Honestly man I would’ve loved to see what Adam’s could’ve become with no injuries. Yes the picks could’ve been high but this guy was putting up numbers from 18-20
I remember arguing with a Seahawks fan, telling him: "Careful what you wish for! He can't cover a bed with a bed sheet!" I say it panned out for the Jets! they got a haul for him!😂
Awesome video! Just forgot to mention the part where the Seahawks cut him and no one has signed him. XD LOL Thanks for the draft assets, Jamal! I’ll always remember you as the biggest diva, egotistical, “me” player I’ve witnessed the Jets draft. Jamal was my draft crush coming out and was my favorite player for years. Then he became a diva, shat on the fanbase, demanded a trade, tweeted at one of our journalists w/ a picture of his girlfriend with the caption “yikes.” Most classless player I’ve witnessed on the Jets and it’s not even close. Trash character, trash attitude. Thanks for the draft capital, bro. Good luck the rest of your career, hope you grow up one day, bro.
Damn my mans had some WORDS to say 😂😂😂 appreciate the love on the video though! I could be wrong but I think I did mention him getting cut towards the middle. But as a Celtics fan, I have the same words to say about Kyrie so I totally understand
@@maskedman5657 I’m not sure what disrespecting a beat reporter by tweeting a picture of a beat reporter w/ his girlfriend and the caption “yikes” has to do with the coaching staff from three years ago. But OK.
Part of the Seahawks game has been to invest money in positions that don’t get paid, Safeties are underpaid for their impact on the field, so having Earl Thomas on your team gives you a great value for what you’re paying him. The hopes was that Jamal Adam’s would have as much of an impact as Earl Thomas, which was a mighty big ask.
yup, they traded away Max Unger because they "couldnt afford his extension"... his new contract was for 6 million AAV, Jimmy Graham whom they traded for made 9/9/10 million in his respective seasons... Unger remained a pro bowler and one of the top Centers in the game. Jimmy Graham wasnt even utilized correctly... as a 9er fan it was really funny to watch Pete and John try and make moves without Scot McCloughan telling them which players to get.
Marcus Mayes was a better safety all around than Jamal he was just hurt most of the time he was a better cover safety and better tackler while Jamal blitzed endlessly and was a bigger hitter .
Jets fleeced the Seahawks with the 2 numbers #1’s that turned out to be Vera Tucker and Garret Wilson while Jamal Adams was hurt most of the times his first seasons in Seattle and they had to pay a box safety that ridiculous money or both then GM and Carrol would have been fired
Lets goo jets , great breakdown that trade really helped us even though at the time I really like the Jamal Adams because he was a stud but he did way too much to get off the team, and we did have a trash coach at the time but still you cannot force yourself out like that it was a very bad look on his part
Injuries are a result of an excess of force being applied to any particular part of the body. The easiest way to reduce these forces is to slow the players down. I had thought to mandate larger heavier pads, but that would probably have more drawbacks than it’s worth. Taking the cleats off the footwear would not increase the forces being applied in any aspect of the game, and most certainly would slow them down considerably. Speed is relative to whatever is around it. The players would still look just as fast, and most fans couldn’t spot the difference between a 4.6 and 4.9 40yd anyway. Slowing them down will help protect the owners investment and lengthen the player’s careers.
@@acandela1294 I would think the lack of grip would result in a net lower force being applied to all the ligaments. I Imagine a racecar under acceleration with all the forces being applied to the drivetrain. The less force needed to brake traction the less chance of something inside that drivetrain breaking. I concede athletes are not racecars, but the same logic should hold true.
@@ericheisler5351 right but on a rainy day when a foot goes to stop it may keep sliding which is dangerous for the legs. Would be better for heads for sure but lots of lower body injuries
@@acandela1294 i will concede that cutting at speed in the rain without cleats could result in surpassing the threshold a sneaker could handle. I would rather my sneaker’s traction being the weakest part of the system vs my ligaments. Athletes would adapt. NFL players routinely break 20mph. A 200lb force moving at 20mph coming into contact with another 200lb force is an incredible amount of energy, and all energy needs to go somewhere. Slowing them down to 17mph would reduce the forces tremendously. Additionally, because top end wouldn’t have the impact it currently does losing a step at 31 would no longer be a career death sentence. I’m not in position to make this change. It’s more a thought experiment in how to make things a bit less hazardous.
