Over the course of this series of videos I have gained a whole new level of respect for your team. It's refreshing having so much behind the scenes stuff being shown, and this old race fan thanks you from the bottom of my heart.
Love it when team owners get down and dirty with their cars. leadership starts from the top and Todd, you and your team are doing an awesome job. I love this series and please keep it rolling on race days with wrapups after races, etc. 👍
Man I'm loving these vids...congrats to all the KR team, I can't wait to see them killing it on the track. Maybe we might see Todd co-driving this year👍
Most of the other teams in the supercars paddock won’t even show you under the bonnet of their car let alone show the engine internals ! I did notice that there wasn’t a camshaft , piston or combustion chamber in sight though 😂 . You sure do have a very talented and dedicated team there at KR and to get those cars built in that time frame is astonishing! I really do hope that 2020 is a fantastic one for KR as you guys deserve it ! You do know that Larko is going to pester you to death with silly questions now you race Fords 🤪
A truly amazing job to get all of that engine development work done over Christmas in 15 weeks! The engine sounded sweet. Well done to all involved. Good to have KR in a Ford.
Another interesting and informative episode. This series has been truely awesome! Thanks again for taking us along. Can't wait to see Kelly Racing on the grid. Give them Hell!
This series has been one of the reasons I've switched to Kelly Racing as my #1 team this season. I've never bought any merch from any team, but I will this year to support these guys and thank them for keeping Andre on and caring enough about the fans to do this sort of thing.
What a sensational group of people you have working in Kelly Racing, not only do you get your hands dirty Todd, but the vision, build quality, finish and what has been achieved in 15 weeks is remarkable. All the best to you, the team and drivers for 2020.
Nothing better in this day and age of racing than a team boss getting his hands dirty helping his team get a car ready for racing. Well done KR and great video Todd!!
So much heart & soul in this team compared to a billion dollar F1 tycoon. Videos like this make us fans so much more involved in the racing. Love your work.
Another fire breathing V8 Ford comes to life...go Kellys...watching with great interest this season....and great series behind V8 Supercars. PAUL FRENCH
Bloody Hell Toddler, what u and ur team have done in 15 weeks has been nothing short of miraculous!! I’ve really appreciated the tech talk from urself and all the episodes thus far!!! An all mighty effort and all the very best for the season champion!! 🏎💨💨🏆🏆👍
I can not explain how happy I am to finally be able to cheer on Kelly Racing. Ever since they moved over to Nissan I followed what the team was up to but could not genuinely wish them well on race day (being a Ford man through and through). These video's have really shown how professional the Team is and how hands on Todd is with the Team. I wish KR the absolute best of luck in 2020 and can't wait to see what they can do with a competitive package.
Absolutely loving this series, makes it easy to get behind this team. Seriously hoping you take it right up to the Cane toad teams and consistently challenging for wins.
Wow, I'm becoming a fan of KR! These videos have been a huge eye opener to me on the work that goes on behind the scenes - before the season starts!. There is a truly dedicated and talented team working hard to get these cars , firstly homologated and then, to the track. I'm an old fella & have been a staunch, one eyed, supporter of a another team since the late '70's - that will not ever change. But, respect, for what you guys have achieved, and what you are going to achieve, in a short time. I do believe I shall be barracking for two FORD teams with Kiwi drivers this season!!
Thank you for sharing this process. I always knew a lot of work went into making a race car but, you are opening my eye as to just how much work needs to be done to create the vehicles we love to see running around the race tracks.
Kelly Racing Bravo, awesome job guys that Ford V8 sounds beautiful. Thanks for taking us on this journey with the build I'm enjoying every episode, can't wait for the next one. Best of luck this year you guys deserve it
A lot of work has done into on building those cars and engines The entire team and fabricators engine guys and girls the hole lot of you guys have my most respect. And seeing every video the road to Mustang has given me a new outlook on what it takes and goes into each and every team much more appreciated as a fan of the sport. Thank you!! Cant wait to see those cars on track soon.
Love these videos Kelly racing are awesome for showing what others wont . Cant wait to see Andre and Rick this season Thats coming form a big Holden fan
I had a fair idea that we would not get to see some technically important things like ring set up, pin height, top of the pistons and combustion chambers, but still surprised at everything we were allowed to see. Excellent work from the machine shop, and another excellent video in the series.
I bleed blue blood and I'm thrilled to bits to see an iconic Aussie team switch to the Blue Oval ...I'll be wishing you guys every success this year coming from a short lead in time . Ultimately I think you have made a great decision but 2020 might be a year for lots of R&D on the run .. Look out for the Kelly Gang in a big way in the next couple of seasons..
All of the team at KR. Wow, what a fantastic experience, following your journey has been a great experience! I hope to be able to meet you at the Bend, 18th February on the test day. You can count me in as a KR supporter. By the way, Andrea's video, It was nice to see his dedication , thanks for sharing all. There's a future champion on his way.
i am born and bred Holden and im sure im not the only one here, and im also sure im not the only Holden person wishing you guys heaps of luck. have enjoyed every step of the road to Mustang and hope you guys add some excitement and competition to the field. looking forward to the next video
That's achievement on an extreme level. It's taking me 15 weeks to organise a set of tyres for my work van, here's an entire billet job and the race car that it goes in! That's a huge spend, I'd be happy to see the production modified varient back on the track or just go to a crate engine. Not as fun but it's more relevant to the market running an engine anyone can buy or already has in their own drive car.
Well done guys this series and the 'real' behind the scenes work has been fantastic and a breath of fresh air in supercars. This has been so much better than the Supercars and E&D superfisual stories. Whole new level of respect from me, good luck for season ahead.
Good on you Kelly's I just love how you have done the lot in house Hope you kick some arse at the front of the field I am going to have to resurrect my Castrol Jacket👍✌️👌
Thank you once again Todd for taking us on the journey with you. The engine sounds sweet as a nut. Congratulations to everyone at KR - you all are doing an outstanding job. Not too long now and we will see your Mustangs on the track.
Hey guys, once agin a top notch overview & I am blown away at the detail you go into. Thank you, no other team in any other category of racing does this it’s brilliant.
I'm loving this series and insight on this process. Thank you kelly racing on giving this opportunity ,to watch this mammoth task of a build. Can't wait to see the next episode
Love this series KR , loving how open you guys are with the build , such a cool thing to see this ground up build of the Stang can't wait to see them on track come march
Fantastic vid and such great work. I don;t know if you're paying much attention to the comments, but if you read this one I have a request: can you get a good onboard video of the car running at the first test? Just a lap or so - it'd be great to hear the engine working under real conditions. Amazing job, well done.
I'm enjoying the series of building a race car from the ground up The engine sounds very mean and strong hopefully that sees you guys up on the podium this year
Absolutely loving this series, gang. What you're achieving here is properly mega, you have an incredible team. Congratulations on putting together what's looking to be a speedy, speedy rocket!
Great work from all your team,It's so good to see the unsung people who make racing possible.Next project,so what classic Ford will you be sourcing for your journey to Bathurst, an X series Ute,sedan, wagon or an ultra rare Blue oval Unicorn? Love the stories behind your previous trips to Mecca, I'm sure you guys will do the Blue Oval proud.
interesting to see how they perform with a known competitive product like the mustang. loved the vids and insight into what has gone into getting ready. hopefully you continue through the season as well
All that’s left now is to build a merc engine! Can you guys share how this engine compares with your GMH and Nissan engines? Would love to know how it compares in torque curve, average power etc.. Well done guys, awesome effort to get it all together in such a short time..
