I have been trying my hardest to be able to contact you. I would love to speak to you about the book I have published on African history. It is a historical drama involving the conflict between the Mali Empire and the Mossi Kingdoms. Your videos helped me a lot when I was doing research and I would love to be featured in your channel
B@@hometeamhistory806high hometeam ,numbers 6:5 says anyone who vows to be a nazarite must let the locks of their hair grow and only black people grow locks naturally as samson had 7 locks even Solomon in song of songs was said to have bushy locks !
This mythology will never be dispelled until African nations develop enough to reach stability and produce their own stories similar to Hollywood/Bollywood.
i agree, the only way to defeat a story is with a better more entertaining functional one. You can't just destroy a story and not replace it, it'll only lead to the fracturing of the Nation. Maybe into more of individualism ideologies.
@@carlosellerbe-j501 The issue with this one is that the beauty standards in Asian culture seem to favour fair/paler skin over darker skin. We also see this in India.
In order to dispel the myths, one has to stop allowing other people to tell their stories, and to be historically accurate and honest as possible in the telling of their stories.
Yeah we have more colonial myths that We have internalized like "Ancient Egyptians came into West Africa and created the complex Civilizations of West Africa". No Akan, Yoruba, Mandinka, Igbo etc were claiming to be ancient kemet (egyptians) before the european came in.
@carlosellerbe-j501 farming in Africa was independently developed from the rest of the world ONLY in the Sahel region and a little into the forest zone. They don't know WHERE exactly but it could of happened several times independently in West Africa and East Africa. What Scholars know for sure that ancient Egyptians didn't independently invent farming. They got it from the Levant. They were growing the same stuff as they were, but the Egyptians did invent irrigation techniques that differed from the Levantine farmers
We have a lot of stuff to dispel and deconstruct. In I know, this channel is not focused on it, but I think the most work that needs to be done. Listen regarding North Africa in Egypt. I constantly deal with people who claim the ancient Egyptians were not black in spite of all the evidence pointing towards the contrary. And that extends to places like Morocco and Carthage in spite of all the evidence that shows the original inhabitants were black and showing that there was a cross migration of people to dilute the original phoenotype type.
My response to those racists from the 19e century? No, not half devil, half human. But half human half goddess 🌬️😂 Let’s correct those Aryan fairy tales with actual facts and not fiction. Let’s get to business. Keep up the good work. I have been a fan for over more than 10 years. Thank your for your academic contribution. We’ll will share your work with the world.
@@fabbeyonddadancer So you have a copy? Did you read all of it? As for Prof Rodney he was one of the top black scholar out of the Caribbean. So you say he not up to European standards? Black men don't write good historical books that's what you saying in a nutshell?
We should dispel these racist myths but until we come together as a united people we will struggle in dispelling these myths. Another amazing video as always keep up the great work.
We always have to check the perpetrators of history fraud in check. Eventually the younger generations of the perpetrators will see the truth and confess and profess it.
For ages there were Grios that kept tge history of their people, and those people are still able to pass on the history. We don't need WP to tell the history of Africa. Wake up !
Great video my brother but I often wonder why you don’t reference Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan, Baba Baruti, etc in your videos when it comes to citing fellow ancestral & elder researchers? You seem to take it upon yourself to do your own research which in itself is utterly amazing honestly..🎉 but I was just wondering my brother.. shoutout to you and your brand, channel and efforts to continuously educate us on our history, and culture ✊🏽
I have read pre 19th century writings where the same "noble" europeans report on the, excellence, prestige and their amazement of multiple reported kingdoms on the west coasts of africa where your people came from. Post 19th century literature & representation of a dark continent with no civilisation was almost confined to the middle interiors within central africa where your people did not come from. Have I missed something?
What types of African cultures were those colonial Europeans coming into contact with in Africa? Were there any African societies that were as "advanced" as European societies at the time? Europeans were judging African societies by how developed they were in comparison to European societies. What types of science and mathematics did Europeans see Black Africans engaging in? What type of writing did they find below the Sahara? What types of architecture did they find below the Sahara? If Europeans weren't finding these things that they associate with being developed then it's not surprising that they would assume not many Africans below the Sahara had done or produced much in science, mathematics, architecture etc.
I conclude that many colonizers refused to accept what their eyes and reality was showing them. And for the things they could not deny they either gave other people the credit (other than Africans). For example, the ancient ruins in Zimbabwe they claimed it was built by the Greeks. Being below the Sahara did not disconnect anyone from having a civilization. There is evidence of ancient ruins in the land now called Ghana. Mali and Benin had rich and established civilizations. There were books, literature, languages, letters, etc etc in African regions below the Sahara. Those Africans were not disconnected from the Africans who were living above the Sahara either. Colonizers were good at making up stories to fit their opinions. If they saw the Africans as inferior, they forced reality to make it look like that is true. They also destroyed things they saw. The many items from Africa in the British Museum defy their myths, but they do not see anything wrong with holding onto the delusions. And unfortunately they have enough worldwide support from those who benefit and gladly declare themselves anti-African/black.
