@@jonathanmarkham1998 y sure. but you use to be able to win with gold cards. Dumbia was insane. Reus was even better. Now gold cards are useless when the first special cards get introduced. Now only people will win with insane teams that spend waay too much time and money on the game.
@@jonathanmarkham1998 that hype was justified when you could win with every type of card level. you could have low rated gold players, silver players and even bronze players, with zero to non promos every week and the game was far more enjoyable than today.
Remember how simple the game used to be. Play seasons and cups. Sell what you don’t need. Play with what you need. Rinse and repeat. Nothing to do with tactics and stats. Either a player was good or not. Ain’t no one using non rare Draxler in this day and age.
I'm a casual player, I come home from work to play some FIFA and have a good time. I get into one rival game and have to question if this is my job. I have to stay so focused just to try to win. The game has been made so defensive I have to go and watch these tactic videos just to see what would help me break down a defense. Really and truly I just want to play but then you come up against 5 back and people who don't even try to attack.
Get Drogba, whipped+ on every winger and fullback. Its fun, easy, and if you win, people rage. If you lose, big deal. Its not like you get any rewards for winning more XD
Scarcity provides value. If everyone has a team full of Icons it doesn’t mean anything and the special cards lose value. I remember when someone had messi or Ronaldo it’s was like they hit the lottery.
Everything exist on a spectrum. Its not just pros, its also content creators. Everytime inception makes a video and say "You have to play meta", there will be hundreds of viewers who hear that and go "ok, I'm tired of losing, I'm gonna do what he said, just play meta.". But with that said, gamers in general have to hold themselves/ourselves accountable. Not blame pros or streamers or youtubers. Neither of them are forcing gamers to play a certain way, its a choice.
Agree. Pros ruined the gameplay. They want to score everytime, be able to dribble through the defense and outrun defenders with fast players. Eventually it was all about speed and fast through balls. The most boring game ever.
@@devonpack906 The metas were there for sure but the gameplay was still enjoyable imo, tbf I preferred Fifa 16 tho, there were tournaments in it where you could win players and this was the first year of draft, banging Fifa. It's amazing that from FIFA 16 the game modes regressed, whatever you play, you sweat now, SBC is the only positive thing from all these years

It's simple, they gave us everything on a plate, everyone can have 90+ teams in a month of the game realease. Makes no sense, take us back to the time when you got Messi or CR7 you thought you just won the lottery.
Agree with a lot of this. Meta tactics and anything related to meta has just completely taken over gaming (not just FIFA, but COD, Siege, etc). The same can be said about “grinding” when viewed in a certain light. And I think it’s generational. Nowadays the modern gamer, all they want to do is win at all costs, and be able to progress along a grind to continue earning rewards. For the most case it does seem like the whole idea of “playing for fun” is completely out the window. Think back to peak 2000s, Halo 3 custom games, arguably some of the most enjoyable years of gaming of my life - I think if you reintroduced that today at a wider scale, the game mode would barely attract any players at all.
Great video Skills. The only part of FC that i like is the pro clubs. There is this streamer named Isaac Elera that makes it so much fun to watch and makes me want to play it more. I agree this game needs changes and even with changes I think its too hard to come back from. Fifa 17 used to be so fun and now its a chore to play rivals/champs. Love ur vids glad to see u still makinng vids after all these years of decline in the game.

