Best part is when you start doing things that didn’t seem possible before… they just start to happen. Like connecting on a little snapper one timer off a pass. Greatest thing about picking up hockey is how many things there are to get better at.
It's great with personal goals, as long as you've got enough time on the ice to realistically meet your own expectations. I'm working on slap shots, although they aren't permitted in our league, and as they're opening up an local outdoor rink (with zambonis and flood lights) just a couple of minutes away, there's ample opportunity to spend hours daily improving the technique; access to an outdoor rink makes it a no brainer to spend hours on end on the small details, techniques and overall puck handling compared to 2 - 3 hours of practice in the league.
I played in a no slapper last year and I couldn’t take it anymore. Just seemed to really change the game overall. Everyone was shooting really wierd because most can’t do toe drag wristers in beer league. Have you thought about hitting up one league with them?
Any suggestions on how to keep the shot low? Do you find you have to take some power off the shot to keep it low or can you shoot just as hard low as high?
Where you hit it on the blade matters. Especially with p28 little more heal. Will depend on curve and kick Point then technique. So without seeing all those specs a bit hard to help completely. But there’s definitely things you can do. Limited follow throw and power, make Sure you hit more heal, keep Puck less in front of you on the shot
Hey Justin, love the content 👌🏻 I’m currently using Low kick PROs with a Malkin curve which I love but have spotted an LX Pro with a Malkin curve on Hockey Stick man and fancy giving it a try. Based on everything you’ve tested since would you say it’s worth grabbing it will I have the chance?
That’s a great point. It’s a good price so I’ll take the gamble, might even end up being as good but with some grip 😂 Good luck on the road to 100, although it doesn’t look like you’ll need it.
I'm going to test an R proto but I need help choosing flex. I weigh 149 pounds and use a ccm trigger 7 with 70 flex. Knowing that Boron is more rigid, which flex should I choose for my new proto R stick? (I play roller hockey in Brazil)
@@DiegoButzke the ccms are a bit longer so if you go with a Bauer it’s a bit more true to flex. If you’re cutting CCM’s usually 77 in Bauer is prob better but if not you’re going to have a length discrepancy. Either way the 70 in the proto is a very easy to load stick
Which is Div 9-10 in normal hockey, which he has no business playing in but here he is lighting up leagues where the skill level is way below. Personal goals guys though…… feed that ego big boy
