The way she speaks during all sorts of interviews only show that she's mature beyond her age. Graceful and always positive, she is all about positive spirit. Really amazing for a teenager.
Definitely a major shot in the arm for woman's tennis and tennis in general; she's certainly rekindled my interest in tennis with her abundant talent, beauty and intelligence. Let's hope she continues her success and is around for many years to come
Don't know why everyone is so excited, yes she won a grand slam, not many players does, let's see what her result will be in 2022. I wish her all the best and hope she will win more grand slam or wta title. I hope it is not a one time thing.
She'll have to wait for a while and prove herself to be a rounded champion... and that her US Open win is not a flash in the pan. But I pity her, the media hype, esp the British media, has not made her path easier, unnecessary pressure for her young age.
@ho ber I really hope so. I’m a fan so I hope it is just growing pains-adjusting to the spotlight. Also hope she had a good financial team to set her up for life.
Golf, skiing, dirtbiking, go-carting, horse riding. Must be nice to have rich parents. Those are among the most expensive hobbies for a kid. And she did all of them?
whose here after her US Open 2022 dirst round lost? I love Emma and I think this is a good way to start the rebuild. She wouldn't be seeded so high in competitions and might even need to go through qualifiers for some events. All this gives her more time to adapt to the high level of tennis progressively unlike this year. It is like going for the A levels without going through junior college. It has to be done step by step and now she can with a lower rank after losing 2000 points
She's going to be a billionaire before she retires. She's amazing at tennis, super good looking, speaks mandarin, Romanian andEnglish, and is going to be the face of so many products. She's a marketing dream.
@@red4666 she only needs to be competitive. Her looks and her accent will be a marketing dream. Like Sharapova, her non tennis income will eventually dwarf her on court earnings.
@@geofthompson3844 that’s a good point. You think she’ll be the next Sharapova, but I think she’ll be the next Bouchard. Yes, I understand Eugenie never won a slam, but their exposure for being the next tennis “it” girl is almost the same.
@@red4666 yes, exactly. Although, that's the absolute lowest level possible. If Emma is the real deal, and if she ends up being a true superstar level player who wins 5 or more GS titles, then she'll be the Uk's first Tiger level megastar. Although, having thought about it, just winning Wimbledon would be enough. That would be crazy hype. She'd be a national hero.
@ho ber yeah, and even if she were forced to retire early because of injury, she'd probably get a job in media. Annabel Croft and Virginia Wade are ancient history now, Emma Raducanu would probably take over.
Rise of Raducanu? No, the title should be the FALL of Raducanu. She started at the top, USO, and has FALLEN ever since. Rarely has anyone, with so much talent and promise, risen so fast, and fallen just as fast.
A lot of surprizes in store ahead for all the nay sayers and her critics.! The girl has got class and skill to spare.! Cant wait for her to return to the court and start taking her place again at the top.😅
She is so like Sharapova.. If you watch the 2004 match it's soooo similar and just ridiculous.. however Emma doesn't grunt I really hate grunting.. Do you????
Please put the photos of Sharapova and Raducanu side by side. Do you see anything similar??? Height, physicality, style, tennis IQ,appearance??? Nothing similar. Sharapova is beautiful and classy.
For a girl on her first full seasons on the WTA, and still very much on a learning slope, she's still won more matches in 2022 than she's lost. She didn't rise fast, she exploded on the scene with her win at the US Open. Take out that win, and she's been making steady progress.
good tennis player. has she disappointed herself recently? yes, not only the pressure but.. she is going through what loads of other players go through and this is when she plays so well that in another tournament after their incredible win she blows it and goes back out of the top 100 in no time. lets be honest she is so popular because of her personality and looks. a bloody joke to be honest.
Why 'should have'? Emma mauled her just like she did everyone else. 6-4, 6-3 is not exactly close. During the 9 matches up to the final, Emma scored 27 aces against only 14 double faults, put 77% of her first serves in and won 73% of them, won 57% of her second serves, had break points in 33 out of 48 return games in which she won 277 points, and lost only 5 service games. She certainly deserved to win the final just as much as anyone has ever done.
@@BenjWarrant Specifically, who did Emma play in the tournament prior to the final? And she mauled who? I would say Leylah "merited" the championship based on her track record. Her path to the final was much more an achievement given who she played and defeated. Emma played no one in the top 10, whereas Leylah played three of the top 5. Had she won the tournament, it would have been a true "David vs Goliath" story. Her game vs Emma would have been a better test if Emma had a similar path to the final. Leylah's matches against the girls in the top 5 were consecutive and each went three sets, and left her understandibly spent for the final. Emma won the final, no disputing that. Put into perspective, she had an easier path and benefitted from how the draw unfolded. Time will tell how successful a career she will have. I wish her the best and hope the ridiculous pressure she is enduring does not impact her negatively.
@@bartholomewlyons Ahhh....she needs to back up that slam win with some solid wins and other titles. She hasn't done anything significant since her LUCKY win at the U.S. Open.
You are clearly not a fan of Emma's so why are you watching videos about her? Just to spread negativity I guess. Unfortunately there are a lot of people like you.
