Hello, trans youth here. starting off with debunking some idiots in the comments. I figured out I was trans all by myself. I am christian, and struggle with going to church because of queerphobia. My mental health has improved since finding people that accept and love me. Now hear this from a trans CHILD I am scared to visit my mema because she lives in tx. I am scared that I might get taken away from my parents, I am scared I'll get harassed or attacked for being trans. I'm scared in my own state, where someone at my school recently threatened a gay guy in my grade. We had to go on lockdown. HE STILL GOES TO MY SCHOOL. These laws that are meant to "protect me" are what could end up with me not being alive. I have to do research on what states I can go to safely. This is America. Your children are terrified. Protect trans kids.
I am so sorry to all the people in the LGBTQ community who have suffered at the hands of people who have called themselves Christian. My faith absolutely condemns this behavior as we're *supposed to* spread love and acceptance of oneself and others. People have butchered this and let it become something that it was always intended to oppose. I am so so sorry to any poor soul who's been effected by Christian bigotry. It's not at all the way of Christ
No your faith doesn’t condem this behavior. Homosexuality is literally a sin in the Bible, so don’t try to say “we’re supposed to spread love and acceptance”. The fact that they say it’s to keep kids safe but I my self as a middle schooler and in the LGBT community am scared. I’ve been bullied because of how I present myself and I hate it. Every day I wake up I think I may not wake up because someone is mad on how I look and that’s because of these people. So if they want to say that they are protecting kids they can suck it because they have hurt me and my friends and peers.

It is quite interesting, however there are also people in Washington state trying to make it considered child abuse to not let you child transition. There are always the two sides.
My parents know that i, myself, am transgender, but still hold extreme right's transphobic speeches for me not to transition. Mom, this is not very punk-rock of you. Dad, this is not very "protect all civilians" of you. I'm not even surprised for my uncle, his wife and kids, they cut off all contacts when i came out as gay already. Funny Story: I actually learned about the existence of gay people through the last book in the Captain Underpants series when I was like nine. I don't really remember the exact events (this was like five years ago, mind you). I think the mcs, who are both dudes, travel in time to the future and met their future selves as adults, and one of them has a husband. I was a little confused, but it didn't bug me at all. After I finished it, I asked my mom and older brother about it, and they were like, "Oh yeah, some people love people of the same sex and there's nothing wrong with that" and I was like "alright sounds legit" and moved the hell on. It did not take away my innocence or turn me gay, I'm straight. Honestly, the only people who actually think that a kid knowing the existence of gay people is going to harm them are straight adults who didn't learn about gay people until they were older and think that it has to be like that for everyone. They're really just assholes looking for an excuse for their bigotry.
I think that was the first introduction to gay people I can remember (my mom says I knew earlier, when I was like 3) and I just didn't care that much, the last book was my favorite though
@@U2Two I mean I don't read them anymore and I can't remember half the shit that happened in those novels, but I will forever be glad that young kids will have good representation like that in media. I wish it was more common and wasn't something that is so controversial.

It is insane that they frame drag queens as groomers, while the same people and their party are unwillig to raise minimum marriage ages and set limits for marriage with parental consent? They completely ignoring the actual grooming that is happening in favour of a fake moral panic and vote grab...
i feel like the raising the minimum age for marriage doesn't compare to this though. Drag queens is a performance with a persona, where as this is just...a law, it doesn't really come in the form of a hobby that will influence children's behaviours because idk how they gon see a law dancing. If we're old enough to vote, why aren't we old enough to get married. And for the second one, I'm not sure what you mean, if i'm interpreting it correctly, needing a parent's consent to get married to a certain person? Because nah man, I've seen too much nparent behaviour in a life time to not know that that's too much work.