The Jets took Garrett Wilson with the #10pick that Seattle gave the Jets. Wilson is one of the best young WRs in NFL with back to back 1000 yard seasons with nobody throwing him the Ball. Jets won the trade and Adams isn't even on the Seahawks anymore.
@@m42679 yeah....thanks for answering my question. Lmao. indirectly u did. Cus you know Garret didnt do crap last year with the SAME QB so we cant sit here saying zach wilson held him back bwxauae he got 1,000 yrds with the same dude yr before. Garrett smelled himself too much and fell back to earth, so unless he continues to ascend, maybe jeta win the trade but otherwise its a wash on both sides
@@misters4022 back to back 1000 yard seasons with no QB. Wilson is great WR. Seattle gave up 2 first round picks for a player who took his money and stopped caring completely. Hell I bet Adams will go to SF or KC just to get a ring now.
Since the trade Seahawks: 3 trips to playoffs, 2 div titles, .688 winning percentage Jets: 0 playoff trips, 0 titles of any kind, 4 seasons as worst franchise in the division, 3 years picking in the top 10. Only a poverty franchise calls this a win
as a 9er fan my favorite part about the trade is that Seattle doubled down on the Jamal Adams sunken cost failure last season. they restructured his deal to save only 6 million in cap space. increasing his dead cap hit for the final 2 years. Jamal Adams and Diggs both are equal to 51 million in dead cap of this season and the next... real smart thing to do to your franchise, especially when they had to know they were making a coaching change anyway!
You got a fair point my friend. But he did half the script for the episode which I hope you liked, and he’s my best friend. So whatever little way I can help him out, I’m gonna try my best to do so🤷♂️
OMG, THAT'S why I had an unexplained dislike of CJ Stroud, despite him having done nothing afaik to deserve it. He looks a bit like Jamal Adams. Anyway, the Jets and Seahawks have a weird player exchange. Or am I just imagining it? It seems like every year there's another former of one team playing for the other. Speaking for Jet fans, we honor and cherish D.J. Reed. He and Sauce remind me a bit of Revis and Cromartie, except Reed is better than Cro, and Gardner is great, but Revis was Revis. You don't get two corners like that in consecutive decades. Besides, other Jet fans will kill me, but (I think Sertain might be a tad better than Sauce). Hey who said that?
Two things: First and foremost, what the fuck is up with the slow pan of a shirtless Brady? Nodoby wants to see that. Secondly, Garrett Wilson is better than Keyshawn in my opinion. Jets definitely won this trade and I was happy to see Adams fail in Seattle after running his mouth while he was with the Jets. Good riddance.
You can not sit hit here a straight face and tell me Garrett Wilson is a bum. I’m a Pats fan and I’m saying he’s a stud 😂 Jets absolutely fleeced for once in their life!
Please, Jamal wasn't all that. I'm a die hard Jets fan. And all Adams was, was a glorified box Safety that just so happened to fit DC Greg Williams defensive scheme. We are saw what happen after the trade in a different scheme. He can't cover man, one on one. He looked lost while playing zone. The one thing he was good at, came on blitzes, when he had a free run at the QB. Meaning, no one was there to block him. Please, I've could've put my grandmother in the same scheme and she would've had the same production. JD should have went to jail for Robbery in the first degree for what he did to the Seahawks. Two first round pick, a 3rd rounder and players with expiring contracts. That why I love that man. Trader Joe.
@@Shells_Clips don't understand which part you didn't agree with. I'm a die hard Jets fan like I've said. Meaning, that I watched every game. Jamal was alway suspect on one on one coverages. Looked lost when playing zone, going for the INT instead of covering the man in his zone. Which turned into a big play. I'll give him his blitz ability. But, that came from the scheme that the DC Williams called out. So, again. Which part didn't you agree with.