FIFA/FC has fallen off but if I’m being honest. RU-vidrs killed games. From showing all the exploits and stupid shit you can do in game. Telling people not to use your cbs because you can defend better. Edit: I agree with you on the competitiveness of FC… it’s made everyone so try hard in all games not just fifa.
As a casual player this is the first Game I haven’t bought since FIFA 14 !! The game is dead , I can’t bother getting a good team and all the people with R9 , Dinho and crazy teams that have been done in a week. I liked the struggle of getting MOTM Walcott or having someone crazy like Ahmed Musa or Naingollan gold cards till the end of the game. What’s fun if you get out cards that’ll be outdated in a week. Promos are so overwhelming and dumb too we used to get 12 promos I guess maybe more but now I read they’ve doubled that’s so annoying all these bad promos are being done with 1 card that’s useable. Up till FIFA 20 it was okay after that it’s all downhill. Never playing this game again, gotta wait till something good changes
100 percent agree man I started the year uploading content of this new fifa and after about 5 months I hated the content I was creating. I miss the days of old man I just can’t seem to play this game any longer it’s sad
I think something ppl might like is adding back league divisions but how it actually works IRL. Get a certain amount of points and move up and if you continually lose you go down a div. Also think there needs to more tournaments that work in real football too but in FUT if that makes sense.

I stopped playing Rivals and champs some months ago. Now just squad battles and grinding objectives. so happy with my elite 1 rewards. i always have a great team and didnt cash in at all
Tbh i tried and almost went pro with barely any money 6 years back and could never pack any decent players, at this point ive packed R9 and other players and idk from my anecdotal experience im having the most fun playing with a team ive been dreaming of having for years. I do see how WL destroyed the game, those 40 game weekends killed me.

Stopped playing ultimate team competitively end of 21… never looked back been playing ultimate team only buying the next fifa when it went on discount for like 25-30 bucks.
you're not the only one man I feel like fifa 17 was the last good fifa. Its been downhill ever since. I feel like fifa 13 or fifa 14 was peak fifa but i think 17 was the last good one.
My thing also is getting the same players in these packs. Have a system in place so that you don’t get repetitive same players. Especially buying the packs. You shouldn’t be getting the same players over and over again
I once made it all the way to D1 from D10 with a bronze team. Just regular bronze cards. Those were fun road to D1s. Its just not the same anymore. I'll stick with the crappy career mode offline.
What could you suggest to make weekend league worth while? Maybe take it to 30 games and bring back special packs. However maybe every week there is a special player that can only be unlocked by getting to say 25 wins or 28 wins? Bring back weekend league requirement teams. Silver team one week. 5 bronze in your team etc? Monthly rewards?
For me it’s the core gameplay that’s the problem. I stopped ultimate in January, I tried playing career mode (I love career modes btw) but I just can’t get around the gameplay anymore. I’ve tried to put OS community sliders, I’ve tried my own sliders, no sliders. I remember in older fifas I would play 4,5,6 seasons with a team. Now I can’t even get to January 😂 the ai score the same goals, if you play on legendary they just run down the wing and pass it into the box and play the extra pass.
I'm 18 and i loved fifa, i played fifa 18 and 19, and i had so much fun, of course i got mad sometimes but never like in fc 24. The gameplay is just one sided, like every game some random bullshit happens, like the tackles or the ball going only to my enemy's foot. I loved the older fifa games but after 4 year pause this game just hits different and for me as football lover is very sad.
We need you to speak your mind on these subject’s especially when it’s not emotional it’s just the truth of it and maybe they changed it because everyone complained about not being able to get the good players before but now they went so overboard with it that the market is ruined it’s not even team of the season and center backs with 85+ pace 90+ defending are minimum value
You would think this game would be so hype by now but since about fifa 19 I just can't get myself to actually play this game for more then a couple months a year most of the time. Fut is just more broken than i would of ever imagined
The second a company switches their focus from making a quality product to making record profit it’s only downhill from there. I remember people used to complain about fifa 20 but fucking hell I’d swap 20 for 24 in a heartbeat now.
To many packs to many SBCs and to many promos has killed ultimate team for me and removing the top 100 was were it went wrong okay I didn't get it in weekend league but still was gd to work towards and it just seemed more of a journey growing yr team
I literally re downloaded the old fifa games. FIFA 15-19. I wish I could play fifa 14 but can’t find the disc but they were just so much more enjoyable.
This is why i retired on fifa 23 i used to be passionate about playing fifa everyday and streaming it after school or work now i can't even play more than 1 hour
They need to create a new online mode online career mode but with virtual players (fake names) so u still keep ultimate team (the money maker ) seperate something new needs to be brought in and made