@@adamas5925 What they are trying to say is that in the USA a certain political party is unwilling to raise the minimum age of marriage. When people under the age of eighteen or so wish to marry, they need their parents' consent. Republicans do not want to raise the minimum of age of marriage, ergo they don't want to end child marriages. There are certain states where children are being married off with the permission of their parents. People want this minimum age limit to be lifted so child marriages would stop, but the party does not seem to be in the favor to do so. The problem is not people old enough to vote marrying, it's people not old enough to vote getting married with eh consent of their parents.
@@adamas5925 it is about child marriage. In some states you can get married basically from 0 years old as long as you parents consent. The discussion on drag queens is also leading towards legal changes "to protect kids" while these laws remain the same and republicans do not seem to have any concern to change them. This law influences a childs entire life, because their own consent is not needed for the marriage and in some stated they cannot get divorced until they are 18. Child marriage def has more influence on kids than a drag brunch.
Me and my bf both faces shit and the hands of a grown man on a power trip. I was groomed and he was raped and it has nothing to do with the person themselves. A groomer is not a drag queen a groomer is not a gay person a groomer is not a black person A groomer is a groomer
Ok, could we assure to have a minimal decence to keep childen from complex matters ? To explore kid's naivety in exposing on explicit and immoral just seems wrong :/ . LGBT+ has enough support via media, content, etc. With information everywhere, it wont take longer to them to discover that area. Its like a river, we just let it flow to whoever feels like, and thats great. We just can't shove it down like some class-like obligation, the freedom of one ends where it interferes with other's freedom, and it includes childhood innocence right. Bless ur day + I discord with "theres only two genders stuff" , everybody have right to feel what they want to be like. To *themselves*
@samuelrebelo9301 Do you mean that it's explicit and immoral to be queer? It's not like being told that some people are gay is going to ruin kids' innocence or something.
@@uhuh9859 It's not about what people identify themselves as, its their right and freedom as everybody else. We got to to create easy and educational classes as foundations for the child. Dont need to rush as everybody will have a more mature mentality to deal with, later, as this theme is everywhere. So that's why im don't support the LGBT+ itself, but i do for singular and individual non-straight ones. Mb if i did overcomplicate stuffs Still, i disdain the negative feedback on gay, lesbian, etc about what they simply are, on the video.
@@samuelrebelo9301 I'm all for protecting children, but the way you phrase that makes it seem as if the LGBTQ+ community is sexually abusing children, which it isn't. Child abuse happens rarely, but it isn't more common than abuse outside of the movement. In fact, I've noticed a lot of the pride community distance themselves from groomers and those who genuinely harm children. And I've been exposed to pride as a kid, but I still maintained my innocence (until the internet ruined that 😬). The pride movement is deeply intertwined with queer people, and we wouldn't have the rights or acceptance we have today without it, so putting down the community (which is queer in its entirety) does hurt queer people. Homophobes like to put out propaganda about how the queer community and its members are gooming kids and abusing them (first it was the gays, now it's the trans people), all so they can get their anti-queer legislation passed. I hate to see it when people who otherwise support queer people throw that at the community as a whole. Btw, I'm not like trying to come as rude or unkind or anything. It's hard to convey tone across text 😅.
I've been actually groomed, by a cis man, and this whole thing makes me sick. I hate seeing people weaponize my trauma to perpetuate their own irrational fear and hatred.
Doesn't change the fact that 47% of all Homosexuals were molested as a child by another Homosexual or that 30% of all paedophile are Homosexuals whilst being 1-to-2% of the population.
I apologize for that traumatic event, but it really shows what the right wants. They don’t care if a cis man is grooming, they care about banning the ability to be lgbtq+, but they are waving the pretty flag of protec da children to rally people and hide their blatant homophobia. It’s especially juicy that those same republicans that ‘want’ to ‘protect children’ also are trying to repeal child labor laws and lower the age of consent. Huh. Almost if they don’t really care about the children. Strange.
