Man I feel the pain. Had a chopped 74 Ironhead. Frickin awesome looking bike. Barebones but it was a bitch. Always wrenching, finicky S&S super E. Had nightmares about it falling apart ( literally nightmares). Finally got back to good old EFI push a button springer. Whew.😅 No more kick, kick, kick. Too old for that shit now. Kudos to you guys for the patience and endurance to keep going. You’re young enjoy👍
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video. It was like a time warp complete with music. Takes me back to my days of riding in the late 60's & early 70's on chopped Panheads & Sportsters. It's great to see younger people still riding the old scooters. Ride safe & thanks again for posting this.
Mazi I love watching you younger guys riding and kicking your old bikes! I am NOT a young man anymore and had to sell my 68 ironhead bobber. And my 76 ironhead 8 0ver chopper that I built! And bought a 2006 EVO bike thats electric start! First time ever having one! "Electric start" But you guys make me proud of the next gen of REAL bikers! Building bikes has been the best part of my life! And the friends I've met along the way! I hope you will look back on this time in your life and smile as i do! Keep the rubber side down! And keep doing what you do! Thanks for the vids Brother!
HD did a dirty deed after 2022 when they dropped the 883 in the USA. Such an Iconic engine. More than enough for almost everything except really high speed interstate touring.
"Big Sur" -- Magic Castles! That Surf-a-delic guitar solo just exudes California coast soul. I've always thought that tune would go great with a bike ride along the CA coast. Thanks for using that tune in this fantastic video! A shout out to California Choppers and Mazi Moto! -- A former resident of Santa Rosa, CA.
Thanks a lot Walter, we actually used it in this video per your recommendation on one of our last videos, keep those music recommendations coming we dig your taste! Appreciate you following along!
@@947w0rks -- Thanks a million! That tune, "Big Sur" by Magic Castles exemplifies what California is all about -- fantastic scenery, choppers and good times riding with your pals and gals. Besides being in a band back in the 1960s, I was also a fledging chopper jockey. That was before Fonda and Hopper's little motorcycle movie. Ed Roth's do-it-yourself pamphlets namely "California Choppers" were my inspiration. You cats know what to build and ride. Born Free is THE main event! Build right. Ride safe. More clicks from the good old days on the way. -- W
that is absolutely one of the best viseos i have seen in a long time. those classic kick ass hard starting butt killers. i felt bad for the guy always breaking. hell it bummed me out. great ride, great bikes. awesome trip.
...never saw such a stubborn spindle! anyway; in all these years riding old bikes what I ha been seeing is that most of the failures are due to take the road on a bike that have not the basic service; routine service and general check out like if the throttle wire is ok... add to that, that many only use them to go "around the block" and suddenly they demand a lot for that bike...I am not saying that these are the cases, but is what I have been seeing with old iron; so the problem are not the old bikes but the lack of servicing and a few bucks to throw it to buy couple of more reliable parts. Cheers
That custom extended springer on that righteous shovelhead at 11:38 looks like a Columbus Enterprises springer or one from Fury. That fork looks like the one my pal ran on his 1965 panhead back in the 1970s. Thanks, Yama, for the great riding footage. It's the best I've seen on RU-vid! Ride safe, Yama, Blue, Mike, Joey, and the rest of your crew. Thanks, Joey Ukrop, for the great photo work!
Love the bikes! Great camerawork and music too! So good to see younger guys into the "old school' customs! Brings back my early riding days-I'm 68. Had a chopped Honda 500 4-cyc then a 1974 XLH 1000 with 4in over forks -then i went 'sensible" -started long affairs with BMWs and Triumphs with a few Japanese models thrown in
How do u do ur camera work it’s amazing one handed and u usually follow the bike even while they are riding from the back then riding pass by u. I simply love it. Keep it up. But bro it’s dangerous. Be safe.
Abrazo grande
About the broken Honda rear-wheel,..if you tighten the rear-axle nut too much you put too much pressure on the bearings and the spacer…especially if it’s a thin one and the what happens is the friction will “weld” the bearings to the axle….and yes you’ll have serious problems. My buddy tried that and he have to toss the whole wheel….!
me hizo recordar la pelicula easyriders aunque en momentos los vi como hells angels , hermosas e inpresionantes los paisajes al atardecer , jesus chile🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