What id fix: -revert to cards that fifa 14 had(normal, totw, toty, tots) -gameplay. Focus on making it fun not realistic -more focus on building a balanced team with gems like those silver cards -way, way less packs. Do promos for people who spend more but maybe just like a 100k not 400k
pro clubs has turned into full meta too . Kickoff trough balls, corners counters, throw ins and ofcourse the big boi at top, its not fun as it its used to be. Also, the whole league system is a farce
I’d deleted the game 2 months in after release lol. Then they said the Christmas patch should fix most issue and the suufocating 70 depth bs. I redownloaded it after Christmas and the game is still not good. I don’t understand how they make the game worse after 22
In the newer fifas, i played fifa 14 the most. It was the most fun to play with friends and ultimate team. I didn’t have special cards, but the gold cards where fun. But it was the only game i played ”at full” skipped fifa 15, got fifa 16, played it but mostly with friends, couple ut matches, but no.. next fifa, fifa 19, din’t like it at all, but it was on me, i didn’t feel like playing then. Then the next was fifa23, i bought it and think hmm it’s been in fifa 14 that i played ultimate team so now i try that gamemode and get that rush! But no. For me, the constantly checkkin what is meta was too mutch. Somebody said here that it felt like working, and i agree that. In fifa 14 ut, i liked to build diffrend teams, hybrids from diffrend league etc, but in 23, if you got slightly worse team, and you are not super good at the game, you get trashed. And in nhl, hut is ruined too. Too many special cards in there too. My suggestion on the next fifa: you cant buy game currency with real money, and they make the game not to profit for a whole year, but to be the funniest fifa. Lose the special cards

Man fifa 15-18 was casual fun man . Nowadays ut has so many cards i dont even know what are some these cards and chemistry system is confusing . Playing rh game is so boring
esports has become so popular and profitable it’s no longer for fun and doing more with less. It’s about maximizing consumption and competition. Games are no longer built to entertain - its meant to be a way of life and profits

UT removed all the good gamemodes this yr. No silver league, and different kind of leagues with specific squad requirements where you can use different cards.
IMO fifa started dying when they start pushing competition in our faces, and they didn’t give the casual a space to use there actual teams that you want to use. Bring back the divisions and tournaments that we used to have. No one plays friendlies because your stats don’t count. They also made the computer so good average players can even play on professional comfortably. I’m blessed I have a friend to duo squad battles. Also the add co-op everything defensively is on Manuel when you play coop so when you play against a solo person that’s in you skill range it nearly impossible. Computer D op.
I’ve been playing fifa since 2012 and I gotta say this EAFC game was a huge let down. I knew from the beginning adding woman into UT was going to ruin it. Packing odds got higher so the more players they added the harder it was to pack someone good. At least for me. Every game people take it seriously like if their life depended on a win. All they do is go down line, cut inside, pass inside the box and shoot. The fun of scoring sick goals is gone. Every goal is disgusting

fifa 17 was like copy i got consecutively, i requested fifa every year for Christmas since 2010 world cup then i jumped from 11-17 now my relationship with fifa is i bought fifa 19 with my own money and 22, and will probably never buy a copy again, the childhood memories of this game definitely got ruined by the seriousness 😭
The most important factor by far is the tragic new gen auto defensive/auto drop back/auto press GAMEPLAY. Sucks all the fun out of game. I have no idea who this gameplay is created for?
I agree with a couple of things, however, the worst aspect of the game is simply the gameplay that is really boring. I believe it’s better for people to have more opportunities to have better teams. I just don’t find reasonable so many packs and pay to win. It should be grind to win, not the opposite. RU-vidrs are bored because casuals can have way better teams now than before. If the gameplay was good I would still play this game

For me the fun has gone because of poor gameplay and inconsistent game play its horrendous slow sluggish and clumsy its gone completely gone down hill the funs gone, I use to use silver players now its just unplayable!!!
