I followed your practice routine about a month ago, and now I'm using it as the essential block to build my own daily practice routine. It keeps my practice sessions more organized. Most importantly, I have a clear sense of direction what to practice everyday. By the way, just to add to your list: NOT writing a practice journal. I didn't write a practice journal until a month ago. Now I feel like having a practice journal keeps track my progress and keeps me motivated to achieve my daily/weekly/monthly goal 😄
This is terrific! I fall victim to playing too fast and playing the parts I do better at. I'm starting to stop when I make a mistake, and work it out before moving on. This is a great list!
Thanks for this Dominic. My problem is no 12, motivation. I've got a busy job that wears out my brain and fills it with stuff, which makes it hard to switch off in the evening and get a clear head to practice. I've tried doing my practice 1st thing in the morning before starting work, but that doesn't work either. I suspect the answer is to just do what I can!