@@inklovemailt’s not ok to tell people that they might be trans just because they may be more masculine or feminine why should 6 year olds learn about that i have heard two cases of people killing themselves after being coerced into transitioning
i learned about gay people from a very young age. it did not “turn me gay”, i’m straight. i was not confused in the slightest when i was told what makes someone gay. i was just like, “oh, okay” and that’s it. fuck the bigots who lie about how this shit affects children. just admit that you’re extremely closed-minded and need to make up a justification to hate.
It's similar the other way around too. Someone can not even know what a gay person is and still feel attraction to the same sex, regardless of whether they're able to articulate it or not. Who "influenced" them then? Just because you are kept away from the mere notion of queer people doesn't mean you can't be one. Hell, why is it bad to be gay in the first place, why must we feel the need to keep that idea away from our children? At the end of the day, we are all human, and it is sickening to see the bigots hate on other groups because they're different and need to find a way to justify that hate.
That happened with my sister when she was around six. My mom told her what gay meant and she accepted it and moved on. She came out as pansexual around half a year ago.
I'm almost certain that even you know that you don't fully believe what you're saying. Learning about gay people alone doesn't turn you gay, it's when they actively extend the measures they take to "teach" children about gay people that can change their perspective to adopt that view. Inviting a drag queen, someone who literally is no different to a pornstar, is an already used and overkill method many schools use to "teach" children about gay people. Then, you have the fact that lots of schools every June literally will change their school logo into a pride variant and then cover the entire interior of their school in pride flags; this is indisputably political, not educational. Frankly enough, schools end up neglecting the religious standards of religious students by literally turning what should've been a simple educational facility into a gay pornography range in the process. Conservatives aren't only annoyed about it merely being taught in school subjects, we're talking about the extent to which "teaching children" about pride and where that is seemingly going. People like you will ALWAYS use euphemism to brush it off as "we're just being taught that gay people exist...?" and then refer to us as bigots when really we're saying these methods you're using to "teach" children about gay people are excessive, disgusting and detestably wrong, all the while fully knowing the unnecessary and excessive means that are taken to "educate" children on it. I'm sorry, but the moment that schools partook in embedding a pride variant flag every June (perhaps even earlier) was the moment it shifted from education to indoctrination.
We actually had a shooting in a gay bar in our country last year. My teacher said to us -knowing that some of us are queer- that this happened because we talk too much about gay people being marginalized and because we are "solving problems that don't exist". She said that she "has gay friends" and they don't have any problems living in our country, therefore everyone elses problems dont exist either. She said that the death of those kids were our fault. Because we wore pride flags during pride month. While looking me in the eyes the entire time. No empathy whatsoever.

You do realize this trick goes back decades, right? Homophobes in the 70s said all gay people are pedophiles and accused them of sexually harassing their children at school by... Being allowed to teach normal subjects there at all. Also the fact you're defending someone who openly states themselves as a "theocratic fascist" makes me think you should really re-evaluate why you're saying what you're saying.

We're from the same country. Honestly, even if this is a very awful thing happening in the US, I'd rather not have any major news outlets talk about this, since all of them are very, veeery conservative and most probably will try to twist the info and make it anti-lgbt propaganda. You know RCN and Caracol are both well known for twisting their news to make their prefferred political party look good. If a queer relationship being shown is considered indoctrination then isn't it the same for a straight relationship?

its screaming at the wind. they didn’t teach slavery or the genocide of the natives and they still dont. the education system is for privileged people anyways . if u want a socially educated child, dont pop one out an expect public school to do that. you are an adult thats your job. an if u pop out kids and not adopt a child already born an in need, i dont feel sorry for you anyways. if u can’t educate your child properly then you need them taken an given to someone who is capable and educated in child psychology.

Like tbh I think the issue is more with a person than the actual object. It's kind of like a hand. On one hand the hand can be used to feed the homeless on the other hand it can be used to strike some one. I mean if we restrict gun access will that really be the end of the problems? People will find another way to hurt people no matter what you restrict access to. I believe we need better health care. But that's just me I guess.

