Tai helped changed my life. Back in 2018 I was nearly 30 had a failed business after a decade and nobody would hire me because I had worked for anyone since I was in high school. A friend sent me Tai Lopez's SMMA course the original one. Nothing to crazy but there was one video "How To Motivate Yourself Past Your Fears" that clicked the light bulb on. At that time I had moved back in with my parents and my life could have disappeared easily, fast forward 5 years I tripled my income, own my own home, I live in one of the best suburbia areas of the country. Its not the Lambo life and I was never interested in get rich quick but its a good life and it wouldn't have happened without Tai. His content and marketing tactics have always been controversial, all I can say is that I never would have got here without him and I definitely would never pursued SEO and digital marketing which is how I make living today had it not been for that course.

Of our time? Bit of a stretch if you ask me. There are way more people out there with far more interesting life than his. Most of what he's saying is his opinions, not facts. He's older now, so of course he's much better with words. Most people I know have far more interesting life stories than his. For example my mom. But in reality, no one wants to hear "sad" stories. Everyone wants to hear what they consider a success story. When Tai first came out all he spoke about was being broke and living on someone's couch, now all of sudden he's a farm boy living with Amish people. The dude was a fraud and is still a fraud. That's why he disappeared all those years. He stole people's money and ran away lol

Tai is responsible for me getting into reading books and personal finance. I took his 67 steps program, and I owe a lot to him for helping me get the right mindset relatively early on. edit: this isn't an ad for 67 steps, I'm pretty sure Tai doesn't even promote it. I took the program back in 2018 and listened to it while working out. I found out about Tai around 2017 and he was the gateway to getting into to personal finance content on RU-vid, which eventually led to me following Graham. I live debt free, I live on less than what I make and I'm currently working on moving to a different state while having enough money saved up for real estate investing while I'll continue my sales career. I will retire a multi millionaire and it all started with following Tai. I didn't open a book since graduating high school in 2008 until 2017 when I was 27 years old and I owe that solely to Tai.

Socrates's word for the "good life" was Eudaimonia. It's a combination of "good" and the word that came to mean "demon", but at the time angels would also be called "daimon"s. Interestingly, in computer programming, the word still exists as "daemon" which is a sort of self-running program, almost like the Jewish idea of a golem, which, taken back far enough, has the same sort of idea of a spirit/unformed spark of life. Eudaimonia is often translated as "happiness", but it really means something more like "live so that when you die your spirit will be a good one".

I can't comment on whether or not he's a scammer, but I think he had a really fascinating story and I think he's interesting to listen to. He is far from average whether you like him or not. I think these extreme hustler types are interesting to learn about even though I am probably close to the opposite of that personality type. They propbably do lots of sketchy shit I'm sure.

@@ParallelRentals1987 I dont disagree that its interesting to study the minds of these ppl. Its just important to tread lightly and make sure you dont fall for their trap. I found this interview to be interesting as well but I’ll never follow tai Lopez or any of his programs. He’s a mind you want to learn about, not follow.
