By far the best way to spend a gorgeous day, with your mate riding side by side, on a river having fun. You're almost like the Motorcyclists of the Canal...
The foliage at the side was mainly wild Pampus grass. How beautiful is the Countryside we are so lucky you have shared your lovely adventures with us. 👍♥️👍
What a glorious, fun day you guys had😀 So very different from the usual collaborations on one boat. Really quite cool to see two narrowboats (and their crews of course) playing, I mean cruising😉, together on the waterways. Thanks for taking us along.
Your journey is awesome. Love watching the old stuff too but there is a lot of catch up but I enjoy every one of them. l Love the guy's dog encounter, precious.
Started fun, love the map of waterway, gets better, then....I felt like I was on board for such a beautiful, relaxing trip!! This was so spectacular, thank you!
I just love how all you narrow boaters get along so well together, it's wonderful to see how you all help each other out. A real community spirit going on there. A treat to watch you all living your dreams much love xxx
It is a wonderful community, if you breakdown you can just about guarantee within the next three boats someone will offer to help. Won't get that on the roads!
I grew up in Stourport. My sister used to clean the hire boats down there for a season. As a young kid, I helped move a couple of boats thru the locks in the basin. was so so much fun!
LisaMarli. My little dog - a Lachon, (Lassa Absu + Bichon Frise) is generally well behaved and seems to like being with me and his extended family (my mates.) He lives with two cats, one which puts up with him (and sometimes quite likes him) but the other one doesn't like him and hisses and spits at him! Of course he barks at her and I'm sure he would bark at Munchie on principle. Looks like a lovely cruise and doing so in company was very nice. We are afloat next week, as Enthusiastic Hire Boaters, just doing the classic; Wigram's Turn to Stoke Bruerne and back. Can't wait to get afloat.
I think a 10/10 all round. Just watched both vlogs back to back. Jono is a top guy. You'd have him on your team what ever your doing. Love Molly, who wouldn't hurt a fly, but try telling Munchie that!! Delightful vixens as always. Lovely to see the smiles, the sunshine and the animals. Fair cheers you up on a cold 5' c night. xx
Watching you two ladies travelling with Jono along the canals make me want to return to the UK . My wife and I have been back quite a few times and even hired a narrow boat twice . As I originally came from near Rugby I know Braunston and Crick quite well , I don't know if you have travelled the Grand Union at Newbold on Avon but as a kid we used to swim under that tunnel there . I've now lived in Australia for nearly 50 years and once the restrictions and my chemo is under control we will again come back to the Uk for a holiday . Keep having fun . Regards to Jono . Mal and Ellen in Australia
Nice video Kath and Annamarie.... I was asleep and awoken on NB Owamya in Stourport Basin when I heard, well more like felt you engage contact the lock gate..... fabulous day for messing about on the river. x
We moored at Stourport together, so Munchy and Alice had seen Molly before- and I think it was just so funny that Munchy thought 'hey, why's that dog following us?'
This was just wonderful to watch and the two lock keepers were so fun. Loved Kath's crash-BAM and then she just carried on like "whatever". The Molly cat stand off was great to see lol.
The double-wide locks on the river are much like the locks on the Rideau Canal. Run by Parks Canada, with Lock Masters at each station, there's not much to do but keep you lines in order and ride the lift or drop. Doubling up is common and you always keep your wits about you as the next person coming in might not have their skills in good order. Loved the ride along!
That Jono, what a gentleman. 'Smashing' vlog ;) How can you not love the Severn - you should give it a shot in the Autumn, you wake up in the morning with the river shrouded in mist - truly awesome. Great vlog ladies.
OMG!!! Three of my four fav narrowtubers! Soooooo great to see the side by side cruising, and the tea mug handoff was brill! Munchie and Molly...priceless! You made my week and it's only Wednesday. 😊 ❤️💛💚💙💜💖
We did exactly the same journey back in Oct. '17 towards the end of our week's cruising the Stourport ring - the only differences being the fact that we had to handle those last few canal locks on our own & we moored up overnight on the pontoon moorings on the Severn just after the last (canal) lock. Guess which numpty left one of the gate paddles open on the very last lock ?! 😨 I also remember those 1st few locks on the Droitwich Barge Canal as being incredibly heavy !! Thanks for the great memories ladies xx
Great vlog.Nice to see you cruising with Jono, who was the first person who got me interested in narrowboat vlogs.(a lot more stuff here than first expected). Severn is lovely when it is not in flood glad you got to enjoy it.
I’m late to this vid but so enjoyed it! Great to be transported into summer again. The river part reminds me of a boat trip we go on on the river Waveney in Suffolk! Beautiful. Also enjoyed pussycat face at the end! 😂
Good one girls and Jono . I see Molly teasing the cats and the cats a bit wary . It was good for you to have company on the river , i'm waiting for the next installment :-)
That was very well calculated Kath! "If I bump the mouth of the lock at this angle and at this speed, then the boat will bounce off and set on a straight course into the lock". That would be my line anyway. Very nice video as always. Thoroughly enjoyed the scenery on the Severn.
11/10 for Lock navigation!.....😏...😏...! Well done Ladies! I am very proud of you both! A wonderful cruise with lots of fun and laughter, and some excellent help from some cheery lockkeepers! Good company with Jono and Molly...who terrified Munchie and Alice...😄...😄...!
I learned how to do my solar set up for my Vardo from watching Jono's channel .. 3 of my Favorite people on one channel A Lucky day for me ...GREAT VIDEO :-):-):-)
Loved that one lady’s very relaxing,by the way I used to be a plastic boat owner, but couldn’t get the places you do,boat to wide, but had a lot of fun on tidal rivers, not up your street Annemarie by the way loved the painting with bridge and train
Ladies, can you travel the Severn, Moor at the most of the riverside? Recon myself many months could be spent up and down. The boar could be interesting ever new tide. Nice to see you so happy,