One of the things about this that gets my goat that isn't really talked about is how all this nonsense about LBGTQ+ being groomers means that *actual* groomers are getting looked at less. It's gonna become *really* difficult within the next few years to take *any* such accusation seriously because of how much it's being overused and misused. Basically what I'm saying is: I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's an intended side effect of this new wave of propoganda. Like a magician playing sleight of hand to make us all look in the wrong direction. Still... I'm pretty sure that the upcoming generations are going to be way more accepting of LBGTQ+ people, despite this attempt to demonise them. My main concern is the damage that will be done in the short term.
That and it's scary that places like Texas and Florida are passing more laws to protect adults treating their children like property and churches in communities that may systematically abuse people. Statistics show us again and again that the main culprits behind child grooming and r*pe are from paternal family members (fathers, uncles, brothers, male cousins, etc) and people in positions of power that have access to children (priests, politicians, police officers, teachers, etc). And with these laws coming in that demonize LGBTQ+ people while protecting the main demographics responsible for these crimes can and will ultimately punish almost every innocent party while allowing the abusive parties to maintain power over others and furthermore to allow access to those groups they want to abuse.
I've seen a good number of people point out that sadly this is probably part of the real goal. Get the average citizens at each others throats so that the real abusers go unchecked.
The reality is that the term "groomer" was first proliferated by left wing Twitter as a false accusation against relationships with any perceived power imbalances, even 19 year old CallMeCarson dating a 17 year old as a prime example. Then the right adopted that false accusation term, and started using it to bring back the classic homophic "gay people will harm your kids!" claim but with modern language. The term was already rendered meaningless the moment the internet popularized it. Left wing twitter is to blame for starting the improper use of the term, and the right is to blame for making the situation worse. It is best for the term to die altogether. If an accusation is real, call the police and press charges, otherwise the term should not be taken seriously when used online.

Sometimes for someone like me hormone replacement or suppliments, or puberty blockers, or surgery is needed when complications arise from how we were born. Either as a teen or adult. These restrictions would negatively affect everyone who needs it for a variety of reasons. And not to mention intersex people are being unethically operated on at birth... and that still happens today in secret. Which barely gets any traction to be completely banned, only a few hospitals have denounced it from what I've seen. It's a sad world. ( sorry for any poor English.)

However, winning the culture war is a part of this, and so, from my experience, educating youths and supporting those who do ultimately would be the path to win it. What is really confusing is the fact that people assume gender affirming care = immediate reassignment surgery/ drugs ESP for children I live in the goddamn Cali, as insanely blue as you can get. I am a trans minor, I know how it works & what it's like. There is a 6month to year requirement for therapy first off before you can rlly be considered as someone who needs to just embrace it (I've been in therapy for over 3 years; gender comes up fairly often & I'd been wrestling with it before I even entered the horrific internet). I am also a foster kid, meaning I obv have other issues which they have you try & weigh out in therapy. Onceit is determined to be an innate permanent struggle; that's when they even start advising anything like this & it's always going to start with social aspects. Using binders to bind your chest, dressing more tradiotionally masc so people are more likely to perceive you that way, etc. If it does make you happy & you are satisfied, that's it. You don't NEED to go farther than that. You always have the freedom to opt out. If you need more, than you move onto puberty blockers. I decided that I can't do the hormones & stuff because of my specific problems & after being told of all the possible risks by the therapists & doctors; determined that it would put me too much of a risk. My body is weak; I was malnourished growing up & I abused my body. It just will screw up what fragile balance I have & possibly even kill me. Mortality rates for actual bottom surgery are not great to say the least. Performing THAT on children is the only unethical part. Hormones CAN cause mood disorders, weight gain, acne, weird hair growth, certain re[roductive disorders, etc., but generally they're not that likely to actually kill or disable. Just cause treatable annoyances. I am just way too fragile rn to even consider that. Gender affirming care also aims to affirm you as an individual regardless of your body. It does not push any "indoctrination" & it does not push people to seek further stuff. It gets you to think deeply & really consider the pros + cons of the decision you're trying to make in a place where you won't be ostracized either way. This is what most "leftists" want; ability to choose according to their own belief systems w/o threat of their individual freedoms taken away or lives being lost due to their beliefs.
