started in 1965 is even more dangerous today, as witnessed with the "riot police" storming peaceful, unarmed protesters on university campuses.
Thanks for watching! THE RIOT REPORT will be free to stream on our website and the PBS app through June 21st! www.pbs.org/video/the-riot-report-cuh1ik/
Can't read, huh? They say right in the description, it's a frickin' preview, the episode hasn't even aired yet. Jesus Christ, is everyone this much of a moron these days? It's because it's a big conspiracy, Boatright, they just want to show you one chapter and nothing else. 🤣
Interestingly, there were white-on-Black riots at this time, but even them people just tried to deliberately forget about them. There were also riots in Mexican American and Puerto Rican communities as well.
This is an extended preview of THE RIOT REPORT -- the full film is currently available to watch online and in the PBS App with Passport! www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/films/riot-report
Spoilers from the trailer and history: the report determined the riots were based on justified concerns about racism and to stop them those concerns had to be met.
Oh yeah, they just threw this episode together because of Palestine, LMFAO. Not lighting the world on fire with the pea-brain of yours, huh Billy Boy? 🤣
