Hot tip from Phoenix, slather on the SPF cremes once every 4 hours (none of that spray nonsense), and next time you're in LA find a plant nursery and buy yourselves a whole Aloe Vera plant to haul in. The jelly stuff is basically isopropyl, if you hack all the fronds off and cut away all the spikes you can keep them in a rubbish bag in a cooler, once you need relief just filet one and rub the inside bit all over, cools you down and cures the burnies straight away.