The fact they act like the effects are "permanent and irreversible" just shows how little they care to even slightly look into it. You can start puberty blockers as a teen that will have long term side effects barely any worse than any average medication even if you choose to stop once you're an adult. And if you don't and continue other steps it'll have massive mental health benefits.
In terms of the grooming accusations, one piece I think is most interesting is that the rhetoric you see today is borrowed. I say this because in 1977 there was a coalition formed in Miami, Florida called the Save Our Children coalition that used the same rhetoric that is today against trans people existing which was then used against gay people simply wanting buy homes, and from their pamphlet, in their reference to gay people, I quote the first text seen on the front fold/side 1: "Save our children from homosexuality." Then on you can find places on side 2 that says "it endangers our children," among other familiar phrases today like "it threatens your home," and "it attacks free enterprise." The pamphlet includes so many accusations but it is purely rhetoric and anecdote-based, in that it includes no case studies, no graphs, no numbers, no sources cited whether scholarly or professional, and other than the aforementioned anecdotal references it relies solely on the projection of religious beliefs against the group of people at hand.
Yes. A lot of pro-Segregationists used the same rhetoric to deny an education to colored folks as well. That they would somehow use it to "prey-on" white women and kids.

Associating anyone, particularly already marginalised minorities with "grooming" is effectively incitement to violence and law enforcers should recognise it as such.
@@dfmrcv862 That doesn't follow. Suffice it to say however, that a marginalised group is going to be less familiar to the public, people will be less likely to know a member of that group personally, and therefore untrue stories about that group will be more likely to be believed, with less chance of being disproved by personal experience. @@007kingifrit "wanting to do harm" is not the same thing as tearing down a restrictive system. you sound like you think society is already perfect. just because something is out of the norm doesn't mean it's harmful; it's *far* more harmful to keep people locked in that box in the first place. so what if someone wants to wear different clothes? maybe if defying the arbitrary assignment of clothing is interested in "harming the social fabric" the social fabric needs to be changed.
Why does the government care so much about these things?! When their actions and new laws are causing so much harm? Do they genuinely think they're doing the right thing?
1) Culture wars distract the masses from Government efforts to transfer even more wealth and power to the elites while everyone else gets screwed. This is the biggest reason why both parties in America engage in culture war battles (Democrats and Republicans treat the rich and powerful fairly similarly when you look closely, despite telling the people different things) 2) Democrats did many of the same things to the unvaccinated and other populations who did not fit into their expected fear of and approach to dealing with COVID-19. Lots of what we are seeing towards LGBTQ people is likely driven by a desire to retaliate against the Democrats for their infringements of the rights of the People, while more is likely the result of such restrictions on people's personal medical decisions now being within the Overton window of American politics. 3) With all the religious nutjobs who think they are literally doing the work of God by passing these laws, yes, plenty of them think they're doing the right thing.
My perspective is that the whole situation is emotional, and not logical. This means that there is no definite proof of anything really, and the answer will never be logical. the idea that like letting kids be exposed to gay content means that they'll turn out gay is so fundamentally stupid. i'm bi and trans. i was exposed to only straight content my entire childhood. and yet here i am! two of my mom's best friends are a lesbian couple - and yet she's straight. it's not contagious. the "grooming" allegation comes down to the idea that men wearing makeup, etc, is inherently sexual. which like... why? in what way? you can say 'kids shouldn't be in a strip club', and sure, fair enough! i think there are certainly some sexual situations kids shouldn't be in; i don't think they should be allowed at, say, hooters, either! but have you seen any of the queens actually doing those story hours? it's the same level of makeup and clothing that a pantomime character or a clown would be wearing. and if you think clowns are inherently sexual at that point i feel like thats something youve gotta work out with yourself but the thing is, people see gay and trans identities as inherently sexual in a way they don't see straight or cis identities, even though on a fundamental level that makes no sense. i can't help but wonder how long it's going to be until the three-article laws from the 40s-60s make a return. There are millions of straight people who believe this, and who spread these sorts of ideas. Stop pinning it on closeted gay people, when this has been an issue that gay people have had to deal with at the hands of straight people for generations.
