Michael is joined by Tiffany Cross, Angela Rye and Andrew Gillum. Tiffany, Angela and Andrew discuss the intention behind their new podcast, Native Land Pod and have a nuanced discussion on whether or not to engage with Black people considering casting their ballot for Trump. The script flips and Michael is interviewed on his role with the Tea Party, GOP and MAGA today, including his "Fire Pelosi" campaign and whether he regrets it. Angela's parents make a couple of cameos, too. Part II of this episode drops Saturday, March 23rd.

If I was in this room I would ask, "What are the policies Black conservatives think benefits our race?" This distinction is important because the arguments I've heard completely ignores the existence of systemic racism.

Thank you. Standing on truth is as more important than following the masses. I am very much in alignment, in which I DO NOT WATCH AND/OR SUPPORT anything or anyone or any entity organization(s) that do not support my causes. Likewise, I am very outspoken on my place of employment; as such I am highly respected but not liked. For which I have blatantly told the owners that I am not there to be liked. The majority of them do not speak with nor greet me warmly. LIKEWISE - I treat them with disdain as well. Enough said. Stay strong and never, never give into B.S. THANKS.

Michael - As a viewer of the Frankenstein discussion and with all due respect, you kept saying, "I had to get (Joe Walsh, Tim Scott, fill in the blank) elected." But the truth of the matter is you didn't "have to." And I hope you will reflect on this conversation and see that if the candidates you led the charge to elevate did not align with YOUR principles and values, then no you didn't have to. You had the choice to proceed as you did or to fire yourself before they had a chance to. AND your animation and fiery, refusing to give up response to Angela and Tiffany is a dead giveaway to the regret that you may have hidden from yourself. As Chairman, you - perhaps unwittingly - helped lay the path for a monster who is now at the helm of an autocratic movement that is set on, not just getting their candidates elected, but on dismantling the fabric of our democracy and along with those actions the black people who did not vote for them in 2020. I for one pray that, ultimately, none of us will not enable them in their quest to destroy us by denying them our votes.

I absolutely agree with Angela Rye on this point. Micheal Steele, you are not that gullible to me. The need to realize and / or acknowledge that during that time of the "tea party" was the building up to this moment of megaTrumpers That said, when it comes to the Republicans, their platform remains consistent with policy's that harm our community. Steele keeps talking about his job description and his state. It actually was bigger than his narrow perception, i.e., his job. You Micheal were on the opposing side, chanting "fired N.Pelosi " It felt very misogynistic from my view.

I appreciate what Andrew said about being prepared and taking advantage of an opportunity. We have all thought “maybe I can make a difference in a space!” I think a lot of minorities have conservative values or you think you are voting your income level. The reality now is that we are going to have to fight for our lives this election. Fight for our children’s lives. We could end up having Russia or some other world power trying to march on our shores.

That was an excellent contribution to the conversation. Michael had a challenging job running the RNC as a Black man. I recall the elevation of JC Watt and how marginalized he became when the power struggles occurred in the House. Michael has used various media platforms to shift the narrative about himself that weren't available to JC, and that is a good thing. Glad to know more about the ways our perspectives as Black people shape the political discourse.

I hope they take this in mind - this lack of thought, in creating the title of this podcast. It says that they are not as in touch with what is going on around them, as they would have you believe. I raised the point of what was meant by this name, for their show immediately, as that is the question it created in my mind - that it was in someway connected to this movement among some Black people to claim native descent.. It is the same lack of forethought that was lacking. in selecting the generalized phrase Black lives matter, to address the specific and serious issue of the unjustified killing of Black people by law enforcement officers and racist. It was predictable, what the logical response to that would be, let alone how Conservatives would respond to it.
