Being a Tik Tok/Social Media influencer isn’t forever and these young influencers need to understand that. They drop out of school and try to do it full time but eventually they lose their footing popularity and then it’s “Now what?”

Literally every influencer becomes irrelevant after a while

I personally never understood why they got famous over a couple of dances but I do respect it entirely. But I feel kinda bad with how harsh this downfall is for them. Hopefully both sisters find their own way.

i think people made charli famous when they were bored, and as they continued to watch her more and more they started to realize, she doesnt even really have any talents besides renegading edit: even if she is a professional dancer, she hasnt showed that in her tiktoks also this is just my opinion

It’s sad the Charlie regegade dance gave her a lot of opportunities like going on tour with celebs and popularity and brand deals even tho a young black creator made that dance and didn’t even have any recognition for it

This is what happens when people become famous for no reason. It is easy to go viral for a short time but it is difficult to build longevity for a talent people actually appreciate and care about.

I feel like the D’amelio’s have so much problems going on that it is crazy especially Charlie. From making fun of Walmart employees to Charlie’s skincare brand it’s going downhill. Same thing with the Kardashians 🙄

TikTok is an app that is all about trends and charli became big when dances were the biggest trend in tiktok but now that it isn’t she lost her appeal. Unfortunately no one keeps their fame on tiktok for long since people keep moving on to the next trendy thing.

The thing with the parents absolutely wanting to use the girls' Tik Tok fame to lanch into the Kardashians 2.0 is that the Kardashian model wouldn't work today. When the Kardashian show first came out, social media wasn't as massive of a thing, nor was the average person's exposure to the lives of the rich and famous. The Kardashian's lives and out-of-touch personas had a kind of novelty in the early 2000s that doesn't exist anymore. If anything, the average person is now burnt out on that kind of thing.

I feel like some celebrities start thinking that they have other talents when really, they don't.

Personally, I think the majority of their fall is because Tiktok fell off and they had nothing outside of it. However, unlike other creators like Noah Beck, or Vinnie Hacker, they are so boring, and talk like .5 speed. Not to be rude, but they simply are dull.

i think that the way that you described it was on point. they are too normal in the human gaze. the thing is that even if they change they will never be accepted. if they make themselves too dramatic such as james charles level dramatic you will be hated on and be told to go back to normal. i think they got famous for the wrong reason so there was nothing special afterwards to carrry their fame.

People need to understand that Charli was still a teenager when she got famous, of course she didn’t know how to handle the fame and HATE. People are just being mean or no reason..

I could never blame her for rising up to fame just like that but i do blame her parents or whoever it is that's behind her, her agency etc because she clearly loves dancing. I've seen they are trying to dip into any projects or business without any thoughts or long term plans and it fall out shortly after BUT the dancing with the stars. She glows in that show. They could've support her because she do have talents in that and there's just so much potential

i think the only reason why they couldn’t convert something outside of tiktok is because a bunch of people were hating on them constantly calling them “talentless” or saying things like “i don’t get the hype” or anything along those lines. i feel like they’re very nice people who just didn’t know how to branch their new found fame into the real world and not in a video that was 6 seconds with the majority of the time having a sound over it

I’m my opinion, I think she’s very talented.. she just got famous for the wrong reason, she was a contemporary dancer since she was 2 and that’s very hard.. so it’s sad that she got famous of of moving her hands instead of her real talent, so people thought she was cringe and untalented, spreading allegations that she doesn’t credit the creators of the dances when she puts them in the captions of her videos.. She seemed better before the fame, rich and happy, but the fame ruined her .

Charli has 9 million subscribers and barely surpasses 50k views. How? How? Charli was definitely an industry plant. Her mom is so childish at 50 years old acting and dressing like a teenager

To be honest, I kind of disagree with a lot of what Anna says in this video. I'm not of a fan of either of the D'amelio's and don't care for either of them in the slightest. But, there's NOTHING wrong with being a one trick pony. Charli is great at dancing and that's where she shines, I mean she won DWTS as well. She shouldn't feel that she HAS to do EVERYTHING. Focus on what you're good at, don't try to be more than who you are if you can't be more than who you are. As for Dixie...nepotism at its finest. Although good on her for trying with her music, I wish I could sing. Music isn't for everyone, Anna knows this more than anyone, but if Dixie is happy doing that - then I wish Charli would just leave her sister to do that. I feel the adults around this sisters are pressuring them into doing stuff. You can have a fulfilling life by not being famous, and still singing and dancing; the success might not be as much - but both sisters have a huge following in compression to most of us. Being fame hungry is NOT the way to go. Both sister have more than enough talent to succeed in their own specific industry. It maybe a niche to them, but to their fans it what's they love them for.

They are so so so boring. I am unfollowing them also on TikTok.

Season 3 was so bad because Dixie's mental health was borderline crazy. She seemed to becoming an alcoholic ! Her parents seemed to not care as they now were money hungry and desperate . I mean who let's their daughter turn up to a launch party after having a seizure ? And the father refused tests that would take a long time because he was not going to miss that party . I think the fame went to their heads and they really need to get help for Dixie . Poor Charlie is the cash cow and needs to separate from them and do her own thing .

So I watched their show on Hulu, and I feel like they got a lot of hate for doing what many of us would do if given the opportunity to move to LA and work with cool brands and make tons of money for ourselves and family. I think people were just jealous that it wasn’t them that blew up so they felt like it wasn’t “deserved”. The truth is, they did the right thing. Even if they do fall off, they had the ride of a lifetime and experience to look back on.

They have all had their rises and falls. alot of tiktokers and youtubers.

For me the problem is that she got so much money and opportunity from mediocrely performing black created dance moves when black creators rarely get a sliver of that kind of opportunity.

I hope they're able to turn off the hate comments when deciding what to do with their lives because neither sister is untalented, its just the algorithm that put a lot of eyes and expectations on these girls and I feel so bad thinking about the influence that we, the audience, has unjustly had in their development. The secret to 'talent' isnt being good, but finding your rhythm and rolling with it consistently until it becomes good, in whatever you love (or just better, because 'good' is subjective). I think this is normal for a lot of celebrities as well as businesses. Every famous person or business will fall off at some point. Whether it is in 2 years or 50 years. Nothing stays famous forever.