@@exposureeee Oh, for sure, there a plenty of genuinely straight people who have been oppressing gay people. It's just that when their homophobia comes along with s*xualizing things like pride flags, it's rather strange and not very normal for a straight person to to views those things that way. To be fair, a gay person probably isn't going to s*xualize such things either. Nonetheless, a closeted gay person or bi person who is ashamed of their s*xuality could potentially view such things as s*xualizing. Basically, the point is that plenty of straight people are homophobic and are responsible for oppressing gay people, though a certain subgroup of homophobic people who make these wild claims about things like pride flags being s*xual may be people who themselves are insecure about their own identity and projecting that insecurity
"I don't want to reach a compromise with you. I don't want to be polite to you. I don't want to share a planet with you. That's how much I despise what you stand for." The feeling is mutual, Matt.
@@sorentothesky Was about to comment that too. For a man who talks about LGBTQIA+ people grooming children, he seems pretty okay with grooming 16-year-old girls to marry them off.
I just thought I'd mention the beard guy who is so keen on protecting the kids is infamously the guy who said 17 year old girls are the most fertile and tried to excuse child marriage
@Jeremiah McBrearty thats the point.. its worse because he doesnt see teen pregnancy as a problem, he sees not married teen pregnancy as a problem. Hes okay with it as long as theyre married which is disgusting
The interview with Sasha Colby where she says, "Because I'm a trans woman" and the interviewer immediately says, "It's because you're a WOMAN," :') more journalists like this please, Sasha is an amazing woman!
Being trans should not be excluded. Not because of trans pride or anything but when it comes to good health, trans information is important. The trans body is altered and because of it requires special treatment in good health, more than healthy born woman.
Cis gender, heterosexual male here. Just wanted to say that if you think trans people don't exist or that they are groomers or that trans kids don't know who they are or that gender affirming care is bad, then know that every major professional organization in all the relevant fields disagrees with you. Solidarity with LGBTQIA+ people!
You forgot to mention that gender affirming care always starts with talks and counselling. You can not just go and ask for surgery and that's that. I think a lot of people forget this. Otherwise this was a really great video. It's just so sad that this is needed at all. Me being European this thing that happens in the US now, takes my thoughts to what I know of the times before World War 2. With book bans and queer people needed to wear pink triangles and Jews a yellow star amongst it all. That was a really dark time in our history. Why do people want to repeat that?
Identifying acceptance, tolerance and simple human decency as cultism attached to whatever identity is being targeted, draws attention away from the genuine religious cults attempting to use trans people as a wedge to help them take back control of human rights on a broader front. Drawing attention away from the religious motivation behind the anti trans war of persecution is even more important given how religion has lost its reputation in the chosen battlegrounds of women's rights and child safeguarding. In fact, these are issues that have prompted many people to reject the organised part of religion.
Stop lying. Your movement has not been about tolerance or acceptance for a long time. It is about the next sexual revolution, even if it means sacrificing the health and lives of children. Get out of your worldview bubble. Watch Matt Walsh's lectures, read the critiques of your environment, learn about the history of gender theory and its founders. It only takes a little effort to significantly change the attitude towards your environment. The more we reliably learn about LGBT communities, the more negative attitudes we take towards them.
