@@daindigokid It's becoming a legitimate option for NBA teams to Dev players - they learn more than they do in college and the G-League (the g-league they are just trying to get their numbers). It should validate Lavar - he really believed in his kids - and I had bets with people that Lamelo would go first round. Also - to hear that Lavar would go down to the Wollongong RSL and buy meat raffle tickets (and win the trays) is just hilarious - just something I'd never thought I'd hear any American say

Lamelo's ridiculously talented. He's the youngest player to get a triple double, youngest to hit 7 3s in a game. Terrific passing ability, a better shooter than his brother. Very fun to watch.

I have been a fan of the Bobcats since they debuted in the league. We NEVER have had a rookie like this. Omeka looked good but even during his best season (his rookie year) we all joked that he looked robotic and that most of his points were in garbage time. LaMelo has immediately made the Hornets better. I'm fairly certain that the Hornets best & 2nd best lineups both feature LaMelo- who has quickly formed good chemistry with the likes of Biyombo (both on and off the court apparently), Rozier (who always looks to pull up for a 3), Monk (ditto about the 3's), and Miles Bridges (who hates on rims every game with some NASTY dunks). Oh and don't look at his per36 stats.... They look quite... Magic-al.

like melo says hes been playing basketball since he was young against his older brothers. He played varsity when he was in 8th grade and against pros when he was 16. He has the feeling for the game from playing much older competition. Hes a playmaker simple as that. Hes going to thrive in todays playmaker powered nba.

Great video. To think that LeMelo is just 19 years old, as you mentioned, is NUTS. These great young point guards - like LaMelo, Luca Donkic, Trae Young, Ja Morant - are just exciting. So young, but so good - and on track to become potential superstars... I love that LaMelo has a scoring small forward like Gordon Hayward to play with, and an athletic freak like Miles Bridges to help him finish those spectacular alley oops.

Ball and Hayward at point forward position interchangeably, with Bridges or Washington taking turns to charge at the rim, I think the hornets finally find a unique way only they can play, oh and it's pretty good.

He is an all around player but what sold me is his mid range. Most of the greatest guards and forwards have really good mid range jumper. Obviously, his basketball iq and passing are 2 of his strongest points.

The fact that lamelo has been playing pro since 16 has helped his game. Its like how Brandon Jennings tore the league up once upon a time after playing pro for a year in Spain. And most European players that hit the nba succeed, at a better clip than American players. It seems they stay in the league longer. They have been playing pro since a young age and are more fundamentally sound.
