Alex Riley being announced in a triple threat and main event title match, then pinning Lesnar clean was the hardest I've laughed and most I've ever seen chat pop ever watching a stream.
Every time I see Alex Riley, I always remember that time he thought a crowd sign reading "PUSH RAGE" was meant to be for him but in reality it was Matt McMuscles putting his Def Jam character over on TV.
@@JustSortaOK I think he went back to NXT and started being a mean heel, angry at his career so took it out on the new rookies. He definitely talked about his rage a lot.
@@JustSortaOK Riley tried to get this Rage gimmick over where he felt he was being held back and overlooked, not helped when he was being menaced by a newly debuted Kevin Owens who was way more popular than him, Riley got injured and then returned looking like a Wish version of Triple H
I’d rather them stream online matches on this. I mean , it works still, so why not grow the online community by promoting the fact that it still works online
Holy fuck, that A-Ry 'Monster' hype video made him seem like more of a star than he's ever seemed in his entire life; also, does anyone know who does that cover of Monster because it sounds better than the original Imagine Dragons version?

It honestly is amazing just how freaking great the storytelling in the HBK vs Alex Riley match was. The face-heel-dynamic was executed to perfection, I could practically hear the chorus of boos during HBK's assault with the replica belt, then Riley's apparent comeback after the Impaler DDT and the chair set-up, only for it to be interrupted by the Sweet Chin Music, HBK getting the Okada treatment with the camera zoom-out during his taunt, before utterly destroying Riley and getting the win. A simple story, seen thousands of times before in wrestling, yet still when it's executed to perfection, it will always pull you in, even in a video game.
As someone who also pushed A-Ry in their WWE Universe, this is beautiful to see and makes me feel like I’ve connected with Newlegacyinc on a spiritual level.
The Monster WMV was fantastic, props to beefy. Also, the Stone Cold soundboard bit never gets old. I was there for the live stream and the bit with the WHAT?s on the stunner still got me cackling.
Remember when Yoshi Tatsu and Tyson Kidd had that feud over an action figure and it culminated in a ladder match where the action figure's leg was hanging above the ring?

It was so awesome seeing this live...and unfortunately experiencing the heartbreak alongside the boys of Alex Riley not becoming a double champ in one night.

As much as I understand the nL guys being sick of Universe Mode (because of how broken the game mode can be and boring at times) and they've got other good projects, their UM content is just peak wrestling gaming content. From the original streams in 2k14, to the Wrestlemania show in 2k18, to these more recent WWE '12 UM streams - this is just so fun to watch and follow. UM and Johnny playing Career Modes will forever be GOATed
I like to think the game eventually caught on to nL's in-jokes by the time it decided to have Cody do a random run-in, considering the whole running joke with Cody in the WWE PLE sims a little while ago

I just realized that we were all amazed when they “Changed” the logo for WWE 2k23 with the special font on the “23” now I realized that it’s just the same as “WWE’12” 🤣🤣
A little story about this game: I found a copy of this game, Fallout 3, and LittleBigPlanet for the PS3 one afternoon after it had rained. I didn't think anything would be in except for a few empty cases (there was a PSP case and a case for a DVD version of Terminator Salvation), but when I picked up the Fallout 3 case and cracked it open, there it was: WWE 2K12, LittleBigPlanet and Fallout 3, all three barely scratched.
I want to see Michael Cole take the championship away from Shawn Michaels in WWE '12 universe mode, he's freaking deserve it! Jawnny, your laugh made my day, every time. 😀
