Ye is the only person I knew before his sneakers. He makes great beats. He's up there with Dr dre and Timbaland. Yeezy 1 and the wave runner 700 are his best sneakers. Still haven't put in the effort to listen to Travis Scott but I own multiple of his sneakers. It's good people venture in to different things to out there creativity. ❤
Hahaha, this video couldn't arrive at a funnier time. Had to pull the trigger before the end of the Adidas Yeezy drops so just got 5 pairs delivered to me. I just need some pairs in the collection. I love that there are a bit weird and divisive. But I'm totally aware that the hype is over. Great video man!
What fall They damn near still all sell out every drop (at least the popular models). Might be the death of the partnership with adidas, but the yeezy brand itself is bigger than ever, you know how you know? ...cuz sneakerheads still clammer to buy em up and Adidas are still making hundreds of millions. This all just made the anticipation for whatever his next project is sans adidas that much more hyped.
Excitement around his shoes is at its lowest in my opinion - plus there’s nothing new to look forward to from him and so it feels like the end of a chapter

Well done, kinda hope its not the end. Love 'em or hate 'em Ye kinda changed the game. Think before we had all these comfy, cant feel the ground shoes. I wonder if we would've made it here as quick as we did without him.
Great video of the topic, though Ye had gone off a bit on the sneaker front, no doubt he played an influential role in the Sneaker game, though I've heard his Yeezy designs weren't really 'designed' by him 🤔

Love the Video, especially as a new Sneaker Guy made me these informations respecting the Kanye influence a lot more, even tho the adidas era were never my taste.
Kanye achieved so much and I’m sure his success will be smaller in the future but at the same time look at the economic effect on Adidas, ye was keeping them relevant, that’s the power he had and he knew it.
I think the reason why Ye is running aound barefoot is because he wants to give us a message ''I will not support (by wearing them) any other shoe brand not Nike nor Adidas, I'm done'' I guess we will see an own brand by him in near future.
They sell out everytime even in 2023, not even close to being dead by any stretch of the imagination. Not to mention there's resell on a good majority of them. Numbers speak for themselves🤷♂️
I love Kanye as a musician and an artist. But never really felt his shoes and fashion statements. If I'm being totally transparent. His shoes are ugly AF. But people love it because it Kanye west. Just like Travis Scott. His shoes don't really look that cool to me. I have to see the vision to love a shoe. It has to express a style in a unique way. I don't see that with Kanye

I didnt like Ye at all for many years. He was on a big ego trip and he often said crazy things for attention. Its a little bias on my part considering I stop listening to rap in the late 90's. It wasn't till about 6 years ago that I started to be more open minded in music and started to listen to everything. My friend's begged me to listen to Kanye even though I still thought a lot of his music wasn't good. They told me start with Graduation and we will go from there..... they were right. As far as his shoes go, it was a bit of a slow burn for me but, eventually the Yeezy brand grew on me pretty thick. Comfort is amazing and the style was really coming together. Now I have over 50 pairs of Yeezys. Ye is definitely a unique individual and he always finds a way. I wouldn't say that he is on his Fall from Grace. Rather I would say this is just his next chapter.

Though I can’t stand him, I will still enjoy his legendary catalog but I just don’t understand the hype surrounding his ugly shoes. They look like slippers. Hated those poorly designed shoes then, hated them now.
I think ye and sneakers is done with, he may come back with some sneakers (assuming he continues his no large company M.O.), and they’ll flop. They’ll be too high of retail since he no longer has the cheap labor driven infrastructure he previously had with Nike and Adidas. Plus, his design choices honestly sucked. The Yeezy Desert boot is alright, the knit RNR boot is ugly, NSLTD is horrendous, foam runners weren’t everyone’s favorite, and slides are just slides…. The only way I see Ye coming back strong in the sneaker game if he joins New Balance. Which would go against he whole philosophy in regards to large corporations and him being the one in charge of everything

9 years ago Adidas was rock bottom in the US until they signed Ye a year later from NIKE, he was probably the first non athlete to get a deal that include royalties . NIKE limited his creativity and realised they made a mistake so they took his man Virgil and Don C. Kanye has since changed the design language of an Adidas shoe (look at adilette lol), created the most valuable silhouette in Adidas history, brought hype to Adidas (I could go on). The fact that one man can make major companies like Adidas almost 1b a year off Yeezy and bring Adidas to the forefront in American market from 2014 is something thats unheard. His name Yeezy itself is a money machine, adidas sold half a billion off one drop this year and could pass 1b from august drops. That in itself will never fall off. Anyone who followed Kanye prior social media knows he's very unconventional with style and smart with marketing. Him being anti shoe is a marketing campaign for the next era. That Adidas partnership is over for sure, end of another great area. Side note great video.
His downfall was talking and repeatedly saying some really terrible things. No matter how talented or how much monetary value you generate, you can’t go around offending the masses. It became more than shoes
Personally never understood the Hype behind Kanye, not a fan of his music and honestly... most of his shoes are just ugly... I kinda like the Nike Air Yeezy 1 and the 700 Boost ( Wave Runner ) but the others... definitely not my cup of tea..., especially the 350's ( v1 and v2 ), Foam Runners, Knit Runners and the 450's... they just hideous! Still... he influenced the sneaker game, thats for sure!
Yeah a lot of Yeezys have been sitting during these restocks - a lot of models even going on sale - from camping out for days to get Yeezys to Yeezys going on sale feels like a rise and fall to me but you may see it differently and that’s fine
@@sneakernomics5547 Restocks more like milking it. Adidas and Kanye are no longer together. If Nike restocks Harito or Travis at the same quantity they will sit too. That dont mean fall off.
They overpriced but the comfort is so worth it. Jordans go from $140 to $250 retail depending on model and they uncomfortable af and crease ugly after a couple of wears 🤷🏽♂️
