If they were his fans, they were already subscribed. The 40 million-ish people who did subscribe to him, only did it for the memes. Nothing to do with them actually liking his content. If it werent for that hype, based on projections, he would only have about 70 million subscribers today and not the 100 mill he has.
@@hristogradinarski3799 Is that what he does now? I never watched a single PewDiePie video. Last time I remembered, he was known for gameplays to horror games and him screaming. Which isn't something to hate about. I mean every youtuber can literally all do the same thing. But it takes a certain personality for people to enjoy more than others to get popular on youtube and that's what pewdiepie was the product of. I personally could care less about Pewdiepiew and is why I refuse to subscribe to him since I don't like his style of videos. But i didn't know he does meme reviews now so learn something new everyday.
Nigahiga doesn’t deserve to be lost. He still makes quality quantity- well that’s probably the reason why his channel dropped. RU-vid promotes quantity low effort crap over quality and constantly demonetizes his videos. Fuck RU-vid
@@markdowzell4550 you realize t Series was one of the first ever youtube channels, right? They are an india based company, India has a lot of people, they sub to t series. Its not bots, and if you bothered to check, some of their more popular songs get BILLIONS of views.
Not like it will last long. Just like the legendary Shaye Saint John, after a certain extent of inactivity, even if it is due to the death of one of the owners or co-owners, the channel and all of it's videos WILL be taken down eventually. It is just the cold hard truth in this sad timeline we live in, and the shitty stuff RU-vid does.
@@Zladnyl i dont think youtube removes videos after a channel has become inactive... i created my first youtube channel in 2008 and didnt log in since 2009 because i dont remember the password but the crappy stuff i uploaded as a kid is still there 12 years later

I think it's incredible what Ryan Higa (nigahiga) has done. He started about a year after RU-vid launched and has remained as one of the top channels for a decade and a half. That level of consistency is ridiculously hard to come by.

One million subs at the time seemed so huge since hardly anyone had that much. I'd say it was the equivalent to having 100 millions subs today. Now every other decent channel has 1 milly subs.

I think I watched a bit if lonelygirl15 back in the day. RU-vid has changed so much over the years. I didn't even know youtube had a subscription function back then. I don't think I was logged in when watching RU-vid in the 00s.

I like how smosh's downfall began to arise as soon as annoying characters like Olivia, Courtney and Keith joined in.... Among these only prolly Shayne is good ..... 2014 was the beginning of the end for Smoshers.... Anthony's departure was the ultimate blow to the formerly great youtube channel as after his departure they barely gained a million subs with 1.5 years passing....
But the only youtube channel that is still amazing and not dead is nigahiga, he has almost all of the members except for sean, and his videos are still funny as hell.

Again, I respect his decisions, he pursued his career, but as a fan, I really enjoyed =3 with Ray, without him it just turned cringe every so now and then...
They were pretty much headliners on every social media account a few years back. You couldn’t watch a video without one of theirs being in the video lineup somewhere. SMOSH is very well know as this graph shows and as my personal experience has been. They just aren’t good anymore
Smosh was good up until like a year before Anthony left. Then Mythical Entertainment (Rhett and Link) had to save them from bankruptcy. I remember watching their videos when I was probably way too young to understand most of their jokes, but it was still funny. Their videos today aren't anything like they used to be, it's a damn shame. The channel grew into a company, and that's when everything started to go downhill. It was best when it was just Ian and Anthony on their own (with the exception of the Smosh Games crew, they were great)