Yes and satanism and Marxism are certainly a perfect alternative for many of these people… We can gladly criticize the church for their faults but, do not pretend that much of homosexual community do not seek radical circles that exhibit the same level of irony as any religious dominion! I assure you that Christianity is quite fair, but your beliefs stem from growing radicalism, and the church is an obvious superpower that stands in your way. Point being, do not act as if you are any more noble in this crusade of yours.
LGBT IS a religion. Tell me how is the belief, that a person is "born in the wrong body," not a quasi-religious one? Nobody says that people with schizophrenia or autism are born in the wrong body.
@@artemkatelnytskyi “born in the wrong body” isn’t actually a great way to explain what it means to be transgender. It’s something the media used, as it was easy to visualise. Because of the use in media, it automatically became a common saying in everyday language. A better way to describe it would be: wanting people to perceive you as another gender then your biological sex.
@@artemkatelnytskyi When some trans people say that they were born in the wrong body, that is an experiential statement, not a religious statement. They are trying to find words to express what it feels like to be them.

I love how they act like grooming is something exclusive to lgtbq+ people and would "protect" their children from them, when a straight person is just as capable of doing the same thing but they don't care about that. This isn't about protecting children, it's about spreading hate.
Yeah im pretty sure It doesnt make it better if teachers started passing around the cis-gender version of "how to suck dick 101", instead of the gay version. Your uneducated and ignorant if you think there isn't an actual agenda, because we literally are taught this agenda in highschool psychology. Its not LGBT people, but a group of ideologues who think gender and biology are meaningless in cognition
I wanted to celebrate pride month, but it looks like it’s not going to be possible for a while. I’m a trans man and a demi-pansexual/panromantic person. I don’t ever want to hurt kids. Hell, if anything, I want to do everything in my power to protect kids from these bigots and poisoning their young minds with their hatred and contempt for anyone different from their own in any way, shape, or form.
@@Creepex And why is that? I haven’t harmed any children and I never plan on it. I just want to be myself and not fear for my life or the lives of my loved ones due to other people hating us to the point of wanting to, and in many cases have successfully, do us harm. I hope you have a good day.
I'm a white, heterosexual, man that lives in the USA. I am opposed to bigotry, tribalism, discrimination, oppression and persecution. Conservative groups in this country engage in campaigns of dog whistling, fear mongering and spreading misinformation which culminates into hate and violence. Empathy, Education and Equality are essential to protecting the rights of ALL citizens regardless of our differences.
@systic gmd This narrative you push about trans people is statistically irrelevant and does not represent a trend in society. The detransition rate of gender affirming care is 2%, and the bulk of detransitions are caused by peer pressure from family and financial circumstances not allowing them to pursue further treatment. You have fallen for an image that is statistically insignificant and fueled mainly by grifters.
@systic gmd 5% of the US says their gender is different than what they were assigned at birth. That's about 16 million people. On average in the US and Canada, 1% express regrets about it, and over 80% of THEM regret it because of the discrimination they face for transitioning. That's about 160,000 people. 0.4% or 64,000 detransition because they weren't happy with the actual results. Yes, people do detransition, but they are an incredibly small minority and it would be stupid to dehumanize and attempt to destroy an entire population over that tiny percentage. The fact is if people aren't happy, detransitioning is a very real, very simple process. Edit: A very small minority of an already small minority. No child is getting surgeries or irreversible damage done to them. Drag queens aren't molesting them en masse in libraries. The argument for why kids shouldn't see these things is pretty much the same reason nutter butters got worked up over the Little Mermaid not being a white woman. Times change, and if you're stuck in the past you can't honestly expect the entire world to sit around with you.

Being trans isn’t a choice??? “Transgenderism” is a offensive term used to dehumanize the identity down to a ideology or an illness. It is NEITHER. It is a identity and a very real one in fact.
Lol, yeah living in a state that has good living comparable to most of the us, which is the most pampered country for you people is so scary! Thank you so much for making this! it was a heartbreaking watch, but so informative! Thank you. I'm from Denmark and part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I can say that the rise of anti-LGBTQ+ politics in America rubs off. Drag story hour in Copenhagen has had a lot of criticism and very uncomfortable protests. This is a scary time, but we are strong, we have to be! Happy pride month. I'm so proud to be part of this community.
