In 1773, David Rittenhouse designed and constructed the orrery clock that is now considered his masterwork. An interactive display in the Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery gives visitors the chance to hear the clock's complex chiming.
I wonder if it is possible to make an computer that can do this coupled with the original face so that people who cant spend thousands on masterpieces like that can still have an amazing looking clock in their living room
First, WHY have the music that competes with what the guy is saying? The music is irritating and too loud. Second, for those of us who cannot get to the Drexel Picture Gallery to see and hear the clock, why not put the clock's "complex chiming" in a video so we can hear it and see the clock in action?
The video was taken and compiled by Drexel staff, we had no idea of the final product. I did record the restoration of our work and when I have time will create a DVD for sale of the clock. It was a great experience to work on this clock, this is not for the faint of heart B.T.
