58:44 I am from Modinagar. Modinagar was founded by Gujarmal modi(Grandfather of Lalit modi) in the 1930s. They started textile mills, chemical and steel factories along with numerous educational institutions. I went to one of the schools that was founded by Modi family. If I am not wrong our PM Nehru came to inaugurate one school in the 50s. It is sad that by the 90s all the factories were shut down due to terrible management and internal family fights. Do podcast with vikram gupta harsha bhogle and jay bhattacharya with thia guy. It is a gem of a conversation. I dont know this gut before this podcast but oh my god he is really a knowledgeable guy in cricker. Harsha and jay is also legend. And add vikrant as a host because you love him or hate he knows cricket very well and he is good anchor too.
One small doubt. The first three world cups were sponsored by Prudential (not Providence) and was meant to be a rolling trophy (which changed when Reliance became the sponsor in 1987 and continued till the current rolling trophy wasn't introduced in 1999). Which means that the Prudential Cup has never been won by a "white team". So the assertion that Prudential threatened to withdraw sponsorship if a white nation did not win the world cup in 83 (when WI had already done so twice) is rather curious. I couldnt find any reference anywhere to this. Will be grateful for any authentic links. PS- A rolling trophy is not meant to be given away permanently and like all rolling trophies, it's always a replica that's provided for keepsakes.

Mumbai lobby was playing against Punjabi Lobby and Indian Cricket team over Gavaskar’s ego in 83. Sandip Patil was an exception though and he was not part of Gavaskar lobby. He really played well during the whole series. Gavaskar ruined Sandip Patil and Syed Kirmani’s career later on….