I am trans myself, in America. And lately, it has been hard for me to act like a human when you are not being treated as one. I have a growing anger and hatred towards humanity lately. Yes I am venting.
As a trans person in Scotland, while I admit I am in a more fortunate place as the people in the devolved power of the Scottish Parliament do want to help the LGBTQ+ community for once, they are sadly at the whim of an increasingly prejudiced UK Government, which ended up being the reason a revolutionary reform to the Gender Recognition Act (which would have made the lives of trans people in Scotland easier) being blocked. It’s sad that many people in power seem to think attacking a small community of people who just want to exist in peace is the biggest problem in our society.
I’m a queer person from Denmark too, and I agree, I’m beginning to see people being more intolerant towards the lgbtq community, and it’s scary, I usually don’t tell people about my love life because I’m scared they will say something negative. Obviously it’s not as bad in Denmark as it is in America, but a lot of people here agree with the right-winged Americans
Me in Florida as an educator: hehe I'm in danger. Edit: DeathSantis extended 'don't say gay' law into high school as well, so the argument from stupid ass 'centrists' about protecting small children falls apart. I teach at the college level in Fl and we are seeing DeathSantis pass legislation gutting diversity funding. This is a blatant attack on education and is hilariously ironic seeing as DeathSantis is a former history teacher.

oh my god. I always knew Matt Walsh was bad but always avoided his stuff, that small section at the start of him speaking made my jaw drop with each sentence he was spewing, so effortlessly, so naturally, I could feel my skin crawl. Im not even trans but being near him would make me be shaken to my very core in fear that he would do something to me. This is so scary. All strength to to all transg people out there.
Mart walsh: I literally want you off the same planet as me and think you shouldn't exist. This guy: "But wHat wAS the CONtext thou.... 🤪" Mate, his other content provides the context. Dude literally equates drag queens and trans people with groomers, literally states that drag queens by their meer existence are a danger to children, literally lies about gender affirming care to bolster his agenda. But nah you're here saying "But that CONtext thou 🤓" Bloody hell.
@@herobrine024 Even with this context I still would be afraid of being near him regardless, because this is hate speech by the end of the day. Hate speech shouldn't be normalized under any circumstance. It only works as a systemic oppression tactic, any group that is considered a minority suffers from this. Misogynists take bad things that are done by feminists not to talk about the problem at hand but to find justification their misogynistic beliefs, racists pick up bad things people that aren't white did to justify racism, homophobes and transphobes do the exact same thing, its only history repeating itself, and the way Walsh voices it, sounds like its getting to the level of necropolitics too. He could have talked about his frustration, talked about solutions, in so so many other ways, but the fact that he chose hate speech is already a red flag by itself , because this is what his audience wants to see, and probably because he has hate inside him too, and wants to spread some fear. Because thats the only thing hate speech works for, I have suffered from the effects of hate speech, I know the feeling, it crawls in the back of your mind that someday you will be so hated for being compared to something awful that you had nothing to do with, that anyone will feel they have the right to do anything to you, and nobody will be there to protect you.
1. If you actually listen, he talks about all queer people, not just the supposed few that endanger kids 2. Even if it were a legitimate example, I didn't know one person doing bad things was an excuse to arrest millions of other people in that demographic. 3. He's shown his prejudice and hate to the world enough by now. He's said before that drag is a modern perversion, when people in Europe have been doing it for centuries, even Shakespeare. He's said that hundreds of thousands of surgeries are performed on youths, when the actual amount can be counted on two hands. He's said that the presence of gay couples in media is grooming, while straight couples are not. And dozens of even worse examples that I don't have time to list. His motives are not legitimate. 4. If it was so bad, care to tell us what it was? Or are you just trying to save face?
