At the turn of the 20th Century Europe is in a state of flux, the perfect conditions for the formation of the most terrifying political organization history has seen, the Nazis. How was a nation like Germany seduced by them? Was an entire country under the spell of the Nazi Party or did the hope of a better life quickly turn sour once the killing began? All these questions are answered as we track the birth, rise and ultimate demise of Hitler and the Nazi Party.
It's still the template for today. Marxism vs liberalism and globalism vs nationalism. More importantly, it's the media's presentation of reality vs the peoples.

"One man created this transformation" - I have strong feeling this transformation would be totally impossible in 18th century. Without public media such as radio, press media, accoustic amplification equipment, cinematograthy Fascism simply could not be realized. This is the spirit of the era. The fact that fascism(and communizm) emerged at the dawn of all these technical innovations is not a coincidence.
Everything that happened during ww2 was a magnified Grand and multiplied version of the previously similar waring activities of Europe, due in large to the industrialization and newer technologies enabling mass production and mass communication.
A whole country & more "Taken in by one man's magnetism." Can this really be true? There has to be a large number of sympathetic participants. One man can never do this level of evil by themselves.
Teacher: what is the capital of Germany? Adolf: Berlin Teacher: what is the capital of Austria? Adolf: Berlin Teacher: what is the capital of France? Adolf: Berlin Teacher: you failed Adolf: we'll see
@@paulrasmussen8953 So... Germany started WW1, lost, didn't like the terms they had to deal with because of the ear they started, so they decided that enslaving and murdering all of the Jews in Europe would somehow "right the wrong"... ..and you actually still have the balls to say that Germany was not at fault? Put down the Crack pipe clown 🤡
It is so easy to blame the Germans, but my friends, they suffered, they really suffered under the treaty of Versailles, the French drove them into the ground and one man appeared, this man saved them, he gave them hope, he restored their dignity by giving them jobs, hope and restored pride. My friends, although I am a peace-loving man, if one man or woman would come forth and drag the UK out of the cesspit from where it has sunk, they would have my vote.
This documentary is still steeped in the "control-the-past, control-the-present" paradigm. We won't have an objective history on the 3rd reich for hundreds of years.
It's mediocre at best, it's not that it's bad or he wasn't talented as an artist, he certainly was talented, it's just that in comparison to the really quality pieces and the kind of upper echelon of art, it's not in that category, it's a step below
As it should be. Because the alternative would be the losers would tell their version of history and I doubt that it would be more accurate than the victor's. "Today's history lesson brought to you by our defeated enemy. After all, aren't both sides always right?" great
The Germans have weighed in on what they think about that time…proper embarrassment and a desire not to return to it. Modern Germany is far superior to then.
And who said that the victors vision of that event is right? Lear to hear the two sides of the things, then observe and analyze the whole situation and after that you can have a better understanding of the things to get your conclusion.
I really need to take my history classes more seriously haha I love history so much and was so fascinated by all this in middle after watching Pearl Harbor. I decided to learn about the wars and then I discovered who Addy was and never had been scared of a dead person until then.
You have to do your own research. Most of what you learn in school barely scratches the surface (feeding you BS just so you have a basic understanding)…
Germany learnt from their mistakes with modern technology during WW1. Germany was late in developing as a united nation. Germany was late to colonialism too. One thing they didn't progress in was Diplomacy. They relied upon the nations in central Europe coming under there sphere of influence but never shared the technological advances they undertook during the 1920's to early 1940's so the Axis allies had very poor equipment.
From a German: AMERICANS PLEASE don't do the same MISTAKE we did in Germany..... it will destroy our world.... (chinese, russians, turks and hungarians already made the HORRIBLE mistake)
Fact is there will always be a dictator is some country and usa will always be worlds police or try to because power courrupts people and I think they lose there mind to a certain extent so they will always exist ....facts
@@bumblebee8588 Fascism didn't spring out of the ground magically. It was a reaction to communism. You can't talk about the rise of something without talking about....you know...what it actually rose from.
I wonder who were the one Group who established the laws of freedom of expression after World War II? As they allowed the Creator and the prophets to be insulted, while people in the northern hemisphere were no longer able to search for or disseminate religious and political truths. Through any means available in the universe, but perhaps it is available within the private homes of each individual between only four walls!!! ? The infection has spread throughout the southern hemisphere, and misguidance and deception have become widespread in books and pamphlets as if they were holy books and the priests of an American dollar..!!!
Blame that on RU-vid not the person uploading the video. RU-vid is the one who put in the adds. But if you want to avoid them on any RU-vid video. Just scroll through to the last minute of the video let it run to the end, & then hit replay. The video should now play add free.
@Werner Pfeifenberger it was a joke if u understood it you would know....... im not sure about this but if he did well in art school who knows - just a theory before you get all political 😭😂
Beware those who are able to charismatically amplify and impassion your deepest prejudices and your darkest desires, for once you fall under their spell, they will become your Overlord and Master, and you will become their obedient slave !
I like how history completely ignores the Russian involvement in the start of WW1. The head of Serbian intelligence met frequently (almost daily at points) with the Russian ambassador and military attache in the weeks leading up to the assassination. The ambassador then conveniently was out of Sarajevo when the assassination occurred. It's also hard to believe that Serbia would have acted so brashly against Austria-Hungary (the pistols used were stamped from a major Serbian armory, this was hardly clandestine) without Russian military backing. Upon assassination of Franz Ferdinand, Austria Hungary was the first nation to order a partial mobilization. It was Russia that was the first nation to order a general mobilization. Yet we conveniently seem to ignore this fact for whatever reason. Germany then sent an ultimatum to Russia demanding that they cease military mobilization against Austria-Hungary and Germany and simultaneously sent a request to France requesting that France stay neutral. However, France ordered mobilization as they were keen to avenge the humiliation of the Franco-Prussian War. These are the factual events, and they turn the idea of Germany as the evil aggressor completely on its head. Of course, the Germans were not at all adverse to war...all the major European powers were gripped by war fervor. However, it was actually Russia that started the chain of great powers mobilizing in relation to what could easily have been a cut and dried case of Austrian retaliation for state-sponsored assassination of a national leader.
History is written by the victor. Germany may not have been the initial aggressor, but they pissed off pretty much every country in the world by extending a losing war, and their U-Boat campaign had extensive collateral damage. I can understand why they were characterized as a villain after the fact.
Ma tu I'm proud to be Italian but there army was not strong like Germany I wonder if the Italian amry was like Germany what would of happen.peace out Joe
