This. This is what real, LIVE music looks and sounds like. No backing tracks, no lip syncing, no pre programmed bullshit and no stupid gimmicks. Instead, you’ve got a group of seriously talented guys, flat out firing on all cylinders for the entire set, cranking out some of the dirtiest, most ferocious fucking rock and roll music you’ll ever be likely to experience. All real, live and delivered with unapologetic swagger and style. A proper rock show. I’ve followed these guys for years and they’ve yet to let me down. Jay summed it up perfectly at the end , “We are Rival Sons, and we play rock n’ roll music” (a nod to Lemmy perhaps?). I hope they keep this train rollin’ for years to come.

I love Rival Sons, they deserve the hype. But in the US, the crowd is old like me frankly. Late 30’s to seniors at a rock concert. To many Young people in this country don’t get the energy and power of real rock. They watch manufactured, talentless people dancing while machines make all the music.
My kids are all under 25 to 15 and they are all rockers. I raised them right! No auto tuned bands that don't actually play or create their own music. Rival Sons are a breath of fresh air.
The younger generation isn’t connected to rock and roll because it’s been out of vogue for so long. Hip hop took over and kids were born into a rockless world....these guys are keeping the legacy alive.
I'm 17 and a full-on rock/prog fan. But I completely understand why people like what they like nowadays. Trends change, and that's something we all have to accept. Music always changes and evolves, but this doesn't mean the past isn't appreciated. Hundreds of years from now people will still be listening back to the great rock musicians of our time, just like how we today listen to composers like Bach and Mozart

These guys are amazing. The singer is simply one of the greatest rock singers of all time. The guitar/vocal chemistry is awesome. If anyone can save rock 'n' roll, it is the Rival Sons. I can't wait to see them at the Fillmore West in May. I am stoked.
This gig could perfectly be a official one. I probably have watched this a dozen of times. A gateway for one of the great Rock and Roll bands nowadays. Congrats.
I’m 73 years old and I love these guys! First heard them on the Chevy truck commercial and thought this had to be a group from the late 60s. They would have been the hit at Woodstock!
Saw the 3 times opening for Sabbath, then again in Nashville with Welles. Seeing them in April in Chicago. Gritty, soulful rock 'n' roll. The best rock band out there without a doubt.
@theconstruct67 I'm not sure if Jay needs a lot of dance moves and I've seen him do some. His sings with such power and passion that just watching him sing is an experience, almost a spiritual one. Besides, not every great rock band has a front man that does stage moves. Pink Floyd didn't. Neither did the Beatles. Jay seems to get the crowd going with just a few soft notes. As for as Greta Van Fleet, another band I love by the way, Josh could do with some more stage presence but I've noticed in more recent concerts, he's improved on that. I guess all that touring is helping there. That said, I love both of these bands and I want them to succeed because we need some good rock and roll :)

i saw them in 2018 as a foreband of Guns'n'Roses ' in Germany Mannheim and honestly ... i am more fan of the Sons thean i am of the Guns because of their OUTSTANDING live perfomance! Personally i agree with the fact that they are the greates Rock band in the world at the moment!
I was there with my parents that night and oh my god it was incredible !! It was my first time seeing them live !! I will never forget that night it was just awesome and emotional for me !

Awesome - April can not get here soon enough - should be the last time to catch them on a club tour - but I won't complain if they keep playing the small venues!!!
Saw them in a small club here in Norway in November 2019. Absolutely awesome. Actually the last concert I saw. Way too long ago. I agree with you: they should absolutely do stadium tours and play the big festivals when that can happen again. :)

(sorry Maynard) Had the plaesure to see you at "Waldbühne Berlin" (with Black Sabbath) (wow!!!) and several times at other locations (wow!!!). Scott: Your guitars drive me into tears. The guitar sound is ... unfasseble (how we say in German). How it should be. Overwhelming. (No. I woldn't offer my fresh restaurated Guild S300D for any of that. But unfortunately they are amazing too, in their own but specialized way) And to play on Bataclan is a sign for the world: Our last weapon should be: the Electric Guitar [Jimi Hendrix] and Our Voice. His drums are awesome!...tuning them in that old jazz and swing era sound ...which the yesteryear rock stars would emulate...its about freak'n time!!! So tired of that 80's over produced drum sounds. Thanks Rival Sons for get'n it right on so many levels!!!!
This band is sofa king awesome! I don't understand why they are not the hugest, most popular band in the world. If bands were guaged on size of there balls, this band is 2 wrecking balls.
I hope they play this set in Little Rock in may 2023. Had they recorded from 1965-75 they’d be considered one of the all time great bands. It’s sad todays radio is corporate and bands don’t get air play.
