Loved the battle. Judging appeared fair to me. If Sherrod could get a different job with less talking involved, I think that would also help. Dramatically improve the show even?
This was not nearly as good as I expected it to be. Mark's jokes are just a little too witty to get the immediate laughs needed in a roast battle setting.
He called him out for going over his time.. then they went back and forth, then backstage, went to shake his hand and sherrod slammed him into the wall
I get a kick out of these other comedians thinking the roasters are great….it’s as if they are preparing for whenever they go up and hopefully people compliment their crappy battle
Considering he was doing edgy Jewish jokes, Mark should have done something about Mr. Clean and showers. Not sure what the joke is. But pretty low hanging fruit.
The showers were like Spider-Man’s bite in the way that they gave him his sense for filth and powers for cleaning. Coming soon to a theatre near you, Mr. Clean and N#zi boy!
…odd tech, imbalance very not fair: how at end of performance, at start of judgement, judge took Berg’s mic, + so he lost his voice! + chance to patter back and forth with judges; all the while? Berg’s opponent chattered away back and forth with the judges, expanding his brand even as the judges were forming their comments, one-sidedly informing the judges unfairly, anchoring his comic jabs further, + happily taking full advantage of disarmed voiceless Berg, put on ice by lack of mic… tech support fucked up! future: mic’s for all participants: duo-roasting is a voice art!
